ㅅ第(제) 三日(삼일)에 에스더가 王后(왕후)의 禮服(예복)을 입고 ㅇ王宮(왕궁) 안 뜰 곧 御前(어전) 맞은便(편)에 서니 王(왕)이 御前(어전)에서 殿(전) 門(문)을 對(대)하여 寶座(보좌)에 앉았다가
On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king's hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the hall, facing the entrance. Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house. |

王后(왕후) 에스더가 뜰에 선 것을 본즉 甚(심)히 ㅈ사랑스러우므로 ㅊ손에 잡았던 金笏(금홀)을 그에게 내어미니 에스더가 가까이 가서 金笏(금홀) 끝을
만진지라
When he saw Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased with her and held out to her the gold scepter that was in his hand. So Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter. And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre. |

王(왕)이 이르되 王后(왕후) 에스더여 그대의 所願(소원)이 무엇이며 要求(요구)가 무엇이뇨 ㅋ나라의 折半(절반)이라도 그대에게 주겠노라
Then the king asked, "What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be given you." Then said the king unto her, What wilt thou, queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the kingdom. |

에스더가 가로되 오늘 내가 王(왕)을 爲(위)하여 잔치를 베풀었사오니 王(왕)이 善(선)히 여기시거든 하만과 함께 臨(임)하소서
If it pleases the king, replied Esther, "let the king, together with Haman, come today to a banquet I have prepared for him." And Esther answered, If it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him. |

● 王(왕)이 가로되 에스더의 말한 대로 하도록 하만을 急(급)히 부르라 하고 이에 王(왕)이 하만과 함께 에스더의 베푼 잔치에 나아가니라
Bring Haman at once, the king said, "so that we may do what Esther asks." So the king and Haman went to the banquet Esther had prepared. Then the king said, Cause Haman to make haste, that he may do as Esther hath said. So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared. |

ㅌ잔치의 술을 마실 때에 王(왕)이 에스더에게 이르되 ㅍ그대의 所請(소청)이 무엇이뇨 곧 許諾(허락)하겠노라 그대의 要求(요구)가 무엇이뇨 나라의 折半(절반)이라 할찌라도 施行(시행)하겠노라
As they were drinking wine, the king again asked Esther, "Now what is your petition? It will be given you. And what is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted." And the king said unto Esther at the banquet of wine, What is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: and what is thy request? even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed. |

에스더가 對答(대답)하여 가로되 나의 所請(소청), 나의 要求(요구)가 이러하니이다
Esther replied, "My petition and my request is this: Then answered Esther, and said, My petition and my request is; |

ㅎ내가 萬一(만일) 王(왕)의 目前(목전)에서 恩惠(은혜)를 입었고 王(왕)이 내 所請(소청)을 許諾(허락)하시며 내 要求(요구)를 施行(시행)하시기를 善(선)히
여기시거든 ㅏ내가 王(왕)과 하만을 爲(위)하여 베푸는 잔치에 또 나아오소서 來日(내일)은 王(왕)의 말씀대로 하리이다
If the king regards me with favor and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, let the king and Haman come tomorrow to the banquet I will prepare for them. Then I will answer the king's question." If I have found favour in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to morrow as the king hath said. |

● 이 날에 하만이 마음이 ㅑ기뻐 즐거이 나오더니 모르드개가 ㅓ大闕(대궐) 門(문)에 있어 일어나지도 아니하고 ㅕ몸을 움직이지도 아니하는 것을
보고 甚(심)히 怒(노)하나
Haman went out that day happy and in high spirits. But when he saw Mordecai at the king's gate and observed that he neither rose nor showed fear in his presence, he was filled with rage against Mordecai. Then went Haman forth that day joyful and with a glad heart: but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, that he stood not up, nor moved for him, he was full of indignation against Mordecai. |

참고 집에 돌아와서 사람을 보내어 그 親舊(친구)들과 그 아내 ㅗ세레스를 請(청)하여

Nevertheless, Haman restrained himself and went home. Calling together his friends and Zeresh, his wife, Nevertheless Haman refrained himself: and when he came home, he sent and called for his friends, and Zeresh his wife. |

自己(자기)의 富盛(부성)한 榮光(영광)과 ㅛ子女(자녀)가 많은 것과 ㅜ王(왕)이 自己(자기)를
들어 王(왕)의 모든 方伯(방백)이나 臣僕(신복)들보다 높인 것을 다 말하고
Haman boasted to them about his vast wealth, his many sons, and all the ways the king had honored him and how he had elevated him above the other nobles and officials. And Haman told them of the glory of his riches, and the multitude of his children, and all the things wherein the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the princes and servants of the king. |

또 가로되 王后(왕후) 에스더가 그 베푼 잔치에 王(왕)과 함께 오기를 許諾(허락) 받은 者(자)는 나 밖에 없었고 來日(내일)도 王(왕)과 함께 請(청)함을 받았느니라
And that's not all, Haman added. "I'm the only person Queen Esther invited to accompany the king to the banquet she gave. And she has invited me along with the king tomorrow. Haman said moreover, Yea, Esther the queen did let no man come in with the king unto the banquet that she had prepared but myself; and to morrow am I invited unto her also with the king. |

그러나 유다 사람 모르드개가 大闕(대궐) 門(문)에 앉은 것을 보는 동안에는 이 모든 일이 滿足(만족)하지 아니하도다
But all this gives me no satisfaction as long as I see that Jew Mordecai sitting at the king's gate." Yet all this availeth me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate. |

그 아내 세레스와 모든 親舊(친구)가 이르되 ㅠ五十(오십) 규빗이나 높은 나무를 세우고 來日(내일) 王(왕)에게 모르드개를 그 나무에 달기를 求(구)하고 王(왕)과 함께 즐거이 잔치에
나아가소서 하만이 그 말을 善(선)히 여기고 命(명)하여 나무를 세우니라
His wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, "Have a gallows built, seventy-five feet high, and ask the king in the morning to have Mordecai hanged on it. Then go with the king to the dinner and be happy." This suggestion delighted Haman, and he had the gallows built. Then said Zeresh his wife and all his friends unto him, Let a gallows be made of fifty cubits high, and to morrow speak thou unto the king that Mordecai may be hanged thereon: then go thou in merrily with the king unto the banquet. And the thing pleased Haman; and he caused the gallows to be made. |
