The teachers of the law and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat. Saying, The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses' seat: |

그러므로 무엇이든지 저희의 말하는 바는 行(행)하고 지키되 ㄹ저희의 하는 行爲(행위)는 本(본)받지 말라 ㅁ저희는 말만 하고 行(행)치 아니하며
So you must obey them and do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach. All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not. |

ㅂ또 무거운 짐을 묶어 사람의 어깨에 지우되 自己(자기)는 이것을 한 손가락으로도 움직이려 하지 아니하며
They tie up heavy loads and put them on men's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them. For they bind heavy burdens and grievous to be borne, and lay them on men's shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers. |

저희 모든 行爲(행위)를 ㅅ사람에게 보이고자 하여 하나니 곧 그 ㅇ차는 經文(경문)을 넓게 하며 ㅈ옷술을 크게 하고
Everything they do is done for men to see: They make their phylacteries wide and the tassels on their garments long; But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, |

ㅊ잔치의 上席(상석)과 ㅋ會堂(회당)의 上座(상좌)와
they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, |

ㅌ市場(시장)에서 問安(문안) 받는 것과 사람에게 ㅍ랍비라 稱(칭)함을 받는 것을 좋아하느니라
they love to be greeted in the marketplaces and to have men call them 'Rabbi.' And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. |

ㅎ그러나 너희는 랍비라 稱(칭)함을 받지 말라 너희 ㅏ先生(선생)은 하나이요 너희는 다 ㅑ兄弟(형제)니라
But you are not to be called 'Rabbi,' for you have only one Master and you are all brothers. But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren. |

ㅓ땅에 있는 者(자)를 아비라 하지 말라 ㅕ너희 아버지는 하나이시니 곧 하늘에 계신 者(자)시니라
And do not call anyone on earth 'father,' for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. |

또한 指導者(지도자)라 稱(칭)함을 받지 말라 너희 指導者(지도자)는 하나이니 곧 ㅗ그리스도니라

For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. |

● ㅠ禍(화) 있을찐저 外飾(외식)하는 書記官(서기관)들과 바리새人(인)들이여 너희는 으天國(천국) 門(문)을 사람들 앞에서 닫고 너희도 이들어가지 않고 들어가려 하는 者(자)도 들어가지 못하게 하는도다
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the kingdom of heaven in men's faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. |

Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. |

● 禍(화) 있을찐저 ㄷ소경된 ㄹ引導者(인도자)여 너희가 말하되 ㅁ누구든지 聖殿(성전)으로 盟誓(맹세)하면 아무 일 없거니와 聖殿(성전)의 金(금)으로 盟誓(맹세)하면 지킬지라 하는도다
Woe to you, blind guides! You say, 'If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple, he is bound by his oath.' Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor! |

愚氓(우맹)이요 소경들이여 어느 것이 크뇨 그 金(금)이냐 金(금)을 거룩하게 하는 ㅂ聖殿(성전)이냐

And he who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it. And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein. |

또 ㅊ하늘로 盟誓(맹세)하는
者(자)는 ㅋ하나님의 寶座(보좌)와 그 위에 ㅌ앉으신 이로 盟誓(맹세)함이니라
And he who swears by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it. And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon. |

● ㅍ禍(화) 있을찐저 外飾(외식)하는 書記官(서기관)들과 바리새人(인)들이여 너희가 薄荷(박하)와
ㅎ茴香(회향)과 芹菜(근채)의 ㅏ十一條(십일조)를 드리되 律法(율법)의 더 重(중)한 바 ㅑ義(의)와 仁(인)과 信(신)은 버렸도다 그러나
ㅓ이것도 行(행)하고 저것도 버리지 말아야 할찌니라
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenth of your spices--mint, dill and cummin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law--justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. |

ㅛ盞(잔)과 대접의 겉은 ㅜ깨끗이 하되 그 안에는 ㅠ貪慾(탐욕)과 放蕩(방탕)으로 가득하게 하는도다
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. |

소경된 바리새人(인)아 너는 먼저 안을 깨끗이 하라
그리하면 겉도 깨끗하리라
Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also. |

● 으禍(화) 있을찐저 外飾(외식)하는 書記官(서기관)들과 바리새人(인)들이여 이灰漆(회칠)한 무덤 같으니 겉으로는 아름답게 보이나 그 안에는 죽은 사람의 뼈와 ㅐ모든 더러운 것이 가득하도다
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead men's bones and everything unclean. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. |

이와같이 너희도 ㄱ겉으로는 사람에게 옳게 보이되 안으로는 ㄴ外飾(외식)과 不法(불법)이 가득하도다
In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. |

● ㄷ禍(화) 있을찐저 外飾(외식)하는 書記官(서기관)들과 바리새人(인)들이여 너희는 先知者(선지자)들의 무덤을 쌓고
義人(의인)들의 碑石(비석)을 꾸미며 가로되
Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, |
30 |
萬一(만일) 우리가 祖上(조상) 때에 있었더면 우리는 저희가 先知者(선지자)의 피를 흘리는데 參與(참여)하지 아니하였으리라 하니
And you say, 'If we had lived in the days of our forefathers, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.' And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. |

그러면 너희가 ㄹ先知者(선지자)를 죽인 者(자)의 子孫(자손)됨을 스스로 證據(증거)함이로다

So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. |

Fill up, then, the measure of the sin of your forefathers! Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. |

뱀들아 ㅂ毒蛇(독사)의 새끼들아 너희가 어떻게 ㅅ地獄(지옥)의 判決(판결)을 避(피)하겠느냐
You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell? Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? |

ㅇ그러므로 ㅈ내가 너희에게 ㅊ先知者(선지자)들과 智慧(지혜)있는 者(자)들과 ㅋ書記官(서기관)들을 보내매 너희가 ㅌ그 中(중)에서 더러는 죽이고
十字架(십자가)에 못박고 그 中(중)에 더러는 너희 會堂(회당)에서 ㅍ채찍질하고 이 洞里(동리)에서 저 洞里(동리)로
ㅎ驅迫(구박)하리라
Therefore I am sending you prophets and wise men and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: |

그러므로 義人(의인) ㅏ아벨의 피로부터 ㅑ聖殿(성전)과 ㅓ祭壇(제단) 사이에서 너희가 ㅕ죽인 바라갸의 아들
ㅗ사가랴의 피까지 땅 위에서 흘린 ㅛ義(의)로운 피가 다 너희에게 돌아 가리라
And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. |

내가 眞實(진실)로 너희에게 이르노니 ㅜ이것이 다 이 世代(세대)에게 돌아가리라
I tell you the truth, all this will come upon this generation. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. |
37 |
● ㅠ예루살렘아 예루살렘아 으先知者(선지자)들을 죽이고 네게 派送(파송)된 者(자)들을 돌로 치는 者(자)여 이암탉이 그 새끼를
ㅐ날개 아래 모음같이 내가 ㄱ네 子女(자녀)를 ㄴ모으려 한 일이 ㄷ몇번이냐 그러나 ㄹ너희가 願(원)치
아니하였도다
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! |

보라 ㅁ너희 집이 荒廢(황폐)하여 버린바 되리라
Look, your house is left to you desolate. Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. |
39 |
내가 너희에게 이르노니 이제부터 너희는 讚頌(찬송)하리로다 ㅂ主(주)의 이름으로 오시는
이여
할 때까지 나를 보지 못하리라 하시니라
For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.'" For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord. |
