When King Hezekiah heard this, he tore his clothes and put on sackcloth and went into the temple of the LORD. And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD. |

宮內(궁내) 大臣(대신) 엘리야김과 書記官(서기관) 셉나와 祭司長(제사장) 中(중) 長老(장로)들에게 굵은 베를 입혀서 아모스의 아들 先知者(선지자) 이사야에게로 보내매
He sent Eliakim the palace administrator, Shebna the secretary and the leading priests, all wearing sackcloth, to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz. And he sent Eliakim, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz. |

저희가 이사야에게 이르되 히스기야의 말씀이 오늘은 困難(곤난)과 責罰(책벌)과 凌辱(능욕)의 날이라 아이가 臨産(임산)하였으나 解産(해산)할 힘이 없도다
They told him, "This is what Hezekiah says: This day is a day of distress and rebuke and disgrace, as when children come to the point of birth and there is no strength to deliver them. And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. |

랍사게가 그 主(주) 앗수르 王(왕)의 보냄을 받고 와서 ㄴ사신 하나님을 毁謗(훼방)하였으니 ㄷ當身(당신)의 하나님 여호와께서 或時(혹시) 저의 말을 들으셨을찌라 當身(당신)의 하나님 여호와께서 그 들으신
말을 因(인)하여 꾸짖으실듯하니 當身(당신)은 이 ㄹ남아 있는 者(자)를 爲(위)하여 祈禱(기도)하소서 하더이다
It may be that the LORD your God will hear all the words of the field commander, whom his master, the king of Assyria, has sent to ridicule the living God, and that he will rebuke him for the words the LORD your God has heard. Therefore pray for the remnant that still survives." It may be the LORD thy God will hear all the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God; and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that are left. |

이와 같이 히스기야王(왕)의 臣僕(신복)이 이사야에게 나아가니
When King Hezekiah's officials came to Isaiah, So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah. |

이사야가 저희에게 이르되 너희는 너희 主(주)에게 이렇게 告(고)하라 여호와의 말씀이 너는 ㅁ앗수르 王(왕)의 臣僕(신복)에게 들은바 ㅂ나를 凌辱(능욕)하는 말을 因(인)하여 두려워하지 말라
Isaiah said to them, "Tell your master, 'This is what the LORD says: Do not be afraid of what you have heard--those words with which the underlings of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. |

내가 한 靈(영)을 저의 속에 두어 ㅅ저로 風聞(풍문)을 듣고 그 本國(본국)으로 돌아가게 하고 또 ㅇ그 本國(본국)에서 저로 칼에 죽게 하리라 하셨느니라
Listen! I am going to put such a spirit in him that when he hears a certain report, he will return to his own country, and there I will have him cut down with the sword.'" Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land. |

● 랍사게가 돌아가다가 앗수르 王(왕)이 이미 ㅈ라기스에서 떠났다 함을 듣고 ㅊ립나로 가서 王(왕)을 만났으니 王(왕)이 거기서 싸우는 中(중)이더라
When the field commander heard that the king of Assyria had left Lachish, he withdrew and found the king fighting against Libnah. So Rabshakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish. |

너희는 유다 王(왕) 히스기야에게 이같이 말하여 이르기를 ㅌ너의 依賴(의뢰)하는 네 하나님이 ㅍ예루살렘을 앗수르 王(왕)의 손에 붙이지 않겠다 하는 말에
속지 말라
Say to Hezekiah king of Judah: Do not let the god you depend on deceive you when he says, 'Jerusalem will not be handed over to the king of Assyria.' Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria. |

앗수르의 列王(열왕)이 列邦(열방)에 行(행)한바 殄滅(진멸)한 일을 네가 들었나니 네가 어찌 救援(구원)을 얻겠느냐
Surely you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all the countries, destroying them completely. And will you be delivered? Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered? |

내 列祖(열조)가 滅(멸)하신 列邦(열방) 곧 ㅎ고산과 ㅏ하란과 레셉과 들라살에 있는 ㅑ에덴 族屬(족속)을
ㅓ그 나라의 神(신)들이 건졌느냐
Did the gods of the nations that were destroyed by my forefathers deliver them: the gods of Gozan, Haran, Rezeph and the people of Eden who were in Tel Assar? Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelasar? |

하맛 王(왕)과 아르밧 王(왕)과 스발와임城(성)의 王(왕)과 헤나와 아와의 王(왕)들이 다 ㅕ어디 있느냐 하라 하니라

● 히스기야가 使者(사자)의 손에서 ㅗ便紙(편지)를 받아보고 여호와의 殿(전)에 올라가서 그 便紙(편지)를 여호와 앞에 펴놓고

그 앞에서 祈禱(기도)하여 가로되 ㅛ그룹들의 위에 계신 이스라엘 하나님 여호와여 ㅜ主(주)는 天下(천하) 萬國(만국)에 홀로 하나님이시라 主(주)께서 天地(천지)를 造成(조성)하셨나이다
And Hezekiah prayed to the LORD: "O LORD, God of Israel, enthroned between the cherubim, you alone are God over all the kingdoms of the earth. You have made heaven and earth. And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. |

여호와여 ㅠ귀를 기울여 들으소서 여호와여 으눈을 떠서 보시옵소서 산헤립이 이사신 하나님을 毁謗(훼방)하러 보낸 말을 들으시옵소서
Give ear, O LORD, and hear; open your eyes, O LORD, and see; listen to the words Sennacherib has sent to insult the living God. LORD, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God. |

여호와여 앗수르 列王(열왕)이 果然(과연) 列邦(열방)과 그 땅을 荒廢(황폐)케 하고
It is true, O LORD, that the Assyrian kings have laid waste these nations and their lands. Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, |

또 그 神(신)들을 불에 던졌사오니 이는 저희가 神(신)이 아니요 ㅐ사람의 손으로 지은 것 곧 나무와 돌 뿐이므로 滅(멸)하였나이다
They have thrown their gods into the fire and destroyed them, for they were not gods but only wood and stone, fashioned by men's hands. And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them. |

우리 하나님 여호와여 願(원)컨대 이제 우리를 그 손에서 救援(구원)하옵소서 그리하시면 ㄱ天下(천하) 萬國(만국)이 主(주) 여호와는 홀로 하나님이신줄 알리이다 하니라
Now, O LORD our God, deliver us from his hand, so that all kingdoms on earth may know that you alone, O LORD, are God." Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only. |

● 아모스의 아들 이사야가 히스기야에게 奇別(기별)하여 가로되 이스라엘 하나님 여호와의 말씀이 네가 앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립 까닭에 내게 祈禱(기도)하는 것을 ㄴ내가
들었노라 하셨나이다

Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent a message to Hezekiah: "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I have heard your prayer concerning Sennacherib king of Assyria. Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard. |

여호와께서 앗수르 王(왕)에게 對(대)하여 이같이 말씀하시기를 ㄷ處女(처녀) 딸 시온이 너를 蔑視(멸시)하며 너를 비웃었으며 딸 예루살렘이 너를 向(향)하여 ㄹ머리를
흔들었느니라
This is the word that the LORD has spoken against him: "'The Virgin Daughter of Zion despises you and mocks you. The Daughter of Jerusalem tosses her head as you flee. This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee. |

네가 ㅁ누구를 ㅂ꾸짖었으며 毁謗(훼방)하였느냐 누구를 向(향)하여 소리를 높였으며 눈을 높이 떴느냐 ㅅ이스라엘의 거룩한
者(자)에게 그리하였도다
Who is it you have insulted and blasphemed? Against whom have you raised your voice and lifted your eyes in pride? Against the Holy One of Israel! Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel. |

ㅇ네가 使者(사자)로 主(주)를 毁謗(훼방)하여 이르기를 내가 ㅈ많은 兵車(병거)를 거느리고 여러 山(산)꼭대기에 올라가며
ㅊ레바논 깊은 곳에 이르러 높은 柏香木(백향목)과 아름다운 잣나무를 베고 내가 그 地境(지경) 끝에
들어가며 그 동산의 ㅋ茂盛(무성)한 수풀에 이르리라
By your messengers you have heaped insults on the Lord. And you have said, "With my many chariots I have ascended the heights of the mountains, the utmost heights of Lebanon. I have cut down its tallest cedars, the choicest of its pines. I have reached its remotest parts, the finest of its forests. By thy messengers thou hast reproached the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel. |

내가 땅을 파서 異邦(이방)의 물을 마셨고 나의 발바닥으로 ㅌ애굽의 모든 河水(하수)를
말렸노라 하였도다

네가 듣지 못하였느냐 ㅍ이 일은 내가 太初(태초)부터 行(행)하였고 上告(상고)부터 定(정)한 바라 ㅎ이제 내가 이루어 너로 堅固(견고)한 城(성)들을 滅(멸)하여
돌무더기가 되게 함이니라
'Have you not heard? Long ago I ordained it. In days of old I planned it; now I have brought it to pass, that you have turned fortified cities into piles of stone. Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps. |

그러므로 그 居(거)한 百姓(백성)의 힘이 弱(약)하여 두려워하며 놀랐나니 저희는 ㅏ마치 들의 풀 같고 나물 같고 지붕의 풀 같고 자라기 前(전)에 마른 穀草(곡초)같으니라

Their people, drained of power, are dismayed and put to shame. They are like plants in the field, like tender green shoots, like grass sprouting on the roof, scorched before it grows up. 네 居處(거처)와 ㅑ네 出入(출입)과 네가 내게 向(향)한 忿怒(분노)를 내가 다 아노니

네가 내게 向(향)한 忿怒(분노)와 네 驕慢(교만)한 말이 내 귀에 들렸도다 그러므로 내가 ㅓ갈고리로 네 코에 꿰고 자갈을 네 입에 먹여 ㅕ너를 오던 길로 끌어
돌이키리라 하셨나이다
Because you rage against me and your insolence has reached my ears, I will put my hook in your nose and my bit in your mouth, and I will make you return by the way you came.' Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest. |

● 또 ㅗ네게 보일 徵兆(징조)가 이러하니 너희가 今年(금년)에는 스스로 자라난 것을 먹고 明年(명년)에는
그것에서 난 것을 먹되 第(제) 三年(삼년)에는 심고 거두며 葡萄園(포도원)을 심고 그 열매를 먹으리라
This will be the sign for you, O Hezekiah: This year you will eat what grows by itself, and the second year what springs from that. But in the third year sow and reap, plant vineyards and eat their fruit. And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof. |
30 |
ㅛ유다 族屬(족속)의 避(피)하고 남은 者(자)는 다시 아래로 뿌리가 서리고 위로 열매를 맺을찌라
Once more a remnant of the house of Judah will take root below and bear fruit above. And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward. |

남은 者(자)는 예루살렘에서부터 나올 것이요 ㅜ避(피)하는 者(자)는 시온山(산)에서부터 나오리니 ㅠ여호와의 熱心(열심)이 이 일을 이루리라 하셨나이다
For out of Jerusalem will come a remnant, and out of Mount Zion a band of survivors. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this. For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this. |

그러므로 여호와께서 앗수르 王(왕)을 가리켜 이르시기를 저가 이 城(성)에 이르지 못하며 이리로 살을 쏘지 못하며
防牌(방패)를 城(성)을 向(향)하여 세우지 못하며 치려고 으土城(토성)을 쌓지도 못하고

Therefore this is what the LORD says concerning the king of Assyria: He will not enter this city or shoot an arrow here. He will not come before it with shield or build a siege ramp against it. Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it. |

이오던 길로 돌아가고 이 城(성)에 이르지 못하리라 하셨으니 이는 여호와의 말씀이시라

By the way that he came he will return; he will not enter this city, declares the LORD. By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD. |

ㅐ내가 나와 ㄱ나의 종 다윗을 爲(위)하여 이 城(성)을 保護(보호)하여 救援(구원)하리라 하셨나이다 하였더라
I will defend this city and save it, for my sake and for the sake of David my servant." For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake. |

● 이 밤에 ㄴ여호와의 使者(사자)가 나와서 앗수르 陣(진)에서 軍士(군사) 十(십) 八萬(팔만) 五千(오천)을 친지라 아침에 일찌기 일어나 보니 다 송장이 되었더라
That night the angel of the LORD went out and put to death a hundred and eighty-five thousand men in the Assyrian camp. When the people got up the next morning--there were all the dead bodies! And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. |

앗수르 王(왕) 산헤립이 떠나 돌아가서 ㄷ니느웨에 居(거)하더니
So Sennacherib king of Assyria broke camp and withdrew. He returned to Nineveh and stayed there. So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh. |

그 神(신) 니스록의 廟(묘)에 敬拜(경배)할 때에 ㄹ아드람멜렉과 사레셀이 저를 칼로 쳐죽이고 ㅁ아라랏 땅으로 逃亡(도망)하매 그 아들
ㅂ에살핫돈이 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니라
One day, while he was worshiping in the temple of his god Nisroch, his sons Adrammelech and Sharezer cut him down with the sword, and they escaped to the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son succeeded him as king. And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead. |
