ㄹ사랑하는 아들 디모데에게 便紙(편지)하노니 ㅁ하나님 아버지와 그리스도 예수 우리 主(주)께로부터 恩惠(은혜)와 矜恤(긍휼)과 平康(평강)이 네게 있을찌어다
To Timothy, my dear son: Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

● ㅂ나의 밤낮 懇求(간구)하는 가운데 쉬지 않고 너를 생각하여 ㅅ淸潔(청결)한 良心(양심)으로 祖上(조상)적부터 ㅇ섬겨 오는 하나님께
ㅈ感謝(감사)하고
I thank God, whom I serve, as my forefathers did, with a clear conscience, as night and day I constantly
remember you in my prayers.

ㅊ네 눈물을 생각하여 ㅋ너 보기를 願(원)함은 내 기쁨이 가득하게 하려 함이니
Recalling your tears, I long to see you, so that I may be filled with joy.

이는 ㅌ네 속에 거짓이 없는 믿음을 생각함이라 이 믿음은 먼저 네
外祖母(외조모) 로이스와 ㅍ네 어머니 유니게 속에 있더니 네 속에도 있는 줄을 確信(확신)하노라
I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother
Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.

그러므로 내가 ㅎ나의 按手(안수)함으로 네 속에 있는 하나님의 恩賜(은사)를 다시 불일듯 하게 하기 爲(위)하여 너로 생각하게 하노니
For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my
hands.

하나님이 우리에게 주신 것은 ㅏ두려워하는 마음이 아니요 오직 ㅑ能力(능력)과 사랑과 謹愼(근신)하는 마음이니
For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

그러므로 네가 ㅓ우리 主(주)의 證據(증거)와 또는 ㅕ主(주)를 爲(위)하여 갇힌 者(자) 된 나를 ㅗ부끄러워 말고 오직 하나님의 能力(능력)을
좇아 福音(복음)과 함께 ㅛ苦難(고난)을 받으라
So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering
for the gospel, by the power of God,

ㅜ하나님이 우리를 救援(구원)하사 거룩하신 부르심으로 ㅠ부르심은 우리의 行爲(행위)대로 으하심이 아니요 오직 自己(자기) 뜻과
이永遠(영원)한 때 前(전)부터 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리에게 주신 恩惠(은혜)대로 하심이라
who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own
purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time,

이제는 ㅐ우리 救主(구주) 그리스도 예수의 나타나심으로 말미암아 ㄱ나타났으니 ㄴ저는 死亡(사망)을 廢(폐)하시고 福音(복음)으로써 ㄷ生命(생명)과
ㄹ썩지 아니할 것을 드러내신지라
but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and
has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.

내가 이 福音(복음)을 爲(위)하여 ㅁ頒布者(반포자)와 使徒(사도)와 敎師(교사)로 세우심을 입었노라

And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher.

ㅂ이를 因(인)하여 내가 또 이 苦難(고난)을 받되 ㅅ부끄러워하지 아니함은 ㅇ나의 依賴(의뢰)한 者(자)를 내가 알고 또한 ㅈ나의 依託(의탁)한 것을 ㅊ그 날까지 저가 能(능)히 지키실 줄을 確信(확신)함이라
That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am
convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.

너는 ㅋ그리스도 예수 안에 있는 믿음과 사랑으로써
ㅌ내게 들은 바 1)ㅍ바른 말을 ㅎ本(본)받아 ㅏ지키고
What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

ㅑ우리 안에 居(거)하시는 聖靈(성령)으로
말미암아 네게 付託(부탁)한 아름다운 것을 지키라

Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you--guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.

● ㅓ아시아에 있는 모든 사람이 나를 버린 이 일을 네가 아나니 그 中(중)에 부겔로와 허모게네가 있느니라
You know that everyone in the province of Asia has deserted me, including Phygelus and Hermogenes.

願(원)컨대 主(주)께서 ㅕ오네시보로의 집에 矜恤(긍휼)을 베푸시옵소서 저가 나를 자주 ㅗ愉快(유쾌)케 하고
ㅛ나의 사슬에 매인 것을 부끄러워 아니하여
May the Lord show mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, because he often refreshed me and was not ashamed
of my chains.

| 17 |
로마에 있을 때에 ㅜ나를 부지런히 찾아 만났느니라
On the contrary, when he was in Rome, he searched hard for me until he found me.

願(원)컨대 主(주)께서 저로 하여금 ㅠ그 날에 主(주)의 矜恤(긍휼)을 얻게 하여 주옵소서 또 저가 에베소에서 얼마큼 으나를 섬긴 것을 네가 잘 아느니라
May the Lord grant that he will find mercy from the Lord on that day! You know very well in how many ways he
helped me in Ephesus.
