When the whole nation had finished crossing the Jordan, the LORD said to Joshua, And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over Jordan, that the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying, |

Choose twelve men from among the people, one from each tribe, Take you twelve men out of the people, out of every tribe a man, |

그들에게 命(명)하여 이르기를 요단 가운데 이祭司長(제사장)들의 발이 굳게 선 그곳에서 ㅐ돌 열 둘을 取(취)하고 그것을 가져다가 ㄱ오늘밤
너희의 留宿(유숙)할 그곳에 두라 하라
and tell them to take up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan from right where the priests stood and to carry them over with you and put them down at the place where you stay tonight." And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the priests' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night. |

여호수아가 이스라엘 子孫(자손) 中(중)에서 每(매) 支派(지파)에 한 사람씩 豫備(예비)한 그 열 두 사람을 불러서
So Joshua called together the twelve men he had appointed from the Israelites, one from each tribe, Then Joshua called the twelve men, whom he had prepared of the children of Israel, out of every tribe a man: |

그들에게 이르되 요단 가운데 너희 하나님 여호와의 櫃(궤) 앞으로 들어가서 이스라엘 子孫(자손)들의 支派(지파) 數(수)대로 各其(각기) 돌 한개씩 取(취)하여 어깨에 메라
and said to them, "Go over before the ark of the LORD your God into the middle of the Jordan. Each of you is to take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, And Joshua said unto them, Pass over before the ark of the LORD your God into the midst of Jordan, and take ye up every man of you a stone upon his shoulder, according unto the number of the tribes of the children of Israel: |

이것이 너희 中(중)에 表徵(표징)이 되리라 ㄴ後日(후일)에 너희 子孫(자손)이 물어 가로되 이 돌들은 무슨 뜻이뇨 하거든
to serve as a sign among you. In the future, when your children ask you, 'What do these stones mean?' That this may be a sign among you, that when your children ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean ye by these stones? |

그들에게 이르기를 ㄷ요단 물이 여호와의 言約櫃(언약궤) 앞에서 끊어졌었나니 곧 言約櫃(언약궤)가 요단을 건널 때에 요단 물이 끊어졌으므로 이 돌들이 ㄹ이스라엘
子孫(자손)에게 永永(영영)한 記念(기념)이 되리라 하라
tell them that the flow of the Jordan was cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones are to be a memorial to the people of Israel forever." Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever. |

이스라엘 子孫(자손)들이 여호수아의 命(명)한 대로 行(행)하되 여호와께서 여호수아에게 이르신 대로 이스라엘 子孫(자손)들의 支派(지파) 數(수)를 따라 요단 가운데서 돌 열 둘을 取(취)하여
自己(자기)들의 留宿(유숙)할 곳으로 가져다가 거기 두었더라
So the Israelites did as Joshua commanded them. They took twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, according to the number of the tribes of the Israelites, as the LORD had told Joshua; and they carried them over with them to their camp, where they put them down. And the children of Israel did so as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the midst of Jordan, as the LORD spake unto Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, and carried them over with them unto the place where they lodged, and laid them down there. |

여호수아가 또 요단 가운데 곧 ㅁ言約櫃(언약궤)를 멘 祭司長(제사장)들의 발이 선 곳에 돌 열 둘을 세웠더니 오늘까지 거기 있더라

Joshua set up the twelve stones that had been in the middle of the Jordan at the spot where the priests who carried the ark of the covenant had stood. And they are there to this day. And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day. |

櫃(궤)를 멘 祭司長(제사장)들이 여호와께서 여호수아에게 命(명)하사 百姓(백성)에게 이르게 하신 일 곧 모세가 여호수아에게 命(명)한 일이 다 마치기까지 요단 가운데 섰고 百姓(백성)은 速(속)히
건넜으며
Now the priests who carried the ark remained standing in the middle of the Jordan until everything the LORD had commanded Joshua was done by the people, just as Moses had directed Joshua. The people hurried over, For the priests which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until every thing was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over. |

모든 百姓(백성)이 건너기를 마친 後(후)에 여호와의 櫃(궤)와 祭司長(제사장)들이 百姓(백성)의 目前(목전)에서
건넜으며
and as soon as all of them had crossed, the ark of the LORD and the priests came to the other side while the people watched. And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the priests, in the presence of the people. |

르우벤 子孫(자손)과 갓 子孫(자손)과 므낫세 半(반) 支派(지파)는 모세가 그들에게 이른 것 같이 武裝(무장)하고 ㅂ이스라엘 子孫(자손)들보다 앞서 건너갔으니
The men of Reuben, Gad and the half-tribe of Manasseh crossed over, armed, in front of the Israelites, as Moses had directed them. And the children of Reuben, and the children of Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, passed over armed before the children of Israel, as Moses spake unto them: |
13 |
四萬名(사만명) 假量(가량)이라 武裝(무장)하고 여호와 앞에서 건너가서 싸우려고 여리고 平地(평지)에 이르니라
About forty thousand armed for battle crossed over before the LORD to the plains of Jericho for war. About forty thousand prepared for war passed over before the LORD unto battle, to the plains of Jericho. |

그 날에 여호와께서 모든 이스라엘의 目前(목전)에서 ㅅ여호수아를 크게 하시매 그의 生存(생존)한 날 동안에 百姓(백성)이 두려워하기를 모세를 두려워하던 것같이 하였더라

That day the LORD exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they revered him all the days of his life, just as they had revered Moses. On that day the LORD magnified Joshua in the sight of all Israel; and they feared him, as they feared Moses, all the days of his life. |

● 여호와께서 여호수아에게 일러 가라사대
Then the LORD said to Joshua, And the LORD spake unto Joshua, saying, |
16 |
ㅇ證據櫃(증거궤)를 멘 祭司長(제사장)들을 命(명)하여 요단에서 올라오게 하라 하신지라
Command the priests carrying the ark of the Testimony to come up out of the Jordan. Command the priests that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan. |

여호수아가 祭司長(제사장)들에게 命(명)하여 요단에서 올라오라 하매
So Joshua commanded the priests, "Come up out of the Jordan." Joshua therefore commanded the priests, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan. |
18 |
여호와의 言約櫃(언약궤)를 멘 祭司長(제사장)들이 요단 가운데서 나오며 그 발바닥으로 陸地(육지)를 밟는 同時(동시)에 요단 물이 本(본) 곳으로
도로 흘러 ㅈ如前(여전)히 언덕에 넘쳤더라

And the priests came up out of the river carrying the ark of the covenant of the LORD. No sooner had they set their feet on the dry ground than the waters of the Jordan returned to their place and ran at flood stage as before. And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before. |

● 正月(정월) 十日(십일)에 百姓(백성)이 요단에서 올라와서 여리고 東便(동편) 地境(지경) ㅊ길갈에 陣(진) 치매

On the tenth day of the first month the people went up from the Jordan and camped at Gilgal on the eastern border of Jericho. And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho. |
20 |
여호수아가 그 요단에서 가져온 ㅋ열 두 돌을 길갈에 세우고
And Joshua set up at Gilgal the twelve stones they had taken out of the Jordan. And those twelve stones, which they took out of Jordan, did Joshua pitch in Gilgal. |
21 |
이스라엘 子孫(자손)들에게 일러 가로되 後日(후일)에 ㅌ너희 子孫(자손)이 그 아비에게 묻기를 이 돌은 무슨 뜻이냐 하거든

He said to the Israelites, "In the future when your descendants ask their fathers, 'What do these stones mean?' And he spake unto the children of Israel, saying, When your children shall ask their fathers in time to come, saying, What mean these stones? |
22 |
너희는 子孫(자손)에게 알게 하여 이르기를 ㅍ이스라엘이 마른 땅을 밟고 이 요단을 건넜음이라

tell them, 'Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground.' Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry land. |
23 |
너희 하나님 여호와께서 요단 물을 너희 앞에 마르게 하사 너희로 건너게 하신 것이 너희 하나님 여호와께서 우리 앞에 ㅎ紅海(홍해)를 말리시고 우리로 건너게 하심과 같았나니
For the LORD your God dried up the Jordan before you until you had crossed over. The LORD your God did to the Jordan just what he had done to the Red Sea when he dried it up before us until we had crossed over. For the LORD your God dried up the waters of Jordan from before you, until ye were passed over, as the LORD your God did to the Red sea, which he dried up from before us, until we were gone over: |
24 |
ㅏ이는 땅의 모든 百姓(백성)으로 ㅑ여호와의 손이 能(능)하심을 알게 하며 너희로 ㅓ너희 하나님 여호와를 永遠(영원)토록 敬畏(경외)하게 하려 하심이라 하라
He did this so that all the peoples of the earth might know that the hand of the LORD is powerful and so that you might always fear the LORD your God." That all the people of the earth might know the hand of the LORD, that it is mighty: that ye might fear the LORD your God for ever. |
