ㄹ永生(영생)의 所望(소망)을 因(인)함이라 이 永生(영생)은 ㅁ거짓이 없으신 하나님이 ㅂ永遠(영원)한 때 前(전)부터 ㅅ約束(약속)하신
것인데
a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before the beginning of time, In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began; |

ㅇ自己(자기) 때에 ㅈ自己(자기)의 말씀을 傳道(전도)로 나타나셨으니 이 傳道(전도)는
ㅊ우리 救主(구주) 하나님의 命(명)대로 ㅋ내게 맡기신 것이라
and at his appointed season he brought his word to light through the preaching entrusted to me by the command of God our Savior, But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour; |

ㅌ같은 믿음을 따라 된
ㅍ나의 참 아들 디도에게 便紙(편지)하노니 ㅎ하나님 아버지와 그리스도 예수 우리 救主(구주)로 좇아 恩惠(은혜)와 平康(평강)이 네게 있을찌어다
To Titus, my true son in our common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior. To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour. |

● 내가 너를 그레데에 떨어뜨려둔 理由(이유)는 ㅏ不足(부족)한 일을 바로잡고 나의 命(명)한 대로 各(각) 城(성)에 ㅑ長老(장로)들을 세우게 하려 함이니
The reason I left you in Crete was that you might straighten out what was left unfinished and appoint elders in every town, as I directed you. For this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: |

ㅓ責望(책망)할 것이 없고 한 아내의 男便(남편)이며 ㅕ放蕩(방탕)하다 하는 誹謗(비방)이나 不順從(불순종)하는 일이 없는 믿는 子女(자녀)를 둔 者(자)라야 할찌라
An elder must be blameless, the husband of but one wife, a man whose children believe and are not open to the charge of being wild and disobedient. If any be blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children not accused of riot or unruly. |

監督(감독)은 ㅗ하나님의 청지기로서 責望(책망)할 것이 없고 ㅛ제 固執(고집)대로 하지 아니하며 急(급)히 憤(분)내지 아니하며 술을 즐기지 아니하며 毆打(구타)하지
아니하며 ㅜ더러운 利(이)를 貪(탐)하지 아니하며
Since an overseer is entrusted with God's work, he must be blameless--not overbearing, not quick-tempered, not given to drunkenness, not violent, not pursuing dishonest gain. For a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; |

으미쁜 말씀의 가르침을 그대로 지켜야 하리니 이는 能(능)히
1)이바른 敎訓(교훈)으로 勸勉(권면)하고 거스려 말하는 者(자)들을 責望(책망)하게 하려 함이라
He must hold firmly to the trustworthy message as it has been taught, so that he can encourage others by sound doctrine and refute those who oppose it. Holding fast the faithful word as he hath been taught, that he may be able by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. |

● 服從(복종)치 아니하고 ㅐ헛된 말을 하며 속이는 者(자)가 많은 中(중) 特別(특별)히 ㄱ割禮黨(할례당) 가운데 甚(심)하니
For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision group. For there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: |

저희의 입을 막을 것이라 ㄴ이런 者(자)들이 ㄷ더러운 利(이)를
取(취)하려고 마땅치 아니한 것을 가르쳐 집들을 온통 엎드러치는도다
They must be silenced, because they are ruining whole households by teaching things they ought not to teach--and that for the sake of dishonest gain. Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for filthy lucre's sake. |

그레데人(인) 中(중)에 ㄹ어떤 先知者(선지자)가 말하되 그레데人(인)들은 恒常(항상) 거짓말장이며 惡(악)한 짐승이며 배만 爲(위)하는 게으름장이라 하니

유대人(인)의 虛誕(허탄)한 이야기와 ㅇ眞理(진리)를 背叛(배반)하는 사람들의
ㅈ命令(명령)을 ㅊ좇지 않게 하려 함이라
and will pay no attention to Jewish myths or to the commands of those who reject the truth. Not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men, that turn from the truth. |

ㅋ깨끗한 者(자)들에게는 모든 것이 깨끗하나 더럽고 ㅌ믿지 아니하는 者(자)들에게는 아무 것도 깨끗한 것이 없고 오직 ㅍ저희 마음과 良心(양심)이
더러운지라
To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. |

ㅎ저희가 하나님을 是認(시인)하나 行爲(행위)로는 ㅏ否認(부인)하니 可憎(가증)한
者(자)요 服從(복종)치 아니하는 者(자)요 ㅑ모든 善(선)한 일을 버리는 者(자)니라
They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good. They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. |
