The LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting. He said,

And the LORD called unto Moses, and spake unto him out of the tabernacle of the congregation, saying,

Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When any of you brings an offering to the LORD, bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.

Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, If any man of you bring an offering unto the LORD, ye shall bring your offering of the cattle, even of the herd, and of the flock.

'If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to offer a male without defect. He must present it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting so that it will be acceptable to the LORD.

If his offering be a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish: he shall offer it of his own voluntary will at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the LORD.

He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him.

And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering; and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

He is to wash the inner parts and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.

He is to remove the crop with its contents and throw it to the east side of the altar, where the ashes are.

And he shall pluck away his crop with his feathers, and cast it beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes:
