으아닥사스다 王(왕) 이二十年(이십년) 니산月(월)에 王(왕)의 앞에 술이 있기로 ㅐ내가 들어 王(왕)에게 드렸는데
以前(이전)에는 내가 王(왕)의 앞에서 愁色(수색)이 없었더니
In the month of Nisan in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was brought for him, I took the wine and gave it to the king. I had not been sad in his presence before; And it came to pass in the month Nisan, in the twentieth year of Artaxerxes the king, that wine was before him: and I took up the wine, and gave it unto the king. Now I had not been beforetime sad in his presence. |

王(왕)이 내게 이르시되 네가 病(병)이 없거늘 어찌하여 얼굴에 愁色(수색)이 있느냐 이는 必然(필연) 네 ㄱ마음에 근심이 있음이로다 그 때에 내가 크게 두려워하여

王(왕)께 對答(대답)하되 ㄴ王(왕)은 萬歲壽(만세수)를 하옵소서 ㄷ나의 列祖(열조)의 墓室(묘실) 있는 城邑(성읍)이 이제까지 荒蕪(황무)하고 城門(성문)이
燒火(소화)되었사오니 내가 어찌 얼굴에 愁色(수색)이 없사오리이까
but I said to the king, "May the king live forever! Why should my face not look sad when the city where my fathers are buried lies in ruins, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?" And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire? |

王(왕)이 내게 이르시되 그러면 네가 무엇을 願(원)하느냐 하시기로 내가 곧 ㄹ하늘의 하나님께 默禱(묵도)하고
The king said to me, "What is it you want?" Then I prayed to the God of heaven, Then the king said unto me, For what dost thou make request? So I prayed to the God of heaven. |

王(왕)에게 告(고)하되 王(왕)이 萬一(만일) 즐겨하시고 종이 王(왕)의 目前(목전)에서 恩惠(은혜)를 얻었사오면 나를 유다 땅 나의 列祖(열조)의 墓室(묘실) 있는 城邑(성읍)에 보내어 그
城(성)을 重建(중건)하게 하옵소서 하였는데
and I answered the king, "If it pleases the king and if your servant has found favor in his sight, let him send me to the city in Judah where my fathers are buried so that I can rebuild it." And I said unto the king, If it please the king, and if thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it. |

그 때에 ㅁ王后(왕후)도 王(왕)의 곁에 앉았더라 王(왕)이 내게 이르시되 네가 몇날에 行(행)할 길이며 어느 때에 돌아오겠느냐 하고 王(왕)이 나를 보내기를 즐겨하시기로
ㅂ내가 期限(기한)을 定(정)하고
Then the king, with the queen sitting beside him, asked me, "How long will your journey take, and when will you get back?" It pleased the king to send me; so I set a time. And the king said unto me, (the queen also sitting by him,) For how long shall thy journey be? and when wilt thou return? So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time. |

내가 또 王(왕)에게 아뢰되 王(왕)이 萬一(만일) 즐겨하시거든 ㅅ江(강) 西便(서편) 總督(총독)들에게 내리시는 詔書(조서)를 내게 주사 저희로 나를 容納(용납)하여 유다까지 通過(통과)하게 하시고

I also said to him, "If it pleases the king, may I have letters to the governors of Trans-Euphrates, so that they will provide me safe-conduct until I arrive in Judah? Moreover I said unto the king, If it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah; |

또 王(왕)의 ㅇ森林(삼림) 監督(감독) 아삽에게 詔書(조서)를 내리사 저로 ㅈ殿(전)에 屬(속)한 營門(영문)의
門(문)과 城郭(성곽)과 나의 居(거)할 집을 爲(위)하여 들보 材木(재목)을 주게 하옵소서 하매 ㅊ내 하나님의 善(선)한 손이 나를
도우심으로 王(왕)이 許諾(허락)하고
And may I have a letter to Asaph, keeper of the king's forest, so he will give me timber to make beams for the gates of the citadel by the temple and for the city wall and for the residence I will occupy?" And because the gracious hand of my God was upon me, the king granted my requests. And a letter unto Asaph the keeper of the king's forest, that he may give me timber to make beams for the gates of the palace which appertained to the house, and for the wall of the city, and for the house that I shall enter into. And the king granted me, according to the good hand of my God upon me. |

軍隊(군대) 長官(장관)과 馬兵(마병)을 보내어 나와 함께 하시기로 내가 江(강) 西便(서편)에 있는 總督(총독)들에게 이르러 王(왕)의 詔書(조서)를 傳(전)하였더니
So I went to the governors of Trans-Euphrates and gave them the king's letters. The king had also sent army officers and cavalry with me. Then I came to the governors beyond the river, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent captains of the army and horsemen with me. |

호론 사람 ㅋ산발랏과 종 되었던 암몬 사람 ㅌ도비야가 이스라엘 子孫(자손)을 興旺(흥왕)케 하려는 사람이 왔다 함을 듣고 甚(심)히 근심하더라
When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard about this, they were very much disturbed that someone had come to promote the welfare of the Israelites. When Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, heard of it, it grieved them exceedingly that there was come a man to seek the welfare of the children of Israel. |

I went to Jerusalem, and after staying there three days So I came to Jerusalem, and was there three days. |

내 하나님이 내 마음을 感化(감화)하사 예루살렘을 爲(위)하여 行(행)하게 하신 일을 내가 아무 사람에게도 말하지 아니하고 밤에 일어나 두어 사람과 함께 나갈새 내가 탄 짐승 外(외)에는 다른 짐승이
없더라
I set out during the night with a few men. I had not told anyone what my God had put in my heart to do for Jerusalem. There were no mounts with me except the one I was riding on. And I arose in the night, I and some few men with me; neither told I any man what my God had put in my heart to do at Jerusalem: neither was there any beast with me, save the beast that I rode upon. |

그 밤에 ㅎ골짜기 門(문)으로 나가서 龍井(용정)으로 ㅏ糞門(분문)에 이르는 동안에 보니 예루살렘 城壁(성벽)이 다 ㅑ무너졌고
ㅓ城門(성문)은 燒火(소화)되었더라
By night I went out through the Valley Gate toward the Jackal Well and the Dung Gate, examining the walls of Jerusalem, which had been broken down, and its gates, which had been destroyed by fire. And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Jerusalem, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire. |

앞으로 行(행)하여 ㅕ샘門(문)과 ㅗ王(왕)의 못에 이르러는 탄 짐승이 지나갈 곳이 없는지라
Then I moved on toward the Fountain Gate and the King's Pool, but there was not enough room for my mount to get through; Then I went on to the gate of the fountain, and to the king's pool: but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass. |

그 밤에 ㅛ시내를 좇아 올라가서 城壁(성벽)을 살펴본 後(후)에 돌이켜 골짜기 門(문)으로 들어와서 돌아 왔으나

so I went up the valley by night, examining the wall. Finally, I turned back and reentered through the Valley Gate. Then went I up in the night by the brook, and viewed the wall, and turned back, and entered by the gate of the valley, and so returned. |

方伯(방백)들은 내가 어디 갔었으며 무엇을 하였는지 알지 못하였고 나도 그 일을 유다 사람들에게나 祭司長(제사장)들에게나 貴人(귀인)들에게나 方伯(방백)들에게나 그 外(외)에 일하는 者(자)들에게 告(고)하지 아니하다가
The officials did not know where I had gone or what I was doing, because as yet I had said nothing to the Jews or the priests or nobles or officials or any others who would be doing the work. And the rulers knew not whither I went, or what I did; neither had I as yet told it to the Jews, nor to the priests, nor to the nobles, nor to the rulers, nor to the rest that did the work. |

後(후)에 저희에게 이르기를 우리의 當(당)한 困境(곤경)은 너희도 目覩(목도)하는바라 ㅜ예루살렘이 荒蕪(황무)하고 城門(성문)이 燒火(소화)되었으니 자, 예루살렘 城(성)을 重建(중건)하여 다시 ㅠ羞恥(수치)를 받지 말자 하고
Then I said to them, "You see the trouble we are in: Jerusalem lies in ruins, and its gates have been burned with fire. Come, let us rebuild the wall of Jerusalem, and we will no longer be in disgrace." Then said I unto them, Ye see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lieth waste, and the gates thereof are burned with fire: come, and let us build up the wall of Jerusalem, that we be no more a reproach. |

또 저희에게 으하나님의 善(선)한 손이 나를 도우신 일과 王(왕)이 내게 이른 말씀을 告(고)하였더니 저희의 말이 일어나
建築(건축)하자 하고 모두 힘을 내어 이이 善(선)한 일을 하려 하매
I also told them about the gracious hand of my God upon me and what the king had said to me. They replied, "Let us start rebuilding." So they began this good work. Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; as also the king's words that he had spoken unto me. And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work. |

호론 사람 산발랏과 종이 되었던 암몬 사람 도비야와 아라비아 사람 ㅐ게셈이 이 말을 듣고 ㄱ우리를 업신여기고 비웃어 가로되 너희의 하는 일이 무엇이냐
ㄴ王(왕)을 背叛(배반)코자 하느냐 하기로
But when Sanballat the Horonite, Tobiah the Ammonite official and Geshem the Arab heard about it, they mocked and ridiculed us. "What is this you are doing?" they asked. "Are you rebelling against the king?" But when Sanballat the Horonite, and Tobiah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arabian, heard it, they laughed us to scorn, and despised us, and said, What is this thing that ye do? will ye rebel against the king? |

내가 對答(대답)하여 가로되 ㄷ하늘의 하나님이 우리로
亨通(형통)케 하시리니 그의 종 우리가 일어나 建築(건축)하려니와 오직 너희는 예루살렘에서 아무 基業(기업)도 없고
權利(권리)도 없고 名錄(명록)도 없다 하였느니라

I answered them by saying, "The God of heaven will give us success. We his servants will start rebuilding, but as for you, you have no share in Jerusalem or any claim or historic right to it." Then answered I them, and said unto them, The God of heaven, he will prosper us; therefore we his servants will arise and build: but ye have no portion, nor right, nor memorial, in Jerusalem. |
