ㅑ이스라엘의 어렸을 때에 ㅓ내가 사랑하여 ㅕ내 아들을 애굽에서 ㅗ불러내었거늘
When Israel was a child, I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son. When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt. |

ㅛ先知者(선지자)들이 저희를 부를수록 저희가 漸漸(점점) 멀리하고 ㅜ바알들에게 祭祀(제사)하며 아로새긴 偶像(우상) 앞에서 焚香(분향)하였느니라
But the more I called Israel, the further they went from me. They sacrificed to the Baals and they burned incense to images. As they called them, so they went from them: they sacrificed unto Baalim, and burned incense to graven images. |

그러나 ㅠ내가 에브라임에게 걸음을 가르치고 내 팔로 안을찌라도 으내가 저희를 고치는 줄을 저희가 알지 못하였도다
It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them. I taught Ephraim also to go, taking them by their arms; but they knew not that I healed them. |

이내가 사람의 줄 곧 사랑의 줄로 저희를 이끌었고 ㅐ저희에게 對(대)하여 그 목에서 멍에를 벗기는 者(자)같이 되었으며 ㄱ저희 앞에서 먹을 것을
두었었노라
I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke from their neck and bent down to feed them. I drew them with cords of a man, with bands of love: and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I laid meat unto them. |

● ㄴ저희가 애굽 땅으로 다시 가지 못하겠거늘 ㄷ내게 돌아오기를 ㄹ싫어하니 ㅁ앗수르 사람이 그 임금이 될
것이라
Will they not return to Egypt and will not Assyria rule over them because they refuse to repent? He shall not return into the land of Egypt, but the Assyrian shall be his king, because they refused to return. |

ㅂ칼이 저희의 城邑(성읍)들을 치며 빗장을 깨뜨려 없이 하리니 ㅅ이는 저희의 計策(계책)을 因(인)함이니라
Swords will flash in their cities, will destroy the bars of their gates and put an end to their plans. And the sword shall abide on his cities, and shall consume his branches, and devour them, because of their own counsels. |

내 百姓(백성)이 決心(결심)하고 ㅇ내게서 물러가나니 비록 ㅈ저희를 불러 위에 계신 者(자)에게로 돌아오라 할찌라도 일어나는 者(자)가 하나도 없도다
My people are determined to turn from me. Even if they call to the Most High, he will by no means exalt them. And my people are bent to backsliding from me: though they called them to the most High, none at all would exalt him. |

● 에브라임이여 내가 어찌 너를 놓겠느냐 이스라엘이여 내가 어찌 너를 버리겠느냐 ㅊ내가 어찌 ㅋ아드마같이 놓겠느냐 어찌 너를 스보임같이 두겠느냐
ㅌ내 마음이 내 속에서 돌아서 나의 矜恤(긍휼)이 穩全(온전)히
불붙듯 하도다
How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I treat you like Admah? How can I make you like Zeboiim? My heart is changed within me; all my compassion is aroused. How shall I give thee up, Ephraim? how shall I deliver thee, Israel? how shall I make thee as Admah? how shall I set thee as Zeboim? mine heart is turned within me, my repentings are kindled together. |

내가 나의 猛烈(맹렬)한 震怒(진노)를 發(발)하지 아니하며 내가 다시는 에브라임을 滅(멸)하지 아니하리니 이는 내가 사람이 아니요 ㅍ하나님임이라 나는 ㅎ네 가운데
居(거)하는 거룩한 者(자)니 震怒(진노)함으로 네게 臨(임)하지 아니하리라
I will not carry out my fierce anger, nor will I turn and devastate Ephraim. For I am God, and not man--the Holy One among you. I will not come in wrath. I will not execute the fierceness of mine anger, I will not return to destroy Ephraim: for I am God, and not man; the Holy One in the midst of thee: and I will not enter into the city. |

ㅏ저희가 獅子(사자)처럼 소리를 發(발)하시는 여호와를 ㅑ좇을 것이라 여호와께서 소리를 發(발)하시면 子孫(자손)들이 ㅓ西便(서편)에서부터 떨며
오되
They will follow the LORD; he will roar like a lion. When he roars, his children will come trembling from the west. They shall walk after the LORD: he shall roar like a lion: when he shall roar, then the children shall tremble from the west. |

저희가 ㅕ애굽에서부터 새같이 ㅗ앗수르에서부터 ㅛ비둘기같이 떨며 오리니 내가 저희로 各(각) 집에 머물게 하리라 나
여호와의 말이니라
They will come trembling like birds from Egypt, like doves from Assyria. I will settle them in their homes," declares the LORD. They shall tremble as a bird out of Egypt, and as a dove out of the land of Assyria: and I will place them in their houses, saith the LORD. |

● ㅜ에브라임은 거짓으로, 이스라엘 族屬(족속)은 詭譎(궤휼)로 ㅠ나를 에워쌌고 으유다는 하나님 곧 信實(신실)하시고 거룩하신 者(자)에게 對(대)하여 定(정)함이 없도다
Ephraim has surrounded me with lies, the house of Israel with deceit. And Judah is unruly against God, even against the faithful Holy One. Ephraim compasseth me about with lies, and the house of Israel with deceit: but Judah yet ruleth with God, and is faithful with the saints. |
