1 암몬 子孫(자손)에 對(대)한 말씀이라 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 이스라엘이 無子(무자)하냐 相續者(상속자)가 없느냐 1)말감이 갓을 占領(점령)하며 그 百姓(백성)이 그 城邑(성읍)들에 居(거)함은 어찜이뇨

Concerning the Ammonites: This is what the LORD says: "Has Israel no sons? Has she no heirs? Why then has Molech taken possession of Gad? Why do his people live in its towns?

Concerning the Ammonites, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities?

2 그러므로 나 여호와가 말하노라 보라 날이 이르리니 내가 戰爭(전쟁) 소리로 암몬 子孫(자손)의 랍바에 들리게 할 것이라 랍바는 거친 무더기가 되겠고 그 2)村落(촌락)들은 불에 탈 것이며 그 때에 이스라엘은 自己(자기)를 占領(점령)하였던 者(자)를 占領(점령)하리라 여호와의 말이니라

But the days are coming," declares the LORD, "when I will sound the battle cry against Rabbah of the Ammonites; it will become a mound of ruins, and its surrounding villages will be set on fire. Then Israel will drive out those who drove her out," says the LORD.

Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the Ammonites; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD.

3 헤스본아 哀哭(애곡)할찌어다 아이가 荒廢(황폐)하였도다 너희 랍바의 딸들아 부르짖을찌어다 굵은 베를 감고 哀痛(애통)하며 울타리 가운데서 앞 뒤로 달릴찌어다 말감과 그 祭司長(제사장)들과 그 方伯(방백)들이 다 사로 잡혀 가리로다

Wail, O Heshbon, for Ai is destroyed! Cry out, O inhabitants of Rabbah! Put on sackcloth and mourn; rush here and there inside the walls, for Molech will go into exile, together with his priests and officials.

Howl, O Heshbon, for Ai is spoiled: cry, ye daughters of Rabbah, gird you with sackcloth; lament, and run to and fro by the hedges; for their king shall go into captivity, and his priests and his princes together.

4 墮落(타락)한 딸아 어찌하여 3)골짜기 곧 네 흐르는 골짜기로 자랑하느냐 네가 어찌하여 財物(재물)을 依賴(의뢰)하여 말하기를 누가 내게 오리요 하느냐
렘3:14 렘48:7     3) 골짜기를 자랑하느냐 골짜기는 흘러가나니 네가 어찌하여 재물을

Why do you boast of your valleys, boast of your valleys so fruitful? O unfaithful daughter, you trust in your riches and say, 'Who will attack me?'

Wherefore gloriest thou in the valleys, thy flowing valley, O backsliding daughter? that trusted in her treasures, saying, Who shall come unto me?

5 主(주) 萬軍(만군)의 여호와가 말하노라 보라 내가 두려움을 네 四方(사방)에서 네게 오게 하리니 너희 各(각) 사람이 쫓겨서 바로 나갈 것이요 逃亡(도망)하는 者(자)들을 모을 者(자)가 없으리라

I will bring terror on you from all those around you," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty. "Every one of you will be driven away, and no one will gather the fugitives.

Behold, I will bring a fear upon thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts, from all those that be about thee; and ye shall be driven out every man right forth; and none shall gather up him that wandereth.

6 그러나 그 後(후)에 내가 암몬 子孫(자손)의 捕虜(포로)로 돌아오게 하리라 여호와의 말이니라 하시니라

Yet afterward, I will restore the fortunes of the Ammonites, declares the LORD.

And afterward I will bring again the captivity of the children of Ammon, saith the LORD.

7 에돔에 對(대)한 말씀이라 萬軍(만군)의 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 데만에 다시는 智慧(지혜)가 없게 되었느냐 明哲(명철)한 者(자)에게 謀略(모략)이 끊어졌느냐 그들의 智慧(지혜)가 없어졌느냐

Concerning Edom: This is what the LORD Almighty says: "Is there no longer wisdom in Teman? Has counsel perished from the prudent? Has their wisdom decayed?

Concerning Edom, thus saith the LORD of hosts; Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?

8 드단 居民(거민)돌이켜 逃亡(도망)할찌어다 깊은데 숨을찌어다 내가 에서의 災難(재난)을 그에게 臨(임)하게 하여 그를 罰(벌)할 때가 이르게 하리로다

Turn and flee, hide in deep caves, you who live in Dedan, for I will bring disaster on Esau at the time I punish him.

Flee ye, turn back, dwell deep, O inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau upon him, the time that I will visit him.

9 葡萄(포도)를 거두는 者(자)들이 4)네게 이르면 若干(약간)의 열매도 남기지 아니하겠고 밤에 盜賊(도적)이 오면 그 慾心(욕심)이 차기까지 滅(멸)하느니라
옵1:5,6 삿8:2     4) 네게 이를지라도 약간의 열매를 남기지 아니하겠느냐 밤에 도적도 그 욕심이 차면 그치지 아니하겠느냐

If grape pickers came to you, would they not leave a few grapes? If thieves came during the night, would they not steal only as much as they wanted?

If grapegatherers come to thee, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, they will destroy till they have enough.

10 5)大抵(대저) 내가 에서로 赤身(적신)이 되게 하여 그 秘密(비밀)한 곳들이 드러나게 하였나니 그가 그 몸을 숨길 수 없을 것이라 그 子孫(자손)과 兄弟(형제)와 이웃이 滅亡(멸망)하였은즉 그가 없어졌느니라
말1:3 렘31:15 사17:14     5) 그러나

But I will strip Esau bare; I will uncover his hiding places, so that he cannot conceal himself. His children, relatives and neighbors will perish, and he will be no more.

But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not.

11 네 孤兒(고아)들을 남겨 두라 내가 그들을 살려 두리라 네 寡婦(과부)들은 나를 依支(의지)할 것이니라

Leave your orphans; I will protect their lives. Your widows too can trust in me."

Leave thy fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let thy widows trust in me.

12 나 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 보라 이 盞(잔)을 마시지 않을 者(자)도 마시지 않지 못하겠거늘 네가 刑罰(형벌)을 穩全(온전)히 免(면)하겠느냐 免(면)하지 못하고 반드시 마시리라

This is what the LORD says: "If those who do not deserve to drink the cup must drink it, why should you go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, but must drink it.

For thus saith the LORD; Behold, they whose judgment was not to drink of the cup have assuredly drunken; and art thou he that shall altogether go unpunished? thou shalt not go unpunished, but thou shalt surely drink of it.

13 여호와가 말하노라 내가 나로 盟誓(맹세)하노니 보스라가 놀램과 저줏거리가 될 것이요 그 모든 城邑(성읍)이 永永(영영)히 荒廢(황폐)하리라

I swear by myself," declares the LORD, "that Bozrah will become a ruin and an object of horror, of reproach and of cursing; and all its towns will be in ruins forever."

For I have sworn by myself, saith the LORD, that Bozrah shall become a desolation, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all the cities thereof shall be perpetual wastes.

14 내가 여호와에게서부터 오는 消息(소식)을 들었노라 使者(사자)列邦(열방) 中(중)에 보내어 이르시되 너희는 모여와서 그를 치며 일어나서 싸우라 하시도다

I have heard a message from the LORD: An envoy was sent to the nations to say, "Assemble yourselves to attack it! Rise up for battle!"

I have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent unto the heathen, saying, Gather ye together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.

15 여호와께서 가라사대 내가 너를 列邦(열방) 中(중)에 작게 하였고 사람들 中(중)에 蔑視(멸시)를 받게 하였느니라

Now I will make you small among the nations, despised among men.

For, lo, I will make thee small among the heathen, and despised among men.

16 바위 틈에 居(거)하며 山(산)꼭대기를 占領(점령)한 者(자)여 스스로 두려운 者(자)인 줄로 여김과 네 마음의 驕慢(교만)이 너를 속였도다 네가 독수리같이 보금자리를 높이 지었을찌라도 내가 거기서 너를 끌어 내리리라 여호와의 말이니라

The terror you inspire and the pride of your heart have deceived you, you who live in the clefts of the rocks, who occupy the heights of the hill. Though you build your nest as high as the eagle's, from there I will bring you down," declares the LORD.

Thy terribleness hath deceived thee, and the pride of thine heart, O thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, that holdest the height of the hill: though thou shouldest make thy nest as high as the eagle, I will bring thee down from thence, saith the LORD.

17 에돔이 놀라운 것이 되리니 그리로 지나는 者(자)마다 놀라며 그 모든 災殃(재앙)을 因(인)하여 비웃으리로다

Edom will become an object of horror; all who pass by will be appalled and will scoff because of all its wounds.

Also Edom shall be a desolation: every one that goeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all the plagues thereof.

18 나 여호와가 말하노라 소돔과 고모라와 그 이웃 城邑(성읍)들의 滅亡(멸망)된 것같이 거기 居(거)하는 사람이 없으며 그 中(중)에 寓居(우거)할 아무 人子(인자)가 없으리라

As Sodom and Gomorrah were overthrown, along with their neighboring towns," says the LORD, "so no one will live there; no man will dwell in it.

As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the LORD, no man shall abide there, neither shall a son of man dwell in it.

19 보라 獅子(사자)가 요단의 6)수풀에서 올라 오는 것같이 그가 와서 7)堅固(견고)한 處所(처소)를 칠 것이라 내가 卽時(즉시) 그들을 거기서 쫓아내고 擇(택)한 者(자)를 내가 그 위에 세우리니 나와 같은 者(자) 누구며 8)나로 더불어 다툴 者(자) 누구며 내 앞에 설 牧者(목자)가 누구뇨

Like a lion coming up from Jordan's thickets to a rich pastureland, I will chase Edom from its land in an instant. Who is the chosen one I will appoint for this? Who is like me and who can challenge me? And what shepherd can stand against me?

Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the swelling of Jordan against the habitation of the strong: but I will suddenly make him run away from her: and who is a chosen man, that I may appoint over her? for who is like me? and who will appoint me the time? and who is that shepherd that will stand before me?

20 ● 그런즉 에돔에 對(대)한 나 여호와의 圖謀(도모)데만 居民(거민)에 對(대)하여 經營(경영)한 나 여호와의 뜻을 들으라 羊(양)떼의 어린 것들을 그들이 반드시 끌어가고 그 9)處所(처소)로 荒蕪(황무)케 하리니

Therefore, hear what the LORD has planned against Edom, what he has purposed against those who live in Teman: The young of the flock will be dragged away; he will completely destroy their pasture because of them.

Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that he hath taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he hath purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: surely he shall make their habitations desolate with them.

21 그 넘어지는 소리에 땅이 震動(진동)하며 그 부르짖는 소리는 紅海(홍해)에 들리리라

At the sound of their fall the earth will tremble; their cry will resound to the Red Sea.

The earth is moved at the noise of their fall, at the cry the noise thereof was heard in the Red sea.

22 보라 怨讐(원수)가 독수리같이 날아와서 그 날개를 보스라 위에 펴는 그 날에 에돔 勇士(용사)의 마음이 구로하는 女人(여인) 같으리라

Look! An eagle will soar and swoop down, spreading its wings over Bozrah. In that day the hearts of Edom's warriors will be like the heart of a woman in labor.

Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread his wings over Bozrah: and at that day shall the heart of the mighty men of Edom be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

23 다메섹에 對(대)한 말씀이라 하맛과 아르밧이 羞恥(수치)를 當(당)하리니 이는 凶(흉)한 所聞(소문)을 듣고 落膽(낙담)함이라 바닷가에 슬픔이 있고 平安(평안)이 없도다

Concerning Damascus: "Hamath and Arpad are dismayed, for they have heard bad news. They are disheartened, troubled like the restless sea.

Concerning Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad: for they have heard evil tidings: they are fainthearted; there is sorrow on the sea; it cannot be quiet.

24 다메섹이 疲困(피곤)하여 몸을 돌이켜 달아나려 하니 떨림이 그를 움켰고 解産(해산)하는 女人(여인)같이 苦痛(고통)과 슬픔이 그를 잡았도다

Damascus has become feeble, she has turned to flee and panic has gripped her; anguish and pain have seized her, pain like that of a woman in labor.

Damascus is waxed feeble, and turneth herself to flee, and fear hath seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken her, as a woman in travail.

25 讚頌(찬송)의 城邑(성읍), 나의 즐거운 城邑(성읍)이 어찌 버린 것이 되지 않겠느냐

Why has the city of renown not been abandoned, the town in which I delight?

How is the city of praise not left, the city of my joy!

26 나 萬軍(만군)의 여호와가 말하노라 그런즉 그 날에 그의 靑年(청년)들은 그 거리에 엎드러지겠고 모든 軍士(군사)는 滅絶(멸절)될 것이며

Surely, her young men will fall in the streets; all her soldiers will be silenced in that day," declares the LORD Almighty.

Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be cut off in that day, saith the LORD of hosts.

27 내가 다메섹의 城壁(성벽)에 불을 놓으리니 벤하닷의 宮殿(궁전)이 살라지리라

I will set fire to the walls of Damascus; it will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.

And I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall consume the palaces of Benhadad.

28 ● 바벨론 王(왕) 느부갓네살에게 攻擊(공격)된 바 게달과 하솔 나라들에 對(대)한 말씀이라 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시되 너희는 일어나 게달로 올라가서 東方(동방) 子孫(자손)들을 滅(멸)하라

Concerning Kedar and the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon attacked: This is what the LORD says: "Arise, and attack Kedar and destroy the people of the East.

Concerning Kedar, and concerning the kingdoms of Hazor, which Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon shall smite, thus saith the LORD; Arise ye, go up to Kedar, and spoil the men of the east.

29 10)너희는 그 帳幕(장막)과 羊(양)떼를 取(취)하며 揮帳(휘장)과 모든 器具(기구)와 약대를 빼앗아다가 所有(소유)를 삼고 그들을 向(향)하여 외치기를 두려움이 四方(사방)에 있다 할찌니라
시120:5 아1:5 렘6:25     10) 히, 그들

Their tents and their flocks will be taken; their shelters will be carried off with all their goods and camels. Men will shout to them, 'Terror on every side!'

Their tents and their flocks shall they take away: they shall take to themselves their curtains, and all their vessels, and their camels; and they shall cry unto them, Fear is on every side.

30 나 여호와가 말하노라 하솔 居民(거민)逃亡(도망)하라 멀리 가서 깊은데 居(거)하라 이는 바벨론 王(왕) 느부갓네살이 너를 칠 謀略(모략)과 너를 칠 計策(계책)을 定(정)하였음이니라

Flee quickly away! Stay in deep caves, you who live in Hazor, declares the LORD. "Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has plotted against you; he has devised a plan against you.

Flee, get you far off, dwell deep, O ye inhabitants of Hazor, saith the LORD; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon hath taken counsel against you, and hath conceived a purpose against you.

31 나 여호와가 말하노라 너는 일어나 저 平安(평안)하고 念慮(염려)없이 居(거)하는 百姓(백성) 곧 城門(성문)이나 門(문)빗장이 없이 홀로 居(거)하는 國民(국민)을 치라

Arise and attack a nation at ease, which lives in confidence, declares the LORD, "a nation that has neither gates nor bars; its people live alone.

Arise, get you up unto the wealthy nation, that dwelleth without care, saith the LORD, which have neither gates nor bars, which dwell alone.

32 그들의 약대들은 擄略(노략)되겠고 그 많은 家畜(가축)은 奪取(탈취)를 當(당)할 것이라 내가 그 머리털을 모지게 깍는 者(자)들을 四面(사면)에 흩고 그 災難(재난)을 各方(각방)에서 오게 하리라 여호와의 말이니라

Their camels will become plunder, and their large herds will be booty. I will scatter to the winds those who are in distant places and will bring disaster on them from every side," declares the LORD.

And their camels shall be a booty, and the multitude of their cattle a spoil: and I will scatter into all winds them that are in the utmost corners; and I will bring their calamity from all sides thereof, saith the LORD.

33 하솔은 豺狼(시랑)의 居處(거처)가 되어 永遠(영원)히 荒蕪(황무)하리니 거기 居(거)하는 사람이나 그 中(중)에 寓居(우거)하는 아무 人子(인자)가 없게 되리라

Hazor will become a haunt of jackals, a desolate place forever. No one will live there; no man will dwell in it.

And Hazor shall be a dwelling for dragons, and a desolation for ever: there shall no man abide there, nor any son of man dwell in it.

34 ● 유다 王(왕) 시드기야의 卽位(즉위)한지 오래지 아니하여서 엘람에 對(대)한 여호와의 말씀이 先知者(선지자) 예레미야에게 臨(임)하니라 가라사대

This is the word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet concerning Elam, early in the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah:

The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, saying,

35 나 萬軍(만군)의 여호와가 이같이 말하노라 보라 내가 엘람의 힘의 으뜸되는 활을 꺽을 것이요

This is what the LORD Almighty says: "See, I will break the bow of Elam, the mainstay of their might.

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, the chief of their might.

36 하늘의 四方(사방)에서부터 四方(사방) 바람을 엘람에 이르게 하여 그들을 四方(사방)으로 흩으리니 엘람에서 쫓겨난 者(자)의 이르지 아니하는 나라가 없으리라

I will bring against Elam the four winds from the four quarters of the heavens; I will scatter them to the four winds, and there will not be a nation where Elam's exiles do not go.

And upon Elam will I bring the four winds from the four quarters of heaven, and will scatter them toward all those winds; and there shall be no nation whither the outcasts of Elam shall not come.

37 나 여호와가 말하노라 내가 엘람으로 그 怨讐(원수)의 앞, 그 生命(생명)을 찾는 者(자)의 앞에서 놀라게 할 것이며 내가 災殃(재앙) 곧 나의 震怒(진노)를 그 위에 내릴 것이며 내가 또 그 뒤로 칼을 보내어 그를 殄滅(진멸)하기까지 할 것이라

I will shatter Elam before their foes, before those who seek their lives; I will bring disaster upon them, even my fierce anger," declares the LORD. "I will pursue them with the sword until I have made an end of them.

For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them:

38 내가 나의 位(위)를 엘람에 베풀고 王(왕)과 族長(족장)들을 그 곳에서 滅(멸)하리라 여호와의 말이니라

I will set my throne in Elam and destroy her king and officials," declares the LORD.

And I will set my throne in Elam, and will destroy from thence the king and the princes, saith the LORD.

39 그러나 끝날에 이르러는 내가 엘람의 捕虜(포로)를 돌아오게 하리라 여호와의 말이니라

Yet I will restore the fortunes of Elam in days to come, declares the LORD.

But it shall come to pass in the latter days, that I will bring again the captivity of Elam, saith the LORD.
