에브라임은 바람을 먹으며 이東風(동풍)을 따라 가서 날마다 거짓과 暴虐(포학)을 더하며 ㅐ앗수르와 契約(계약)을 맺고 ㄱ기름을 애굽에 보내도다
Ephraim feeds on the wind; he pursues the east wind all day and multiplies lies and violence. He makes a treaty with Assyria and sends olive oil to Egypt. Ephraim feedeth on wind, and followeth after the east wind: he daily increaseth lies and desolation; and they do make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt. |

ㄴ여호와께서 유다와 爭辯(쟁변)하시고 야곱의 所行(소행)대로 罰(벌)주시며 그 所爲(소위)대로 報應(보응)하시리라

The LORD has a charge to bring against Judah; he will punish Jacob according to his ways and repay him according to his deeds. The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him. |

ㄷ야곱은 胎(태)에서 그 兄(형)의 발뒤꿈치를 잡았고 또 長年(장년)에 ㄹ하나님과 힘을 겨루되
In the womb he grasped his brother's heel; as a man he struggled with God. He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God: |

天使(천사)와 힘을 겨루어 이기고 울며 그에게 懇求(간구)하였으며 ㅁ하나님은 벧엘에서 저를 만나셨고 거기서 우리에게 말씀하셨나니
He struggled with the angel and overcame him; he wept and begged for his favor. He found him at Bethel and talked with him there-- Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us; |

저는 萬軍(만군)의 하나님 여호와시라 ㅂ여호와는 그의 記念(기념) 稱號(칭호)니라

그런즉 ㅅ너의 하나님께로 돌아와서 ㅇ仁愛(인애)와 公義(공의)를 지키며 恒常(항상) 너의 하나님을 바라볼찌니라
But you must return to your God; maintain love and justice, and wait for your God always. Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment, and wait on thy God continually. |

● 저는 商賈(상고)여늘 ㅈ손에 거짓 저울을 가지고 ㅊ詐取(사취)하기를 좋아하는도다
The merchant uses dishonest scales; he loves to defraud. He is a merchant, the balances of deceit are in his hand: he loveth to oppress. |

에브라임이 말하기를 ㅋ나는 實(실)로 富者(부자)라 내가 財物(재물)을 얻었는데 무릇 나의
受苦(수고)한 中(중)에서 ㅌ罪(죄)라 할만한 不義(불의)를 發見(발견)할 者(자) 없으리라 하거니와
Ephraim boasts, "I am very rich; I have become wealthy. With all my wealth they will not find in me any iniquity or sin." And Ephraim said, Yet I am become rich, I have found me out substance: in all my labours they shall find none iniquity in me that were sin. |

ㅍ네가 애굽 땅에서 나옴으로부터 나는 네 하나님 여호와니라 내가 너로 다시 ㅎ帳幕(장막)에 居(거)하게 하기를 名節日(명절일)에 하던 것 같게 하리라
I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, as in the days of your appointed feasts. And I that am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt will yet make thee to dwell in tabernacles, as in the days of the solemn feast. |

ㅏ내가 여러 先知者(선지자)에게 말하였고 ㅑ異像(이상)을 많이 보였으며 先知者(선지자)들을 憑藉(빙자)하여
譬喩(비유)를 베풀었노라
I spoke to the prophets, gave them many visions and told parables through them." I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets. |

ㅓ길르앗은 不義(불의)한 것이냐 저희는 果然(과연) 거짓되도다 ㅕ길갈에서는 무리가 수송아지로 祭祀(제사)를 드리며 ㅗ그 祭壇(제단)은
ㅛ밭이랑에 쌓인 돌무더기 같도다
Is Gilead wicked? Its people are worthless! Do they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal? Their altars will be like piles of stones on a plowed field. Is there iniquity in Gilead? surely they are vanity: they sacrifice bullocks in Gilgal; yea, their altars are as heaps in the furrows of the fields. |

옛적에 ㅜ야곱이 ㅠ아람 들로 逃亡(도망)하였으며 이스라엘이 으아내 얻기 爲(위)하여 사람을 섬기며 아내 얻기 爲(위)하여 羊(양)을 쳤고
Jacob fled to the country of Aram; Israal served to get a wife, and to pay for her he tended sheep. And Jacob fled into the country of Syria, and Israel served for a wife, and for a wife he kept sheep. |

이여호와께서는 ㅐ先知者(선지자)로 이스라엘을 애굽에서 引導(인도)하여 내시며 先知者(선지자)로 저를 保護(보호)하셨거늘
The LORD used a prophet to bring Israel up from Egypt, by a prophet he cared for him. And by a prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a prophet was he preserved. |

ㄱ에브라임이 激怒(격노)케 함이 極甚(극심)하였으니 그 主(주)께서 ㄴ그 피로 그 위에 머물러 있게 하시며 ㄷ저의 羞恥(수치)를 저에게 돌리시리라
But Ephraim has bitterly provoked him to anger; his Lord will leave upon him the guilt of his bloodshed and will repay him for his contempt. Ephraim provoked him to anger most bitterly: therefore shall he leave his blood upon him, and his reproach shall his Lord return unto him. |
