올리고자 하실 때에 엘리야가 ㅏ엘리사로 더불어 ㅑ길갈에서 나가더니
When the LORD was about to take Elijah up to heaven in a whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal. And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. |

엘리야가 엘리사에게 이르되 請(청)컨대 너는 ㅓ여기 머물라 여호와께서 나를 벧엘로 보내시느니라 엘리사가 가로되 ㅕ여호와의 사심과 當身(당신)의 魂(혼)의
삶을 가리켜 盟誓(맹세)하노니 내가 當身(당신)을 떠나지 아니하겠나이다 이에 두 사람이 벧엘로 내려가니
Elijah said to Elisha, "Stay here; the LORD has sent me to Bethel." But Elisha said, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went down to Bethel. And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel. |

벧엘에 있는 ㅗ先知者(선지자)의 生徒(생도)들이 엘리사에게로 나아와 이르되 여호와께서 오늘날 當身(당신)의 先生(선생)을 ㅛ當身(당신)의 머리 위로 取(취)하실
줄을 아나이까 가로되 나도 아노니 너희는 潛潛(잠잠)하라
The company of the prophets at Bethel came out to Elisha and asked, "Do you know that the LORD is going to take your master from you today?" "Yes, I know," Elisha replied, "but do not speak of it." And the sons of the prophets that were at Bethel came forth to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he said, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. |

盟誓(맹세)하노니 내가 當身(당신)을 떠나지 아니하겠나이다 하니라 저희가 여리고에 이르매
Then Elijah said to him, "Stay here, Elisha; the LORD has sent me to Jericho." And he replied, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So they went to Jericho. And Elijah said unto him, Elisha, tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Jericho. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they came to Jericho. |

여리고에 있는 先知者(선지자)의 生徒(생도)들이 엘리사에게 나아와 이르되 여호와께서 오늘날 當身(당신)의 先生(선생)을 當身(당신)의 머리 위로 取(취)하실 줄을 아나이까 엘리사가 가로되 나도 아노니
너희는 潛潛(잠잠)하라
The company of the prophets at Jericho went up to Elisha and asked him, "Do you know that the LORD is going to take your master from you today?" "Yes, I know," he replied, "but do not speak of it." And the sons of the prophets that were at Jericho came to Elisha, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the LORD will take away thy master from thy head to day? And he answered, Yea, I know it; hold ye your peace. |

Then Elijah said to him, "Stay here; the LORD has sent me to the Jordan." And he replied, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So the two of them walked on. And Elijah said unto him, Tarry, I pray thee, here; for the LORD hath sent me to Jordan. And he said, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And they two went on. |

先知者(선지자)의 生徒(생도) 五十人(오십인)이 가서 멀리 서서 바라보매 그 두 사람이 요단가에 섰더니
Fifty men of the company of the prophets went and stood at a distance, facing the place where Elijah and Elisha had stopped at the Jordan. And fifty men of the sons of the prophets went, and stood to view afar off: and they two stood by Jordan. |

엘리야가 ㅠ겉옷을 取(취)하여 말아 물을 치매 으물이 이리 저리 갈라지고 두 사람이 陸地(육지) 위로 건너더라
Elijah took his cloak, rolled it up and struck the water with it. The water divided to the right and to the left, and the two of them crossed over on dry ground. And Elijah took his mantle, and wrapped it together, and smote the waters, and they were divided hither and thither, so that they two went over on dry ground. |

건너매 엘리야가 엘리사에게 이르되 나를 네게서 取(취)하시기 前(전)에 내가 네게 어떻게 할 것을 求(구)하라 엘리사가 가로되 當身(당신)의 靈感(영감)이 갑절이나 내게 있기를 求(구)하나이다
When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, "Tell me, what can I do for you before I am taken from you?" "Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit," Elisha replied. And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. |

가로되 네가 어려운 일을 求(구)하는도다 그러나 나를 네게서 取(취)하시는 것을 네가 보면 그 일이 네게 이루려니와 그렇지 않으면 이루지 아니하리라 하고
You have asked a difficult thing, Elijah said, "yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours--otherwise not." And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. |

두 사람이 行(행)하며 말하더니 忽然(홀연)히 이불수레와 불말들이 두 사람을 隔(격)하고
엘리야가 회리바람을 타고 昇天(승천)하더라

As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind. And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. |

● 엘리사가 보고 소리 지르되 내 아버지여, 내 아버지여, ㅐ이스라엘의 兵車(병거)와 그 馬兵(마병)이여 하더니 다시 보이지 아니하는지라 이에 엘리사가 自己(자기)의 옷을 잡아
ㄱ둘에 찢고
Elisha saw this and cried out, "My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!" And Elisha saw him no more. Then he took hold of his own clothes and tore them apart. And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces. |

엘리야의 몸에서 떨어진 겉옷을 주워가지고 돌아와서 요단 언덕에 서서
He picked up the cloak that had fallen from Elijah and went back and stood on the bank of the Jordan. He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan; |

엘리야의 몸에서 떨어진 그 겉옷을 가지고 물을 치며 가로되 엘리야의 하나님 여호와는 어디 계시니이까 하고 저도 물을 치매 물이 이리 저리 갈라지고 엘리사가 건너니라
Then he took the cloak that had fallen from him and struck the water with it. "Where now is the LORD, the God of Elijah?" he asked. When he struck the water, it divided to the right and to the left, and he crossed over. And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over. |

● 맞은便(편) 여리고에 있는 先知者(선지자)의 生徒(생도)들이 저를 보며 말하기를 엘리야의 迎接(영접)이 엘리사의 위에 머물렀다 하고 가서 저를 迎接(영접)하여 그 앞에서 땅에 엎드리고
The company of the prophets from Jericho, who were watching, said, "The spirit of Elijah is resting on Elisha." And they went to meet him and bowed to the ground before him. And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him. |

가로되 當身(당신)의 종들에게 勇士(용사) 五十人(오십인)이 있으니 請(청)컨대 저희로 가서 當身(당신)의 主(주)를 찾게 하소서 念慮(염려)컨대 ㄴ여호와의
神(신)이 저를 들어 가다가 어느 山(산)에나 어느 골짜기에 던지셨을까 하나이다 엘리사가 가로되 보내지 말라 하나

Look, they said, "we your servants have fifty able men. Let them go and look for your master. Perhaps the Spirit of the LORD has picked him up and set him down on some mountain or in some valley." "No," Elisha replied, "do not send them." And they said unto him, Behold now, there be with thy servants fifty strong men; let them go, we pray thee, and seek thy master: lest peradventure the Spirit of the LORD hath taken him up, and cast him upon some mountain, or into some valley. And he said, Ye shall not send. |

무리가 저로 ㄷ부끄러워 하도록 强請(강청)하매 보내라 한지라 저희가 五十人(오십인)을 보내었더니 사흘을 찾되 發見(발견)하지 못하고

But they persisted until he was too ashamed to refuse. So he said, "Send them." And they sent fifty men, who searched for three days but did not find him. And when they urged him till he was ashamed, he said, Send. They sent therefore fifty men; and they sought three days, but found him not. |

엘리사가 여리고에 머무는 中(중)에 무리가 저에게 돌아오니 엘리사가 저희에게 이르되 내가 가지 말라고 너희에게 이르지 아니하였느냐 하였더라
When they returned to Elisha, who was staying in Jericho, he said to them, "Didn't I tell you not to go?" And when they came again to him, (for he tarried at Jericho,) he said unto them, Did I not say unto you, Go not? |

● 그 城(성) 사람들이 엘리사에게 告(고)하되 우리 主(주)께서 보시는 바와 같이 이 城邑(성읍)의 터는 아름다우나 물이 좋지 못하므로 土産(토산)이 익지 못하고 떨어지나이다
The men of the city said to Elisha, "Look, our lord, this town is well situated, as you can see, but the water is bad and the land is unproductive." And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren. |

엘리사가 가로되 새 그릇에 소금을 담아 내게로 가져오라 하매 곧 가져온지라
Bring me a new bowl, he said, "and put salt in it." So they brought it to him. And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. |

엘리사가 물 根源(근원)으로 나아가서 ㄹ소금을 그 가운데 던지며 가로되 여호와의 말씀이 내가 이 물을 고쳤으니 이로 좇아 다시는 죽음이나 土産(토산)이 익지 못하고 떨어짐이 없을찌니라
하셨느니라 하니
Then he went out to the spring and threw the salt into it, saying, "This is what the LORD says: 'I have healed this water. Never again will it cause death or make the land unproductive.'" And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land. |

그 물이 엘리사의 말과 같이 고쳐져서 오늘날에 이르렀더라
And the water has remained wholesome to this day, according to the word Elisha had spoken. So the waters were healed unto this day, according to the saying of Elisha which he spake. |

● 엘리사가 거기서 벧엘로 올라가더니 길에 行(행)할 때에 젊은 아이들이 城(성)에서 나와서 저를 嘲弄(조롱)하여 가로되 대머리여, 올라가라 대머리여, 올라가라 하는지라
From there Elisha went up to Bethel. As he was walking along the road, some youths came out of the town and jeered at him. "Go on up, you baldhead!" they said. "Go on up, you baldhead!" And he went up from thence unto Bethel: and as he was going up by the way, there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. |

엘리사가 돌이켜 저희를 보고 ㅁ여호와의 이름으로 詛呪(저주)하매 곧 수풀에서 암콤 둘이 나와서 아이들 中(중)에 四十二名(사십이명)을 찢었더라

He turned around, looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the LORD. Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths. And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the LORD. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them. |

엘리사가 거기서부터 ㅂ갈멜山(산)으로 가고 거기서 ㅅ사마리아로 돌아왔더라
And he went on to Mount Carmel and from there returned to Samaria. And he went from thence to mount Carmel, and from thence he returned to Samaria. |
