Then the king called together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem. And the king sent, and they gathered unto him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem. |

이에 여호와의 殿(전)에 올라가매 유다 모든 사람과 예루살렘 居民(거민)과 祭司長(제사장)들과 先知者(선지자)들과 모든 百姓(백성)이 無論(무론) 老少(노소)하고 다 王(왕)과 함께한지라 王(왕)이 ㅊ여호와의 殿(전) 안에서 發見(발견)한
ㅋ言約冊(언약책)의 모든 말씀을 읽어 무리의 귀에 들리고
He went up to the temple of the LORD with the men of Judah, the people of Jerusalem, the priests and the prophets--all the people from the least to the greatest. He read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant, which had been found in the temple of the LORD. And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD. |

王(왕)이 ㅌ臺(대) 위에 서서 여호와 앞에서 ㅍ言約(언약)을 세우되 마음을 다하고 性稟(성품)을 다하여 ㅎ여호와를 順從(순종)하고 그 誡命(계명)과 法度(법도)와 律例(율례)를 지켜 이 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 이 言約(언약)의 말씀을 이루게 하리라 하매 百姓(백성)이 다 그 言約(언약)을 좇기로 하니라
The king stood by the pillar and renewed the covenant in the presence of the LORD--to follow the LORD and keep his commands, regulations and decrees with all his heart and all his soul, thus confirming the words of the covenant written in this book. Then all the people pledged themselves to the covenant. And the king stood by a pillar, and made a covenant before the LORD, to walk after the LORD, and to keep his commandments and his testimonies and his statutes with all their heart and all their soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. And all the people stood to the covenant. |

● 王(왕)이 大祭司長(대제사장) 힐기야와 모든 ㅏ버금 祭司長(제사장)들과 門(문)을 지킨 者(자)들에게 命(명)하여 ㅑ바알과
ㅓ아세라와 하늘의 日月(일월) 星辰(성신)을 爲(위)하여 만든 모든 器皿(기명)을
여호와의 殿(전)에서 내어다가 ㅕ예루살렘 바깥 기드론 밭에서 불사르고 그 재를 벧엘로 가져가게 하고
The king ordered Hilkiah the high priest, the priests next in rank and the doorkeepers to remove from the temple of the LORD all the articles made for Baal and Asherah and all the starry hosts. He burned them outside Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron Valley and took the ashes to Bethel. And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel. |

옛적에 유다 王(왕)들이 세워서 유다 모든 고을과 예루살렘 四面(사면) 山堂(산당)에서 焚香(분향)하며 偶像(우상)을 섬기게 한 祭司長(제사장)들을 廢(폐)하며 또 바알과 해와 달과 열두 宮星(궁성)과

He did away with the pagan priests appointed by the kings of Judah to burn incense on the high places of the towns of Judah and on those around Jerusalem--those who burned incense to Baal, to the sun and moon, to the constellations and to all the starry hosts. And he put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven. |

또 여호와의 殿(전)에서 아세라 像(상)을 내어 예루살렘 바깥 기드론 시내로 가져다가 거기서 불사르고 ㅛ빻아서 가루를 만들어 ㅜ그 가루를 平民(평민)의 墓地(묘지)에

He took the Asherah pole from the temple of the LORD to the Kidron Valley outside Jerusalem and burned it there. He ground it to powder and scattered the dust over the graves of the common people. And he brought out the grove from the house of the LORD, without Jerusalem, unto the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and stamped it small to powder, and cast the powder thereof upon the graves of the children of the people. |

또 여호와의 殿(전) 가운데 ㅠ美童(미동)의 집을 헐었으니 으그곳은 女人(여인)이 아세라를 爲(위)하여
揮帳(휘장)을 짜는 處所(처소)이었더라
He also tore down the quarters of the male shrine prostitutes, which were in the temple of the LORD and where women did weaving for Asherah. And he brake down the houses of the sodomites, that were by the house of the LORD, where the women wove hangings for the grove. |

유다 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에서 모든 祭司長(제사장)을 불러오고 또 祭司長(제사장)이 焚香(분향)하던 山堂(산당)을 이게바에서부터 브엘세바까지 더럽게하고 또 城門(성문)의 山堂(산당)들을
헐어 버렸으니 이 山堂(산당)들은 府尹(부윤) 여호수아의 大門(대문) 어구 곧 城門(성문) 왼便(편)에 있었더라

Josiah brought all the priests from the towns of Judah and desecrated the high places, from Geba to Beersheba, where the priests had burned incense. He broke down the shrines at the gates--at the entrance to the Gate of Joshua, the city governor, which is on the left of the city gate. And he brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city. |

ㅐ山堂(산당)의 祭司長(제사장)들은 예루살렘 여호와의 壇(단)에 올라가지 못하고 다만 그
兄弟(형제) 中(중)에서 無酵餠(무교병)을 먹을 뿐이었더라
Although the priests of the high places did not serve at the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, they ate unleavened bread with their fellow priests. Nevertheless the priests of the high places came not up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their brethren. |

王(왕)이 또 ㄱ힌놈의 아들 골짜기의 ㄴ도벳을 더럽게 하여 ㄷ사람으로 ㄹ몰록에게 드리기 爲(위)하여 그 子女(자녀)를 불로
지나가게 하지 못하게 하고
He desecrated Topheth, which was in the Valley of Ben Hinnom, so no one could use it to sacrifice his son or daughter in the fire to Molech. And he defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech. |

또 유다 列王(열왕)이 太陽(태양)을 爲(위)하여 드린 말들을 除(제)하여 버렸으니 이 말들은 여호와의 殿(전)으로 들어가는 곳의 ㅁ近處(근처) ㅂ侍從(시종) 나단멜렉의 집 곁에 있던 것이며 또 太陽(태양) 수레를 불사르고
He removed from the entrance to the temple of the LORD the horses that the kings of Judah had dedicated to the sun. They were in the court near the room of an official named Nathan-Melech. Josiah then burned the chariots dedicated to the sun. And he took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entering in of the house of the LORD, by the chamber of Nathanmelech the chamberlain, which was in the suburbs, and burned the chariots of the sun with fire. |

유다 列王(열왕)이 ㅅ아하스의 다락 지붕에 세운 壇(단)들과 므낫세가 ㅇ여호와의 殿(전) 두 마당에 세운 壇(단)들을 王(왕)이 다 헐고 거기서 빻아내려서 그 가루를
ㅈ기드론 시내에 쏟아버리고
He pulled down the altars the kings of Judah had erected on the roof near the upper room of Ahaz, and the altars Manasseh had built in the two courts of the temple of the LORD. He removed them from there, smashed them to pieces and threw the rubble into the Kidron Valley. And the altars that were on the top of the upper chamber of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of the LORD, did the king beat down, and brake them down from thence, and cast the dust of them into the brook Kidron. |

또 예루살렘 앞 ㅊ滅亡山(멸망산) 右便(우편)에 세운 山堂(산당)을 더럽게 하였으니 이는 옛적에 이스라엘王(왕) 솔로몬이 시돈 사람의 可憎(가증)한
ㅋ아스다롯과 모압 사람의 可憎(가증)한 ㅌ그모스와 암몬 子孫(자손)의 可憎(가증)한
ㅍ밀곰을 爲(위)하여 세웠던 것이며
The king also desecrated the high places that were east of Jerusalem on the south of the Hill of Corruption--the ones Solomon king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the vile goddess of the Sidonians, for Chemosh the vile god of Moab, and for Molech the detestable god of the people of Ammon. And the high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mount of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had builded for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Zidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of the Moabites, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, did the king defile. |

王(왕)이 또 ㅎ石像(석상)들을 깨뜨리며 아세라 木像(목상)들을 찍고 사람의 骸骨(해골)로 그곳에 채웠더라

Josiah smashed the sacred stones and cut down the Asherah poles and covered the sites with human bones. And he brake in pieces the images, and cut down the groves, and filled their places with the bones of men. |

● 이스라엘로 犯罪(범죄)케 한 ㅏ느밧의 아들 여로보암이 벧엘에 세운 壇(단)과 ㅑ山堂(산당)을 王(왕)이 헐고 ㅓ또 그 山堂(산당)을 불사르고
빻아서 가루를 만들며 또 아세라 木像(목상)을 불살랐더라
Even the altar at Bethel, the high place made by Jeroboam son of Nebat, who had caused Israel to sin--even that altar and high place he demolished. He burned the high place and ground it to powder, and burned the Asherah pole also. Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, both that altar and the high place he brake down, and burned the high place, and stamped it small to powder, and burned the grove. |

요시야가 몸을 돌이켜 山(산)에 있는 墓室(묘실)들을 보고 보내어 그 墓室(묘실)에서 骸骨(해골)을 取(취)하여다가 壇(단) 위에 불살라 그 壇(단)을 더럽게 하니라 이 일을 하나님의 사람이
傳(전)하였더니 그 傳(전)한 ㅕ여호와의 말씀대로 되었더라

Then Josiah looked around, and when he saw the tombs that were there on the hillside, he had the bones removed from them and burned on the altar to defile it, in accordance with the word of the LORD proclaimed by the man of God who foretold these things. And as Josiah turned himself, he spied the sepulchres that were there in the mount, and sent, and took the bones out of the sepulchres, and burned them upon the altar, and polluted it, according to the word of the LORD which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these words. |

요시야가 이르되 내게 보이는 저것은 무슨 碑石(비석)이냐 城邑(성읍) 사람들이 告(고)하되 王(왕)께서 벧엘의 壇(단)에 向(향)하여 行(행)하신 이 일을 傳(전)하러 유다에서 왔던
ㅗ하나님의 사람의 墓室(묘실)이니이다
The king asked, "What is that tombstone I see?" The men of the city said, "It marks the tomb of the man of God who came from Judah and pronounced against the altar of Bethel the very things you have done to it." Then he said, What title is that that I see? And the men of the city told him, It is the sepulchre of the man of God, which came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that thou hast done against the altar of Bethel. |

가로되 그대로 두고 그 뼈를 옮기지 말라 하매 무리가 그 뼈와 사마리아에서 온 ㅛ先知者(선지자)의 뼈는 그대로 두었더라
Leave it alone, he said. "Don't let anyone disturb his bones." So they spared his bones and those of the prophet who had come from Samaria. And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of Samaria. |

ㅜ前(전)에 이스라엘 列王(열왕)이 사마리아 各(각) 城邑(성읍)에 지어서 여호와의 怒(노)를 激發(격발)한 山堂(산당)을 요시야가 다 除(제)하되
벧엘에서 行(행)한 모든 일대로 行(행)하고

Just as he had done at Bethel, Josiah removed and defiled all the shrines at the high places that the kings of Israel had built in the towns of Samaria that had provoked the LORD to anger. And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the LORD to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel. |

또 ㅠ거기 있는 山堂(산당)의 祭司長(제사장)들을 다 壇(단) 위에서 죽이고 으사람의 骸骨(해골)을 壇(단) 위에 불사르고 예루살렘으로 돌아왔더라
Josiah slaughtered all the priests of those high places on the altars and burned human bones on them. Then he went back to Jerusalem. And he slew all the priests of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem. |

● 王(왕)이 뭇 百姓(백성)에게 命(명)하여 가로되 이이 言約冊(언약책)에 記錄(기록)된대로 너희의 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여
ㅐ逾越節(유월절)을 지키라 하매
The king gave this order to all the people: "Celebrate the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in this Book of the Covenant." And the king commanded all the people, saying, Keep the passover unto the LORD your God, as it is written in the book of this covenant. |

ㄱ士師(사사)가 이스라엘을 다스리던 時代(시대)부터 이스라엘 列王(열왕)의 時代(시대)에든지 유다 列王(열왕)의 時代(시대)에든지 이렇게
逾越節(유월절)을 지킨 일이 없었더니
Not since the days of the judges who led Israel, nor throughout the days of the kings of Israel and the kings of Judah, had any such Passover been observed. Surely there was not holden such a passover from the days of the judges that judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah; |
23 |
요시야王(왕) 十八年(십팔년)에 예루살렘에서 여호와 앞에 이 逾越節(유월절)을 지켰더라
But in the eighteenth year of King Josiah, this Passover was celebrated to the LORD in Jerusalem. But in the eighteenth year of king Josiah, wherein this passover was holden to the LORD in Jerusalem. |

● 요시야가 또 유다 땅과 예루살렘에 보이는 ㄴ神接(신접)한 者(자)와 박수와 ㄷ드라빔과 ㄹ偶像(우상)과 모든 可憎(가증)한
것을 다 除(제)하였으니 이는 大祭司長(대제사장) ㅁ힐기야가 여호와의 殿(전)에서 發見(발견)한 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된
ㅂ律法(율법) 말씀을 이루려 함이라
Furthermore, Josiah got rid of the mediums and spiritists, the household gods, the idols and all the other detestable things seen in Judah and Jerusalem. This he did to fulfill the requirements of the law written in the book that Hilkiah the priest had discovered in the temple of the LORD. Moreover the workers with familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the images, and the idols, and all the abominations that were spied in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, did Josiah put away, that he might perform the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of the LORD. |

ㅅ요시야와 같이 마음을 다하며 性稟(성품)을 다하며 힘을 다하여 여호와를 向(향)하여 모세의 모든 律法(율법)을 穩全(온전)히 遵行(준행)한 임금은 요시야 前(전)에도 없었고 後(후)에도 그와 같은 者(자)가 없었더라

Neither before nor after Josiah was there a king like him who turned to the LORD as he did--with all his heart and with all his soul and with all his strength, in accordance with all the Law of Moses. And like unto him was there no king before him, that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him. |

● 그러나 여호와께서 유다를 向(향)하여 震怒(진노)하신 그 크게 타오르는 震怒(진노)를 돌이키지 아니하셨으니 이는 ㅇ므낫세가 여호와를 激怒(격노)케 한 그 모든 激怒(격노)를
因(인)함이라
Nevertheless, the LORD did not turn away from the heat of his fierce anger, which burned against Judah because of all that Manasseh had done to provoke him to anges. Notwithstanding the LORD turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocations that Manasseh had provoked him withal. |

여호와께서 가라사대 ㅈ내가 이스라엘을 물리친 것 같이 유다도 내 앞에서 물리치며 내가 뺀 이 城(성)
예루살렘과 ㅊ내 이름을 거기 두리라 한 이 殿(전)을 버리리라 하셨더라
So the LORD said, "I will remove Judah also from my presence as I removed Israel, and I will reject Jerusalem, the city I chose, and this temple, about which I said, 'There shall my Name be.'" And the LORD said, I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, My name shall be there. |

● 요시야의 남은 事蹟(사적)과 모든 行(행)한 일은 유다 王(왕) 歷代志略(역대지략)에 記錄(기록)되지 아니하였느냐
As for the other events of Josiah's reign, and all he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? |

ㅋ요시야 當時(당시)에 애굽 王(왕) ㅌ바로느고가 앗수르 王(왕)을 치고자하여 유브라데 河水(하수)로
올라가므로 요시야 王(왕)이 나가서 防備(방비)하더니 애굽 王(왕)이 요시야를 ㅍ므깃도에서 만나본 後(후)에 죽인지라
While Josiah was king, Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the Euphrates River to help the king of Assyria. King Josiah marched out to meet him in battle, but Neco faced him and killed him at Megiddo. In his days Pharaohnechoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and he slew him at Megiddo, when he had seen him. |

ㅎ臣僕(신복)들이 그 屍體(시체)를 兵車(병거)에 싣고 므깃도에서 예루살렘으로 돌아와서 그 墓室(묘실)에 葬事(장사)하니
ㅏ國民(국민)이 요시야의 아들 여호아하스를 데려다가 저에게 기름을 붓고 그 父親(부친)을 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)을 삼았더라
Josiah's servants brought his body in a chariot from Megiddo to Jerusalem and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz son of Josiah and anointed him and made him king in place of his father. And his servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own sepulchre. And the people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead. |

● ㅑ여호아하스가 位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 二十三歲(이십삼세)라 예루살렘에서 석달을 治理(치리)하니라
그 母親(모친)의 이름은 ㅓ하무달이라 립나 예레미야의 딸이더라
Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem three months. His mother's name was Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah; she was from Libnah. Jehoahaz was twenty and three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Hamutal, the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah. |

여호아하스가 그 ㅕ列祖(열조)의 모든 行爲(행위)대로 여호와 보시기에 惡(악)을 行(행)하였더니
He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as his fathers had done. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done. |
33 |
바로느고가 저를 ㅗ하맛 땅 ㅛ립나에 가두어 예루살렘에서 王(왕)이 되지 못하게 하고 또 그 나라로 銀(은) 一百(일백) 달란트와 金(금) 한 달란트를 罰金(벌금)으로 내게 하고
Pharaoh Neco put him in chains at Riblah in the land of Hamath so that he might not reign in Jerusalem, and he imposed on Judah a levy of a hundred talents of silver and a talent of gold. And Pharaohnechoh put him in bands at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of an hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold. |

바로느고가 요시야의 아들 엘리아김으로 그 아비 요시야를 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)을 삼고 ㅜ그 이름을 고쳐 여호야김이라 하고 여호아하스는 ㅠ애굽으로 잡아갔더니 저가 거기서 죽으니라
Pharaoh Neco made Eliakim son of Josiah king in place of his father Josiah and changed Eliakim's name to Jehoiakim. But he took Jehoahaz and carried him off to Egypt, and there he died. And Pharaohnechoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the room of Josiah his father, and turned his name to Jehoiakim, and took Jehoahaz away: and he came to Egypt, and died there. |

여호야김이 으銀(은)과 金(금)을 바로에게 주니라 저가 바로느고의 命令(명령)대로 그에게 그 돈을 주기 爲(위)하여 나라에 賦課(부과)하되 國民(국민) 各(각) 사람의 힘대로
額數(액수)를 定(정)하고 銀金(은금)을 勒捧(늑봉)하였더라

Jehoiakim paid Pharaoh Neco the silver and gold he demanded. In order to do so, he taxed the land and exacted the silver and gold from the people of the land according to their assessments. And Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of every one according to his taxation, to give it unto Pharaohnechoh. |

● 이여호야김이 王(왕)이 될 때에 나이 二十五歲(이십오세)라 예루살렘에서 十一年(십일년)을 治理(치리)하니라
그 母親(모친)의 이름은 스비다라 루마 브다야의 딸이더라

Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem eleven years. His mother's name was Zebidah daughter of Pedaiah; she was from Rumah. Jehoiakim was twenty and five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Zebudah, the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah. |

여호야김이 그 列祖(열조)의 모든 行(행)한 일을 本(본)받아 여호와 보시기에 惡(악)을 行(행)하였더라
And he did evil in the eyes of the LORD, just as his fathers had done. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, according to all that his fathers had done. |
