Now Ahab told Jezebel everything Elijah had done and how he had killed all the prophets with the sword. And Ahab told Jezebel all that Elijah had done, and withal how he had slain all the prophets with the sword. |

이세벨이 使者(사자)를 엘리야에게 보내어 이르되 내가 來日(내일) 이맘때에는 丁寧(정녕) 네 生命(생명)으로 저 사람들 中(중) 한 사람의
生命(생명)같게 하리라 아니하면 으神(신)들이 내게 罰(벌)위에 罰(벌)을 내림이 마땅하니라 한지라
So Jezebel sent a messenger to Elijah to say, "May the gods deal with me, be it ever so severely, if by this time tomorrow I do not make your life like that of one of them." Then Jezebel sent a messenger unto Elijah, saying, So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by to morrow about this time. |

저가 이 形便(형편)을 보고 일어나 그 生命(생명)을 爲(위)하여 逃亡(도망)하여 유다에 屬(속)한 이브엘세바에 이르러 自己(자기)의 使喚(사환)을 그곳에 머물게 하고

스스로 曠野(광야)로 들어가 하룻길쯤 行(행)하고 한 로뎀나무 아래 앉아서 ㅐ죽기를 求(구)하여 가로되 여호와여 넉넉하오니 只今(지금) 내 生命(생명)을 取(취)하옵소서 나는 내
列祖(열조)보다 낫지 못하니이다 하고
while he himself went a day's journey into the desert. He came to a broom tree, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, LORD," he said. "Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors." But he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. |

로뎀나무 아래 누워 자더니 天使(천사)가 어루만지며 이르되 일어나서 먹으라 하는지라
Then he lay down under the tree and fell asleep. All at once an angel touched him and said, "Get up and eat." And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. |

본즉 머리맡에 숯불에 구운 떡과 한 甁(병) 물이 있더라 이에 먹고 마시고 다시 누웠더니
He looked around, and there by his head was a cake of bread baked over hot coals, and a jar of water. He ate and drank and then lay down again. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. |

여호와의 使者(사자)가 또 다시 와서 어루만지며 이르되 일어나서 먹으라 네가 길을 이기지 못할까 하노라 하는지라
The angel of the LORD came back a second time and touched him and said, "Get up and eat, for the journey is too much for you." And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. |

이에 일어나 먹고 마시고 그 植物(식물)의 힘을 依支(의지)하여 ㄱ四十晝(사십주) 四十夜(사십야)를 行(행)하여 하나님의 山(산) ㄴ호렙에
이르니라
So he got up and ate and drank. Strengthened by that food, he traveled forty days and forty nights until he reached Horeb, the mountain of God. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God. |

● 엘리야가 그곳 窟(굴)에 들어가 거기서 留(유)하더니 ㄷ여호와의 말씀이 저에게 臨(임)하여 이르시되 엘리야야 네가 어찌하여 여기 있느냐

There he went into a cave and spent the night. And the word of the LORD came to him: "What are you doing here, Elijah?" And he came thither unto a cave, and lodged there; and, behold, the word of the LORD came to him, and he said unto him, What doest thou here, Elijah? |

저가 對答(대답)하되 내가 萬軍(만군)의 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여 ㄹ熱心(열심)이 特甚(특심)하오니 이는 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 主(주)의 言約(언약)을 버리고 ㅁ主(주)의 壇(단)을 헐며
ㅂ칼로 主(주)의 先知者(선지자)들을 죽였음이오며 ㅅ오직 나만 남았거늘 저희가 내 生命(생명)을 찾아 取(취)하려 하나이다
He replied, "I have been very zealous for the LORD God Almighty. The Israelites have rejected your covenant, broken down your altars, and put your prophets to death with the sword. I am the only one left, and now they are trying to kill me too." And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. |

여호와께서 가라사대 너는 나가서 여호와의 앞에서 ㅇ山(산)에 섰으라 하시더니 여호와께서 지나가시는데 여호와의 앞에 ㅈ크고 强(강)한 바람이 山(산)을 가르고 바위를
부수나 바람 가운데 여호와께서 계시지 아니하며 바람 後(후)에 ㅊ地震(지진)이 있으나 地震(지진) 가운데도 여호와께서 계시지 아니하며
The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by." Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the LORD. And, behold, the LORD passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the LORD; but the LORD was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake; but the LORD was not in the earthquake: |

또 地震(지진) 後(후)에 불이 있으나 불 가운데도 여호와께서 계시지 아니하더니 불 後(후)에 ㅋ細微(세미)한
소리가 있는지라

After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. And after the earthquake a fire; but the LORD was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice. |

엘리야가 듣고 겉옷으로 ㅌ얼굴을 가리우고 나가 窟(굴) 어귀에 서매 ㅍ소리가 있어 저에게 臨(임)하여 가라사대 엘리야야 네가 어찌하여 여기 있느냐
When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave. Then a voice said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?" And it was so, when Elijah heard it, that he wrapped his face in his mantle, and went out, and stood in the entering in of the cave. And, behold, there came a voice unto him, and said, What doest thou here, Elijah? |

저가 對答(대답)하되 내가 萬軍(만군)의 하나님 여호와를 爲(위)하여 熱心(열심)이 特甚(특심)하오니 이는 이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 主(주)의 言約(언약)을 버리고 主(주)의 壇(단)을 헐며 칼로
主(주)의 先知者(선지자)들을 죽였음이오며 오직 나만 남았거늘 저희가 내 生命(생명)을 찾아 取(취)하려 하나이다

● 여호와께서 저에게 이르시되 너는 네 길을 돌이켜 曠野(광야)로 말미암아 다메섹에 가서 이르거든 하사엘에게 기름을 부어 아람 王(왕)이 되게 하고
The LORD said to him, "Go back the way you came, and go to the Desert of Damascus. When you get there, anoint Hazael king over Aram. And the LORD said unto him, Go, return on thy way to the wilderness of Damascus: and when thou comest, anoint Hazael to be king over Syria: |

ㅎ너는 또 님시의 아들 예후에게 기름을 부어 이스라엘 王(왕)이 되게 하고 또 아벨므홀라 사밧의 아들 ㅏ엘리사에게 기름을 부어 너를 代身(대신)하여 先知者(선지자)가
되게 하라
Also, anoint Jehu son of Nimshi king over Israel, and anoint Elisha son of Shaphat from Abel Meholah to succeed you as prophet. And Jehu the son of Nimshi shalt thou anoint to be king over Israel: and Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abelmeholah shalt thou anoint to be prophet in thy room. |

ㅑ하사엘의 칼을 避(피)하는 者(자)를 ㅓ예후가 죽일 것이요 예후의 칼을 避(피)하는 者(자)를 ㅕ엘리사가 죽이리라
Jehu will put to death any who escape the sword of Hazael, and Elisha will put to death any who escape the sword of Jehu. And it shall come to pass, that him that escapeth the sword of Hazael shall Jehu slay: and him that escapeth from the sword of Jehu shall Elisha slay. |

그러나 ㅗ내가 이스라엘 가운데 七千人(칠천인)을 남기리니 다 무릎을 바알에게 꿇지 아니하고 다 ㅛ그 입을 바알에게 맞추지 아니한 者(자)니라
Yet I reserve seven thousand in Israel--all whose knees have not bowed down to Baal and all whose mouths have not kissed him." Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him. |

● 엘리야가 거기서 떠나 사밧의 아들 엘리사를 만나니 저가 열 두겨리 소를 앞세우고 밭을 가는데 自己(자기)는 열 둘째 겨리와 함께 있더라
엘리야가 그리로 건너가서 ㅜ겉옷을 그의 위에 던졌더니

So Elijah went from there and found Elisha son of Shaphat. He was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen, and he himself was driving the twelfth pair. Elijah went up to him and threw his cloak around him. So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him. |

저가 소를 버리고 엘리야에게로 달려가서 이르되 ㅠ請(청)컨대 나로 내 父母(부모)와 입맞추게 하소서 그리한 後(후)에 내가 當身(당신)을 따르리이다 엘리야가 저에게 이르되 돌아가라 내가
네게 어떻게 行(행)하였느냐 하니라
Elisha then left his oxen and ran after Elijah. "Let me kiss my father and mother good-by," he said, "and then I will come with you." "Go back," Elijah replied. "What have I done to you?" And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee? |

엘리사가 저를 떠나 돌아가서 소 한 겨리를 取(취)하여 잡고 소의 으器具(기구)를 불살라 그 고기를 삶아 百姓(백성)에게 주어 먹게 하고 일어나 가서 엘리야를 좇으며
이隧從(수종)들었더라
So Elisha left him and went back. He took his yoke of oxen and slaughtered them. He burned the plowing equipment to cook the meat and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he set out to follow Elijah and became his attendant. And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him. |
