때에 ㅅ하나님의 사람이 여호와의 말씀으로 因(인)하여 유다에서부터 벧엘에 이르니 마침 여로보암이 壇(단) 곁에 서서 ㅇ焚香(분향)하는지라
By the word of the LORD a man of God came from Judah to Bethel, as Jeroboam was standing by the altar to make an offering. And, behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of the LORD unto Bethel: and Jeroboam stood by the altar to burn incense. |

낳으리니 저가 네 위에 焚香(분향)하는 山堂(산당) 祭司長(제사장)을 네 위에 祭祀(제사)할 것이요 또 사람의 뼈를 네 위에 사르리라 하셨느니라 하고

He cried out against the altar by the word of the LORD: "O altar, altar! This is what the LORD says: 'A son named Josiah will be born to the house of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests of the high places who now make offerings here, and human bones will be burned on you.'" And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the priests of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee. |

그 날에 저가 ㅋ豫兆(예조)를 들어 가로되 이는 여호와의 말씀하신 豫兆(예조)라 壇(단)이 갈라지며 그 위에 있는 재가 쏟아지리라 하매

That same day the man of God gave a sign: "This is the sign the LORD has declared: The altar will be split apart and the ashes on it will be poured out." And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the LORD hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out. |

여로보암 王(왕)이 하나님의 사람의 벧엘에 있는 壇(단)을 向(향)하여 외쳐 말함을 들을 때에 壇(단)에서 손을 펴며 저를 잡으라 하더라 저를 向(향)하여 편 손이 말라 다시 거두지 못하며
When King Jeroboam heard what the man of God cried out against the altar at Bethel, he stretched out his hand from the altar and said, "Seize him!" But the hand he stretched out toward the man shriveled up, so that he could not pull it back. And it came to pass, when king Jeroboam heard the saying of the man of God, which had cried against the altar in Bethel, that he put forth his hand from the altar, saying, Lay hold on him. And his hand, which he put forth against him, dried up, so that he could not pull it in again to him. |

하나님의 사람의 여호와의 말씀으로 보인 豫兆(예조)대로 壇(단)이 갈라지며 재가 壇(단)에서 쏟아진지라
Also, the altar was split apart and its ashes poured out according to the sign given by the man of God by the word of the LORD. The altar also was rent, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of the LORD. |

王(왕)이 하나님의 사람에게 말하여 가로되 ㅌ請(청)컨대 너는 나를 爲(위)하여 네 하나님 여호와께 恩惠(은혜)를 求(구)하여 내 손으로 다시 성하게 祈禱(기도)하라 하나님의 사람이
여호와께 恩惠(은혜)를 求(구)하니 王(왕)의 손이 다시 성하여 前(전)과 같이 되니라
Then the king said to the man of God, "Intercede with the LORD your God and pray for me that my hand may be restored." So the man of God interceded with the LORD, and the king's hand was restored and became as it was before. And the king answered and said unto the man of God, Intreat now the face of the LORD thy God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again. And the man of God besought the LORD, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before. |

王(왕)이 하나님의 사람에게 이르되 나와 함께 집에 가서 몸을 쉬라 ㅍ내가 네게 禮物(예물)을 주리라
The king said to the man of God, "Come home with me and have something to eat, and I will give you a gift." And the king said unto the man of God, Come home with me, and refresh thyself, and I will give thee a reward. |

하나님의 사람이 王(왕)께 對答(대답)하되 ㅎ王(왕)께서 王(왕)의 집 折半(절반)으로 내게 준다 할찌라도 ㅏ나는 王(왕)과 함께 들어가지도 아니하고 이곳에서는 떡도
먹지 아니하고 물도 마시지 아니하리니
But the man of God answered the king, "Even if you were to give me half your possessions, I would not go with you, nor would I eat bread or drink water here. And the man of God said unto the king, If thou wilt give me half thine house, I will not go in with thee, neither will I eat bread nor drink water in this place: |

이는 곧 여호와의 말씀이 내게 命(명)하여 이르시기를 떡도 먹지 말며 물도 마시지 말고 왔던 길로 도로 가지도 말라 하셨음이니이다 하고
For I was commanded by the word of the LORD: 'You must not eat bread or drink water or return by the way you came.'" For so was it charged me by the word of the LORD, saying, Eat no bread, nor drink water, nor turn again by the same way that thou camest. |

이에 다른 길로 가고 自己(자기)가 벧엘에 오던 길로 좇아 돌아가지 아니하니라
So he took another road and did not return by the way he had come to Bethel. So he went another way, and returned not by the way that he came to Bethel. |
11 |
● 벧엘에 ㅑ한 늙은 先知者(선지자)가 살더니 그 아들들이 와서 이 날에 하나님의 사람이 벧엘에서 行(행)한 모든 일을 저에게 告(고)하고 또 그가 王(왕)에게 告(고)한 말씀도 저희가
그 아비에게 告(고)한지라
Now there was a certain old prophet living in Bethel, whose sons came and told him all that the man of God had done there that day. They also told their father what he had said to the king. Now there dwelt an old prophet in Bethel; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father. |

그 아비가 저희에게 이르되 그가 어느 길로 가더냐 하니 그 아들들이 유다에서부터 온 하나님의 사람의 간 길을 보았음이라
Their father asked them, "Which way did he go?" And his sons showed him which road the man of God from Judah had taken. And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah. |

저가 그 아들들에게 이르되 나를 爲(위)하여 나귀에 鞍裝(안장)을 지우라 저희가 나귀에 鞍裝(안장)을 지우니 저가 타고
So he said to his sons, "Saddle the donkey for me." And when they had saddled the donkey for him, he mounted it And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon, |

하나님의 사람의 뒤를 좇아 가서 상수리나무 아래 앉은 것을 보고 이르되 그대가 유다에서 온 하나님의 사람이뇨 對答(대답)하되 그러하다
and rode after the man of God. He found him sitting under an oak tree and asked, "Are you the man of God who came from Judah?" "I am," he replied. And went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am. |

저가 그 사람에게 이르되 나와 함께 집으로 가서 떡을 먹으라
So the prophet said to him, "Come home with me and eat." Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread. |

對答(대답)하되 ㅓ나는 그대와 함께 돌아가지도 못하겠고 그대와 함께 들어가지도 못하겠으며 내가 이곳에서 그대와 함께 떡도 먹지 아니하고 물도 마시지 아니하리니

The man of God said, "I cannot turn back and go with you, nor can I eat bread or drink water with you in this place. And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place: |

이는 ㅕ여호와의 말씀이 내게 이르시기를 네가 거기서 떡도 먹지 말고 물도 마시지 말며 또 네가 오던 길로 돌아가지도 말라 하셨음이로라
I have been told by the word of the LORD: 'You must not eat bread or drink water there or return by the way you came.'" For it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest. |

저가 그 사람에게 이르되 나도 그대와 같은 先知者(선지자)라 天使(천사)가 여호와의 말씀으로 내게 이르기를 그를 네 집으로 데리고 돌아가서 그에게 떡을 먹이고 물을 마시우라 하였느니라 하니 이는 그 사람을
속임이라
The old prophet answered, "I too am a prophet, as you are. And an angel said to me by the word of the LORD: 'Bring him back with you to your house so that he may eat bread and drink water.'" (But he was lying to him.) He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him. |

이에 그 사람이 저와 함께 돌아가서 그 집에서 떡을 먹으며 물을 마시니라
So the man of God returned with him and ate and drank in his house. So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water. |
20 |
● 저희가 床(상) 앞에 앉았을 때에 여호와의 말씀이 그 사람을 데려온 先知者(선지자)에게 臨(임)하니
While they were sitting at the table, the word of the LORD came to the old prophet who had brought him back. And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back: |

저가 유다에서부터 온 하나님의 사람을 向(향)하여 외쳐 가로되 여호와의 말씀에 네가 여호와의 말씀을 어기며 네 하나님 여호와가 네게 命(명)한 命令(명령)을 지키지 아니하고
He cried out to the man of God who had come from Judah, "This is what the LORD says: 'You have defied the word of the LORD and have not kept the command the LORD your God gave you. And he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee, |

돌아와서 여호와가 너더러 떡도 먹지 말고 물도 마시지 말라 한 곳에서 떡을 먹고 물을 마셨으니 네 屍體(시체)가 네 列祖(열조)의 墓室(묘실)에 들어가지 못하리라 하셨느니라 하니라
You came back and ate bread and drank water in the place where he told you not to eat or drink. Therefore your body will not be buried in the tomb of your fathers.'" But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers. |

自己(자기)가 데리고 온 先知者(선지자)가 떡을 먹고 물을 마신 後(후)에 그를 爲(위)하여 나귀에 鞍裝(안장)을 지우니라
When the man of God had finished eating and drinking, the prophet who had brought him back saddled his donkey for him. And it came to pass, after he had eaten bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit, for the prophet whom he had brought back. |

이에 그 사람이 가더니 ㅗ獅子(사자)가 길에서 저를 만나 죽이매 그 屍體(시체)가 길에 버린 바 되니 나귀는 그 곁에 섰고 獅子(사자)도 그 屍體(시체) 곁에 섰더라

그 사람을 길에서 데리고 돌아간 先知者(선지자)가 듣고 말하되 이는 여호와의 말씀을 어긴 하나님의 사람이로다 여호와께서 그에게 하신 말씀과 같이 여호와께서 그를 獅子(사자)에게 붙이시매 獅子(사자)가 그를
찢어 죽였도다 하고
When the prophet who had brought him back from his journey heard of it, he said, "It is the man of God who defied the word of the LORD. The LORD has given him over to the lion, which has mauled him and killed him, as the word of the LORD had warned him." And when the prophet that brought him back from the way heard thereof, he said, It is the man of God, who was disobedient unto the word of the LORD: therefore the LORD hath delivered him unto the lion, which hath torn him, and slain him, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake unto him. |

이에 그 아들들에게 말하여 가로되 나를 爲(위)하여 나귀에 鞍裝(안장)을 지우라 저희가 鞍裝(안장)을 지우매
The prophet said to his sons, "Saddle the donkey for me," and they did so. And he spake to his sons, saying, Saddle me the ass. And they saddled him. |

저가 가서 본즉 그 屍體(시체)가 길에 버린 바 되었고 나귀와 獅子(사자)는 그 屍體(시체) 곁에 섰는데 獅子(사자)가 屍體(시체)를 먹지도 아니하였고 나귀를 찢지도 아니하였더라
Then he went out and found the body thrown down on the road, with the donkey and the lion standing beside it. The lion had neither eaten the body nor mauled the donkey. And he went and found his carcase cast in the way, and the ass and the lion standing by the carcase: the lion had not eaten the carcase, nor torn the ass. |

늙은 先知者(선지자)가 하나님의 사람의 屍體(시체)를 떠들어 나귀에 실어가지고 돌아와 自己(자기) 城邑(성읍)으로 들어가서 슬피 울며 葬事(장사)하되
So the prophet picked up the body of the man of God, laid it on the donkey, and brought it back to his own city to mourn for him and bury him. And the prophet took up the carcase of the man of God, and laid it upon the ass, and brought it back: and the old prophet came to the city, to mourn and to bury him. |

곧 그 屍體(시체)를 自己(자기)의 墓室(묘실)에 두고 그를 爲(위)하여 슬피 울며 가로되 ㅜ오호라 나의 兄弟(형제)여 하니라

Then he laid the body in his own tomb, and they mourned over him and said, "Oh, my brother!" And he laid his carcase in his own grave; and they mourned over him, saying, Alas, my brother! |

그 사람을 葬事(장사)한 後(후)에 저가 그 아들들에게 말하여 가로되 내가 죽거든 하나님의 사람을 葬事(장사)한
墓室(묘실)에 나를 葬事(장사)하되 ㅠ내 뼈를 그의 뼈 곁에 두라
After burying him, he said to his sons, "When I die, bury me in the grave where the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones. And it came to pass, after he had buried him, that he spake to his sons, saying, When I am dead, then bury me in the sepulchre wherein the man of God is buried; lay my bones beside his bones: |

으그가 여호와의 말씀으로 벧엘에 있는 壇(단)을 向(향)하고 또 이사마리아 城邑(성읍)들에 있는 ㅐ모든 山堂(산당)을 向(향)하여 외쳐 말한 것이
반드시 이룰 것임이니라
For the message he declared by the word of the LORD against the altar in Bethel and against all the shrines on the high places in the towns of Samaria will certainly come true." For the saying which he cried by the word of the LORD against the altar in Bethel, and against all the houses of the high places which are in the cities of Samaria, shall surely come to pass. |

● 여로보암이 이 일 後(후)에도 그 惡(악)한 길에서 떠나 돌이키지 아니하고 다시 普通(보통) 百姓(백성)으로 山堂(산당)의 祭司長(제사장)을 삼되 누구든지 自願(자원)하면 그 사람으로 ㄱ山堂(산당)의 祭司長(제사장)을 삼았으므로

Even after this, Jeroboam did not change his evil ways, but once more appointed priests for the high places from all sorts of people. Anyone who wanted to become a priest he consecrated for the high places. After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people priests of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the priests of the high places. |

ㄴ이 일이 여로보암 집에 罪(죄)가 되어 그 집이 ㄷ地面(지면)에서 끊어져 滅亡(멸망)케 되니라
This was the sin of the house of Jeroboam that led to its downfall and to its destruction from the face of the earth. And this thing became sin unto the house of Jeroboam, even to cut it off, and to destroy it from off the face of the earth. |
