1 솔로몬 王(왕)이 온 이스라엘의 王(왕)이 되었고

So King Solomon ruled over all Israel.

So king Solomon was king over all Israel.

2 그의 臣下(신하)들은 이러하니라 사독의 아들 아사리아는 祭司長(제사장)이요

And these were his chief officials: Azariah son of Zadok--the priest;

And these were the princes which he had; Azariah the son of Zadok the priest,

3 시사의 아들 엘리호렙과 아히야는 書記官(서기관)이요 아힐룻의 아들 여호사밧은 史官(사관)이요

Elihoreph and Ahijah, sons of Shisha--secretaries; Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud--recorder;

Elihoreph and Ahiah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder.

4 여호야다의 아들 브나야는 軍隊(군대) 長官(장관)이요 사독과 아비아달은 祭司長(제사장)이요

Benaiah son of Jehoiada--commander in chief; Zadok and Abiathar--priests;

And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the priests:

5 나단의 아들 아사리아는 官吏長(관리장)이요 나단의 아들 사붓은 大臣(대신)이니 王(왕)의 벗이요

Azariah son of Nathan--in charge of the district officers; Zabud son of Nathan--a priest and personal adviser to the king;

And Azariah the son of Nathan was over the officers: and Zabud the son of Nathan was principal officer, and the king's friend:

6 아히살은 宮內(궁내) 大臣(대신)이요 압다의 아들 아도니람은 監役官(감역관)이더라

Ahishar--in charge of the palace; Adoniram son of Abda--in charge of forced labor.

And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

7 ● 솔로몬이 또 온 이스라엘 위에 열 두 官長(관장)을 두매 그 사람들이 王(왕)과 王室(왕실)을 爲(위)하여 植物(식물)을 豫備(예비)하되 各其(각기) 一年(일년)에 한달씩 植物(식물)을 豫備(예비)하였으니

Solomon also had twelve district governors over all Israel, who supplied provisions for the king and the royal household. Each one had to provide supplies for one month in the year.

And Solomon had twelve officers over all Israel, which provided victuals for the king and his household: each man his month in a year made provision.

8 그 이름은 이러하니라 에브라임 山地(산지)에는 벤훌이요

These are their names: Ben-Hur--in the hill country of Ephraim;

And these are their names: The son of Hur, in mount Ephraim:

9 마가스와 사알빔과 벧세메스와 엘론벧하난에는 벤데겔이요

Ben-Deker--in Makaz, Shaalbim, Beth Shemesh and Elon Bethhanan;

The son of Dekar, in Makaz, and in Shaalbim, and Bethshemesh, and Elonbethhanan:

10 아룹봇에는 벤헤셋이니 소고와 헤벨 온 땅을 저가 主管(주관)하였으며

Ben-Hesed--in Arubboth (Socoh and all the land of Hepher were his);

The son of Hesed, in Aruboth; to him pertained Sochoh, and all the land of Hepher:

11 돌 높은 땅 온 地方(지방)에는 벤아비나답이니 저는 솔로몬의 딸 다밧으로 아내를 삼았으며

Ben-Abinadab--in Naphoth Dor (he was married to Taphath daughter of Solomon);

The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

12 다아낙과 므깃도와 이스르엘 아래 사르단 가에 있는 벧소안 온 땅은 아힐룻의 아들 바아나가 맡았으니 벧소안에서부터 아벨므홀라에 이르고 욕느암 바깥까지 미쳤으며

Baana son of Ahilud--in Taanach and Megiddo, and in all of Beth Shan next to Zarethan below Jezreel, from Beth Shan to Abel Meholah across to Jokmeam;

Baana the son of Ahilud; to him pertained Taanach and Megiddo, and all Bethshean, which is by Zartanah beneath Jezreel, from Bethshean to Abelmeholah, even unto the place that is beyond Jokneam:

13 길르앗 라못에는 벤게벨이니 저는 길르앗에 있는 므낫세의 아들 야일의 모든 村(촌)을 主管(주관)하였고 또 바산 아르곱 땅의 城璧(성벽)과 놋빗장 있는 큰 城邑(성읍) 六十(육십)을 主管(주관)하였으며

Ben-Geber--in Ramoth Gilead (the settlements of Jair son of Manasseh in Gilead were his, as well as the district of Argob in Bashan and its sixty large walled cities with bronze gate bars);

The son of Geber, in Ramothgilead; to him pertained the towns of Jair the son of Manasseh, which are in Gilead; to him also pertained the region of Argob, which is in Bashan, threescore great cities with walls and brasen bars:

14 마하나임에는 잇도의 아들 아히나답이요

Ahinadab son of Iddo--in Mahanaim;

Ahinadab the son of Iddo had Mahanaim:

15 납달리에는 아히마아스니 저는 솔로몬의 딸 바스맛으로 아내를 삼았으며

Ahimaaz--in Naphtali (he had married Basemath daughter of Solomon);

Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife:

16 아셀과 아롯에는 후새의 아들 바아나요

Baana son of Hushai--in Asher and in Aloth;

Baanah the son of Hushai was in Asher and in Aloth:

17 잇사갈에는 바루아의 아들 여호사밧이요

Jehoshaphat son of Paruah--in Issachar;

Jehoshaphat the son of Paruah, in Issachar:

18 베냐민에는 엘라의 아들 시므이요

Shimei son of Ela--in Benjamin;

Shimei the son of Elah, in Benjamin:

19 아모리 사람의 王(왕) 시혼과 바산 王(왕) 옥의 나라 길르앗 땅에는 우리의 아들 게벨이니 그 땅에서는 저 한사람만 官長(관장)이 되었더라

Geber son of Uri--in Gilead (the country of Sihon king of the Amorites and the country of Og king of Bashan). He was the only governor over the district.

Geber the son of Uri was in the country of Gilead, in the country of Sihon king of the Amorites, and of Og king of Bashan; and he was the only officer which was in the land.

20 ● 유다와 이스라엘의 人口(인구)가 바닷가의 모래 같이 많게 되매 먹고 마시며 즐거워하였으며

The people of Judah and Israel were as numerous as the sand on the seashore; they ate, they drank and they were happy.

Judah and Israel were many, as the sand which is by the sea in multitude, eating and drinking, and making merry.

21 솔로몬이 河水(하수)에서부터 블레셋 사람의 땅에 이르기까지와 애굽 地境(지경)에 미치기까지의 모든 나라를 다스리므로 그 나라들이 貢(공)을 바쳐 솔로몬의 사는 동안에 섬겼더라

And Solomon ruled over all the kingdoms from the River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt. These countries brought tribute and were Solomon's subjects all his life.

And Solomon reigned over all kingdoms from the river unto the land of the Philistines, and unto the border of Egypt: they brought presents, and served Solomon all the days of his life.

22 솔로몬의 一日分(일일분) 植物(식물)은 가는 밀가루가 三十石(삼십석)이요 굵은 밀가루가 六十石(육십석)이요

Solomon's daily provisions were thirty cors of fine flour and sixty cors of meal,

And Solomon's provision for one day was thirty measures of fine flour, and threescore measures of meal,

23 살진 소가 열이요 草場(초장)의 소가 스물이요 羊(양)이 一百(일백)이며 그 外(외)에 수사슴과 노루와 암사슴과 살진 새들이었더라

ten head of stall-fed cattle, twenty of pasture-fed cattle and a hundred sheep and goats, as well as deer, gazelles, roebucks and choice fowl.

Ten fat oxen, and twenty oxen out of the pastures, and an hundred sheep, beside harts, and roebucks, and fallowdeer, and fatted fowl.

24 솔로몬이 河水(하수) 이便(편)을 딥사에서부터 가사까지 모두 다스리므로 河水(하수) 이便(편)의 모든 王(왕)이 다 管轄(관할)한 바 되매 저가 四方(사방)에 둘린 民族(민족)과 平和(평화)가 있었으니

For he ruled over all the kingdoms west of the River, from Tiphsah to Gaza, and had peace on all sides.

For he had dominion over all the region on this side the river, from Tiphsah even to Azzah, over all the kings on this side the river: and he had peace on all sides round about him.

25 솔로몬의 사는 동안에 유다와 이스라엘이 단에서부터 브엘세바에 이르기까지 各其(각기) 葡萄(포도)나무 아래와 無花果(무화과)나무 아래서 晏然(안연)히 살았더라

During Solomon's lifetime Judah and Israel, from Dan to Beersheba, lived in safety, each man under his own vine and fig tree.

And Judah and Israel dwelt safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan even to Beersheba, all the days of Solomon.

26 솔로몬의 兵車(병거)의 말의 외양간이 四萬(사만)이요 馬兵(마병)이 一萬(일만) 二千(이천)이며

Solomon had four thousand stalls for chariot horses, and twelve thousand horses.

And Solomon had forty thousand stalls of horses for his chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen.

27 그 官長(관장)들은 各各(각각) 自己(자기) 달에 솔로몬王(왕)과 王(왕)의 床(상)에 參與(참여)하는 모든 者(자)를 爲(위)하여 먹을 것을 豫備(예비)하여 不足(부족)함이 없게 하였으며

The district officers, each in his month, supplied provisions for King Solomon and all who came to the king's table. They saw to it that nothing was lacking.

And those officers provided victual for king Solomon, and for all that came unto king Solomon's table, every man in his month: they lacked nothing.

28 또 저희가 各其(각기) 職務(직무)를 따라 말과 駿馬(준마)에게 먹일 보리와 꼴을 그 말의 있는 곳으로 가져왔더라

They also brought to the proper place their quotas of barley and straw for the chariot horses and the other horses.

Barley also and straw for the horses and dromedaries brought they unto the place where the officers were, every man according to his charge.

29 하나님이 솔로몬에게 智慧(지혜)聰明(총명)을 甚(심)히 많이 주시고 또 넓은 마음을 주시되 바닷가의 모래 같이 하시니

God gave Solomon wisdom and very great insight, and a breadth of understanding as measureless as the sand on the seashore.

And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore.

30 솔로몬의 智慧(지혜)東洋(동양) 모든 사람의 智慧(지혜)애굽의 모든 智慧(지혜)보다 뛰어난지라

Solomon's wisdom was greater than the wisdom of all the men of the East, and greater than all the wisdom of Egypt.

And Solomon's wisdom excelled the wisdom of all the children of the east country, and all the wisdom of Egypt.

31 저는 모든 사람보다 智慧(지혜)로와서 예스라 사람 에단과 마홀의 아들 헤만과 갈골과 다르다보다 나으므로 그 이름이 四方(사방) 모든 나라에 들렸더라

He was wiser than any other man, including Ethan the Ezrahite--wiser than Heman, Calcol and Darda, the sons of Mahol. And his fame spread to all the surrounding nations.

For he was wiser than all men; than Ethan the Ezrahite, and Heman, and Chalcol, and Darda, the sons of Mahol: and his fame was in all nations round about.

32 저가 箴言(잠언) 三千(삼천)을 말하였고 그 노래는 一千(일천) 다섯이며

He spoke three thousand proverbs and his songs numbered a thousand and five.

And he spake three thousand proverbs: and his songs were a thousand and five.

33 저가 또 草木(초목)을 論(논)하되 레바논 柏香木(백향목)으로부터 담에 나는 牛膝草(우슬초)까지 하고 저가 또 짐승과 새와 기어 다니는 것과 물고기를 論(논)한지라

He described plant life, from the cedar of Lebanon to the hyssop that grows out of walls. He also taught about animals and birds, reptiles and fish.

And he spake of trees, from the cedar tree that is in Lebanon even unto the hyssop that springeth out of the wall: he spake also of beasts, and of fowl, and of creeping things, and of fishes.

34 모든 民族(민족) 中(중)에서 솔로몬의 智慧(지혜)所聞(소문)을 들은 天下(천하) 모든 王(왕) 中(중)에서 그 智慧(지혜)를 들으러 왔더라

Men of all nations came to listen to Solomon's wisdom, sent by all the kings of the world, who had heard of his wisdom.

And there came of all people to hear the wisdom of Solomon, from all kings of the earth, which had heard of his wisdom.
