하나님이 야곱에게 이르시되 일어나 ㅜ벧엘로 올라가서 거기 居(거)하며 네가 ㅠ네 兄(형) 에서의 낯을 避(피)하여 逃亡(도망)하던 때에 네게
나타났던 하나님께 거기서 壇(단)을 쌓으라 하신지라
Then God said to Jacob, "Go up to Bethel and settle there, and build an altar there to God, who appeared to you when you were fleeing from your brother Esau." And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother. |

야곱이 이에 으自己(자기) 집 사람과 自己(자기)와 함께한 모든 者(자)에게 이르되 너희 中(중)의 이異邦(이방) 神像(신상)을 버리고
ㅐ自身(자신)을 淨潔(정결)케 하고 衣服(의복)을 바꾸라
So Jacob said to his household and to all who were with him, "Get rid of the foreign gods you have with you, and purify yourselves and change your clothes. Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments: |

우리가 일어나 벧엘로 올라가자 나의 ㄱ患難(환난)날에 내게 應答(응답)하시며 나의 가는 길에서 나와 ㄴ함께 하신 하나님께 내가 거기서 壇(단)을 쌓으려 하노라하매
Then come, let us go up to Bethel, where I will build an altar to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and who has been with me wherever I have gone." And let us arise, and go up to Bethel; and I will make there an altar unto God, who answered me in the day of my distress, and was with me in the way which I went. |

그들이 自己(자기) 손에 있는 모든 異邦(이방) 神像(신상)과 自己(자기) 귀에 있는 고리를 야곱에게 주는지라 야곱이 그것들을 ㄷ세겜 近處(근처) 상수리나무 아래 묻고
So they gave Jacob all the foreign gods they had and the rings in their ears, and Jacob buried them under the oak at Shechem. And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem. |

그들이 發行(발행)하였으나 ㄹ하나님이 그 四面(사면) 고을들로 크게 두려워하게 하신故(고)로 야곱의 아들들을 追擊(추격)하는 者(자)가
없었더라
Then they set out, and the terror of God fell upon the towns all around them so that no one pursued them. And they journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities that were round about them, and they did not pursue after the sons of Jacob. |

그가 거기서 壇(단)을 쌓고 그곳을 1)엘벧엘이라 불렀으니 이는 그 兄(형)의 낯을 避(피)할 때에 ㅂ하나님이 그에게 거기서 나타나셨음이더라

There he built an altar, and he called the place El Bethel, because it was there that God revealed himself to him when he was fleeing from his brother. And he built there an altar, and called the place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother. |

리브가의 乳母(유모) ㅅ드보라가 죽으매 그를 벧엘 아래 ㅇ상수리나무 밑에 葬事(장사)하고 그
나무 이름을 2)알론바굿이라 불렀더라
Now Deborah, Rebekah's nurse, died and was buried under the oak below Bethel. So it was named Allon Bacuth. But Deborah Rebekah's nurse died, and she was buried beneath Bethel under an oak: and the name of it was called Allonbachuth. |

● 야곱이 밧단아람에서 돌아오매 하나님이 다시 야곱에게 나타나서 그에게 福(복)을 주시고
After Jacob returned from Paddan Aram, God appeared to him again and blessed him. And God appeared unto Jacob again, when he came out of Padanaram, and blessed him. |

그에게 이르시되 네 이름이 야곱이다마는 ㅈ네 이름을 다시는 야곱이라 부르지 않겠고 ㅊ이스라엘이 네 이름이 되리라 하시고 그가 그의 이름을 이스라엘이라 부르시고
God said to him, "Your name is Jacob, but you will no longer be called Jacob; your name will be Israel." So he named him Israel. And God said unto him, Thy name is Jacob: thy name shall not be called any more Jacob, but Israel shall be thy name: and he called his name Israel. |

그에게 이르시되 ㅋ나는 全能(전능)한 하나님이니라 ㅌ生育(생육)하며 蕃盛(번성)하라 ㅍ國民(국민)과 많은 國民(국민)이 네게서 나고 王(왕)들이
네 허리에서 나오리라
And God said to him, "I am God Almighty; be fruitful and increase in number. A nation and a community of nations will come from you, and kings will come from your body. And God said unto him, I am God Almighty: be fruitful and multiply; a nation and a company of nations shall be of thee, and kings shall come out of thy loins; |

ㅎ내가 아브라함과 이삭에게 준 땅을 네게 주고 내가 네 後孫(후손)에게도 그 땅을 주리라 하시고
The land I gave to Abraham and Isaac I also give to you, and I will give this land to your descendants after you." And the land which I gave Abraham and Isaac, to thee I will give it, and to thy seed after thee will I give the land. |

하나님이 ㅏ그와 말씀하시던 곳에서 그를 떠나 올라 가시는지라

야곱이 하나님의 自己(자기)와 말씀하시던 곳에 기둥 곧 ㅑ돌 기둥을 세우고 그 위에 奠祭物(전제물)을 붓고
또 그 위에 기름을 붓고
Jacob set up a stone pillar at the place where God had talked with him, and he poured out a drink offering on it; he also poured oil on it. And Jacob set up a pillar in the place where he talked with him, even a pillar of stone: and he poured a drink offering thereon, and he poured oil thereon. |

하나님이 自己(자기)와 말씀하시던 곳의 이름을 ㅓ벧엘이라 불렀더라

Jacob called the place where God had talked with him Bethel. And Jacob called the name of the place where God spake with him, Bethel. |

● 그들이 벧엘에서 發行(발행)하여 에브랏에 이르기까지 얼마 길을 隔(격)한 곳에서
라헬이 臨産(임산)하여 甚(심)히 辛苦(신고)하더니
Then they moved on from Bethel. While they were still some distance from Ephrath, Rachel began to give birth and had great difficulty. And they journeyed from Bethel; and there was but a little way to come to Ephrath: and Rachel travailed, and she had hard labour. |

그가 難産(난산)할 즈음에 産婆(산파)가 그에게 이르되 두려워말라 只今(지금) ㅕ그대가 또 得男(득남)하느니라 하매

ㅛ라헬이 죽으매 ㅜ에브랏 곧 베들레헴 길에 葬事(장사)되었고
So Rachel died and was buried on the way to Ephrath (that is, Bethlehem). And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem. |

야곱이 라헬의 墓(묘)에 ㅠ碑(비)를 세웠더니 至今(지금)까지 라헬의 墓碑(묘비)라 일컫더라
Over her tomb Jacob set up a pillar, and to this day that pillar marks Rachel's tomb. And Jacob set a pillar upon her grave: that is the pillar of Rachel's grave unto this day. |

빌하와 通姦(통간)하매 이스라엘이 이를 들었더라 ● 야곱의 아들은 열 둘이라 While Israel was living in that region, Reuben went in and slept with his father's concubine Bilhah, and Israel heard of it. Jacob had twelve sons: And it came to pass, when Israel dwelt in that land, that Reuben went and lay with Bilhah his father's concubine: and Israel heard it. Now the sons of Jacob were twelve: |

The sons of Rachel's maidservant Bilhah: Dan and Naphtali. And the sons of Bilhah, Rachel's handmaid; Dan, and Naphtali: |

레아의 女(여)종 실바의 所生(소생)은 갓과 아셀이니, 이들은 야곱의 아들들이요 밧단아람에서 그에게 낳은 者(자)더라
The sons of Leah's maidservant Zilpah: Gad and Asher. These were the sons of Jacob, who were born to him in Paddan Aram. And the sons of Zilpah, Leah's handmaid; Gad, and Asher: these are the sons of Jacob, which were born to him in Padanaram. |

● 야곱이 기럇아르바의 ㄱ마므레로 가서 그 아비 이삭에게 이르렀으니 ㄴ기럇아르바는 곧 아브라함과 이삭의 寓居(우거)하던 헤브론이더라
Jacob came home to his father Isaac in Mamre, near Kiriath Arba (that is, Hebron), where Abraham and Isaac had stayed. And Jacob came unto Isaac his father unto Mamre, unto the city of Arbah, which is Hebron, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned. |

이삭의 나이 一百(일백) 八十歲(팔십세)라
Isaac lived a hundred and eighty years. And the days of Isaac were an hundred and fourscore years. |

이삭이 나이 많고 늙어 氣運(기운)이 盡(진)하매 죽어 自己(자기) ㄷ列祖(열조)에게로 돌아가니 ㄹ그 아들 에서와 야곱이 그를 葬事(장사)하였더라
Then he breathed his last and died and was gathered to his people, old and full of years. And his sons Esau and Jacob buried him. And Isaac gave up the ghost, and died, and was gathered unto his people, being old and full of days: and his sons Esau and Jacob buried him. |
