ㅂ이스라엘 王(왕) 여호아하스의 아들 요아스 ㅅ二年(이년)에 유다 王(왕) 요아스의 아들 ㅇ아마샤가 王(왕)이 되니
In the second year of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel, Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah began to reign. In the second year of Joash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel reigned Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah. |

位(위)에 나아갈 때에 나이 二十五歲(이십오세)라 예루살렘에서 二十九(이십구) 年(년)을 治理(치리)하니라 그 母親(모친)의 이름은 여호앗단이라 예루살렘 사람이더라
He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem twenty-nine years. His mother's name was Jehoaddin; she was from Jerusalem. He was twenty and five years old when he began to reign, and reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jehoaddan of Jerusalem. |

아마샤가 여호와 보시기에 正直(정직)히 行(행)하였으나 그 祖上(조상) 다윗과는 같지 아니하였으며 그 父親(부친) 요아스의 行(행)한 대로 다 行(행)하였어도
He did what was right in the eyes of the LORD, but not as his father David had done. In everything he followed the example of his father Joash. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, yet not like David his father: he did according to all things as Joash his father did. |

ㅈ山堂(산당)을 除(제)하지 아니하였으므로 ㅊ百姓(백성)이 오히려 山堂(산당)에서 祭祀(제사)를 드리며 焚香(분향)하였더라
The high places, however, were not removed; the people continued to offer sacrifices and burn incense there. Howbeit the high places were not taken away: as yet the people did sacrifice and burnt incense on the high places. |

나라가 그 손에 ㅋ굳게 서매 ㅌ그 父王(부왕)을 죽인 臣僕(신복)들을 죽였으나
After the kingdom was firmly in his grasp, he executed the officials who had murdered his father the king. And it came to pass, as soon as the kingdom was confirmed in his hand, that he slew his servants which had slain the king his father. |

王(왕)을 죽인 者(자)의 子女(자녀)들은 죽이지 아니하였으니 이는 모세의 律法冊(율법책)에 記錄(기록)된대로 함이라 곧 여호와께서 命(명)하여 이르시기를 ㅍ子女(자녀)로 因(인)하여 아비를 죽이지 말 것이요 아비로 因(인)하여 子女(자녀)를 죽이지 말 것이라 오직 사람마다 自己(자기)의 罪(죄)로 因(인)하여 죽을 것이니라 하셨더라
Yet he did not put the sons of the assassins to death, in accordance with what is written in the Book of the Law of Moses where the LORD commanded: "Fathers shall not be put to death for their children, nor children put to death for their fathers; each is to die for his own sins." But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin. |

ㅎ아마샤가 ㅏ鹽谷(염곡)에서 에돔 사람 一萬(일만)을 죽이고 또 ㅑ셀라를 쳐서 取(취)하고 이름을 ㅓ욕드엘이라 하였더니 오늘까지 그러하니라
He was the one who defeated ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt and captured Sela in battle, calling it Joktheel, the name it has to this day. He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day. |

● ㅕ아마샤가 예후의 孫子(손자) 여호아하스의 아들 이스라엘 王(왕) 요아스에게 使者(사자)를 보내어 이르되 오라 우리가 서로 ㅗ對面(대면)하자 한지라
Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash son of Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, king of Israel, with the challenge: "Come, meet me face to face." Then Amaziah sent messengers to Jehoash, the son of Jehoahaz son of Jehu, king of Israel, saying, Come, let us look one another in the face. |

이스라엘 王(왕) 요아스가 유다 王(왕) 아마샤에게 보내어 이르되 ㅛ레바논 가시나무가 레바논 柏香木(백향목)에게 보내어 이르기를 네 딸을 내 아들들에게 주어 아내를 삼게 하라 하였더니 레바논 들짐승이 지나가다가 그 가시나무를 짓밟았느니라

But Jehoash king of Israel replied to Amaziah king of Judah: "A thistle in Lebanon sent a message to a cedar in Lebanon, 'Give your daughter to my son in marriage.' Then a wild beast in Lebanon came along and trampled the thistle underfoot. And Jehoash the king of Israel sent to Amaziah king of Judah, saying, The thistle that was in Lebanon sent to the cedar that was in Lebanon, saying, Give thy daughter to my son to wife: and there passed by a wild beast that was in Lebanon, and trode down the thistle. |

네가 ㅜ에돔을 쳐서 破(파)하였으므로 ㅠ마음이 驕慢(교만)하였으니 스스로 榮光(영광)을 삼아 宮(궁)에나 居(거)하라 어찌하여 禍(화)를 自取(자취)하여 너와 유다가 함께 亡(망)하고자 하느냐 하나
You have indeed defeated Edom and now you are arrogant. Glory in your victory, but stay at home! Why ask for trouble and cause your own downfall and that of Judah also?" Thou hast indeed smitten Edom, and thine heart hath lifted thee up: glory of this, and tarry at home: for why shouldest thou meddle to thy hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee? |

아마샤가 듣지 아니하므로 이스라엘 王(왕) 요아스가 올라와서 유다 王(왕) 아마샤로 더불어 유다의 으벧세메스에서 對面(대면)하였더니

Amaziah, however, would not listen, so Jehoash king of Israel attacked. He and Amaziah king of Judah faced each other at Beth Shemesh in Judah. But Amaziah would not hear. Therefore Jehoash king of Israel went up; and he and Amaziah king of Judah looked one another in the face at Bethshemesh, which belongeth to Judah. |

유다가 이스라엘 앞에서 敗(패)하여 이各其(각기) 帳幕(장막)으로 逃亡(도망)한지라

Judah was routed by Israel, and every man fled to his home. And Judah was put to the worse before Israel; and they fled every man to their tents. |

이스라엘 王(왕) 요아스가 벧세메스에서 아하시야의 孫子(손자) 요아스의 아들 유다 王(왕) 아마샤를 사로잡고 예루살렘에 이르러 예루살렘 城壁(성벽)을 ㅐ에브라임 門(문)에서부터 ㄱ城(성) 모퉁이 門(문)까지 四百(사백) 규빗을 헐고
Jehoash king of Israel captured Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Joash, the son of Ahaziah, at Beth Shemesh. Then Jehoash went to Jerusalem and broke down the wall of Jerusalem from the Ephraim Gate to the Corner Gate--a section about six hundred feet long. And Jehoash king of Israel took Amaziah king of Judah, the son of Jehoash the son of Ahaziah, at Bethshemesh, and came to Jerusalem, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem from the gate of Ephraim unto the corner gate, four hundred cubits. |

또 ㄴ여호와의 殿(전)과 王宮(왕궁) 곳간에 있는 金銀(금은)과 모든 器皿(기명)을 取(취)하고 또 사람을 볼모로 잡아가지고 사마리아로 돌아갔더라
He took all the gold and silver and all the articles found in the temple of the LORD and in the treasuries of the royal palace. He also took hostages and returned to Samaria. And he took all the gold and silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of the LORD, and in the treasures of the king's house, and hostages, and returned to Samaria. |

● ㄷ요아스의 남은 事蹟(사적)과 그 權力(권력)과 또 유다 王(왕) 아마샤와 서로 싸운 일은 이스라엘 王(왕) 歷代志略(역대지략)에 記錄(기록)되지 아니하였느냐
As for the other events of the reign of Jehoash, what he did and his achievements, including his war against Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel? Now the rest of the acts of Jehoash which he did, and his might, and how he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? |

요아스가 그 列祖(열조)와 함께 자매 이스라엘 王(왕)들과 사마리아에 함께 葬事(장사)되고 그 아들 여로보암이 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니라
Jehoash rested with his fathers and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel. And Jeroboam his son succeeded him as king. And Jehoash slept with his fathers, and was buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel; and Jeroboam his son reigned in his stead. |
17 |
● ㄹ이스라엘 王(왕) 여호아하스의 아들 요아스가 죽은 後(후)에도 유다 王(왕) 요아스의 아들 아마샤가 十五年(십오년)을 生存(생존)하였더라
Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah lived for fifteen years after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel. And Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah lived after the death of Jehoash son of Jehoahaz king of Israel fifteen years. |

아마샤의 남은 行蹟(행적)은 유다 王(왕) 歷代志略(역대지략)에 記錄(기록)되지 아니하였느냐
As for the other events of Amaziah's reign, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah? And the rest of the acts of Amaziah, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? |

예루살렘에서 무리가 저를 謀叛(모반)한 故(고)로 저가 ㅁ라기스로 逃亡(도망)하였더니
謀叛(모반)한 무리가 사람을 라기스로 따라 보내어 저를 거기서 죽이게 하고

그 屍體(시체)를 말에 실어다가 예루살렘에서 그 列祖(열조)와 함께 다윗城(성)에 葬事(장사)하니라
He was brought back by horse and was buried in Jerusalem with his fathers, in the City of David. And they brought him on horses: and he was buried at Jerusalem with his fathers in the city of David. |

유다 온 百姓(백성)이 아사랴로 그 父親(부친) 아마샤를 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)을 삼으니 때에 나이 十六歲(십륙세)라
Then all the people of Judah took Azariah, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in place of his father Amaziah. And all the people of Judah took Azariah, which was sixteen years old, and made him king instead of his father Amaziah. |
22 |
아마샤가 그 列祖(열조)와 함께 잔 後(후)에 아사랴가 ㅂ엘랏을 建築(건축)하여 유다에 돌렸더라
He was the one who rebuilt Elath and restored it to Judah after Amaziah rested with his fathers. He built Elath, and restored it to Judah, after that the king slept with his fathers. |
23 |
● 유다 王(왕) 요아스의 아들 아마샤 十五年(십오년)에 이스라엘 王(왕) 요아스의 아들 여로보암이 사마리아에서 王(왕)이 되어 四十一年(사십일년)을 位(위)에
있으며
In the fifteenth year of Amaziah son of Joash king of Judah, Jeroboam son of Jehoash king of Israel became king in Samaria, and he reigned forty-one years. In the fifteenth year of Amaziah the son of Joash king of Judah Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel began to reign in Samaria, and reigned forty and one years. |

여호와 보시기에 惡(악)을 行(행)하여 ㅅ이스라엘로 犯罪(범죄)케 한 느밧의 아들 여로보암의 모든 罪(죄)에서 떠나지 아니하였더라

He did evil in the eyes of the LORD and did not turn away from any of the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, which he had caused Israel to commit. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD: he departed not from all the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin. |

이스라엘 하나님 여호와께서 그 종 ㅇ가드헤벨 아밋대의 아들 先知者(선지자) ㅈ요나로 하신 말씀과 같이 ㅊ여로보암이 이스라엘 地境(지경)을
恢復(회복)하되 ㅋ하맛 어귀에서부터 ㅌ아라바 바다까지 하였으니
He was the one who restored the boundaries of Israel from Lebo Hamath to the Sea of the Arabah, in accordance with the word of the LORD, the God of Israel, spoken through his servant Jonah son of Amittai, the prophet from Gath Hepher. He restored the coast of Israel from the entering of Hamath unto the sea of the plain, according to the word of the LORD God of Israel, which he spake by the hand of his servant Jonah, the son of Amittai, the prophet, which was of Gathhepher. |

이는 여호와께서 ㅍ이스라엘의 苦難(고난)이 甚(심)하여 ㅎ매인 者(자)도 없고 놓인 者(자)도 없고 이스라엘을 도울 者(자)도 없음을 보셨고
The LORD had seen how bitterly everyone in Israel, whether slave or free, was suffering; there was no one to help them. For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel. |

ㅏ여호와께서 또 이스라엘의 이름을 塗抹(도말)하여 天下(천하)에 없이 하겠다고도 아니하셨으므로 요아스의 아들 여로보암의 손으로
救援(구원)하심이었더라
And since the LORD had not said he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven, he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam son of Jehoash. And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash. |

● 여로보암의 남은 事蹟(사적)과 모든 行(행)한 일과 그 權力(권력)으로 싸운 일과 ㅑ다메섹을 恢復(회복)한 일과 以前(이전)에 유다에 屬(속)하였던
ㅓ하맛을 이스라엘에 돌린 일은 이스라엘 王(왕) 歷代志略(역대지략)에 記錄(기록)되지 아니하였느냐
As for the other events of Jeroboam's reign, all he did, and his military achievements, including how he recovered for Israel both Damascus and Hamath, which had belonged to Yaudi, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Israel? Now the rest of the acts of Jeroboam, and all that he did, and his might, how he warred, and how he recovered Damascus, and Hamath, which belonged to Judah, for Israel, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel? |

여로보암이 그 列祖(열조) 이스라엘 王(왕)들과 함께 자고 그 아들 스가랴가 代身(대신)하여 王(왕)이 되니라
Jeroboam rested with his fathers, the kings of Israel. And Zechariah his son succeeded him as king. And Jeroboam slept with his fathers, even with the kings of Israel; and Zachariah his son reigned in his stead. |
