Now, brothers, about times and dates we do not need to write to you, But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. |

ㅁ主(주)의 날이 밤에 盜賊(도적)같이 이를 줄을 너희 自身(자신)이 仔細(자세)히 앎이라
for you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. |

저희가 平安(평안)하다, 安全(안전)하다 할 그 때에 ㅂ孕胎(잉태)된 女子(여자)에게 解産(해산) 苦痛(고통)이 이름과 같이 ㅅ滅亡(멸망)이 忽然(홀연)히
저희에게 이르리니 決斷(결단)코 避(피)하지 못하리라
While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. |

兄弟(형제)들아 너희는 ㅇ어두움에 있지 아니하매 그 날이 盜賊(도적)같이 너희에게 臨(임)하지 못하리니

But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. |

너희는 다 ㅈ빛의 아들이요 낮의
아들이라 우리가 밤이나 어두움에 屬(속)하지

You are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. |

그러므로 우리는 ㅊ다른 이들과 같이 자지 말고 오직 ㅋ깨어 ㅌ謹愼(근신)할찌라
So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. |

자는 者(자)들은 밤에 자고 醉(취)하는 者(자)들은 ㅍ밤에 醉(취)하되
For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. |

우리는 낮에 屬(속)하였으니 謹愼(근신)하여 ㅎ믿음과 사랑의
ㅏ胸背(흉배)를 붙이고 救援(구원)의 所望(소망)의 투구를 쓰자
But since we belong to the day, let us be self-controlled, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. |

하나님이 우리를 세우심은 ㅑ怒(노)하심에 이르게 하심이 아니요 오직 우리 主(주) 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 ㅓ救援(구원)을 얻게
하신 것이라
For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, |

ㅕ예수께서 우리를 爲(위)하여 죽으사 우리로 하여금 깨든지 자든지 自己(자기)와 함께 살게 하려 하셨느니라
He died for us so that, whether we are awake or asleep, we may live together with him. Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. |

그러므로 ㅗ彼此(피차) 勸勉(권면)하고 彼此(피차)
德(덕)을 세우기를 너희가 하는 것같이 하라

● 兄弟(형제)들아 우리가 너희에게 求(구)하노니 ㅛ너희 가운데서 受苦(수고)하고 ㅜ主(주) 안에서 너희를 다스리며 勸(권)하는 者(자)들을 너희가 알고
Now we ask you, brothers, to respect those who work hard among you, who are over you in the Lord and who admonish you. And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; |

저의 役事(역사)로 말미암아 사랑 안에서 가장 貴(귀)히 여기며 ㅠ너희끼리 和睦(화목)하라

또 兄弟(형제)들아 너희를 勸勉(권면)하노니 으規模(규모)없이
者(자)들을 勸戒(권계)하며 이마음이 弱(약)한 者(자)들을 安慰(안위)하고
ㅐ힘이 없는 者(자)들을 붙들어 주며 ㄱ모든 사람을 對(대)하여 오래 참으라
And we urge you, brothers, warn those who are idle, encourage the timid, help the weak, be patient with everyone. Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. |

삼가 누가 ㄴ누구에게든지 惡(악)으로 惡(악)을 갚지 말게 하고 오직 彼此(피차) 對(대)하든지 모든 사람을 對(대)하든지 ㄷ恒常(항상) 善(선)을 좇으라
Make sure that nobody pays back wrong for wrong, but always try to be kind to each other and to everyone else. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. |

保全(보전)되기를 願(원)하노라
May God himself, the God of peace, sanctify you through and through. May your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
