이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 ㅓ온 會衆(회중)이 엘림에서 떠나 엘림과 시내山(산) 사이 신 曠野(광야)에 이르니 애굽에서 나온 後(후) 第(제) 二月(이월) 十五日(십오일)이라
The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had come out of Egypt. And they took their journey from Elim, and all the congregation of the children of Israel came unto the wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after their departing out of the land of Egypt. |

이스라엘 온 會衆(회중)이 그 曠野(광야)에서 ㅕ모세와 아론을 怨望(원망)하여
In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron. And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness: |

그들에게 이르되 ㅗ우리가 애굽 땅에서 ㅛ고기 가마 곁에
앉았던 때와 떡을 배불리 먹던 때에 여호와의 손에 죽었더면 좋았을 것을 너희가 이 曠野(광야)로 우리를 引導(인도)하여 내어 이 온 會衆(회중)으로 주려 죽게 하는도다
The Israelites said to them, "If only we had died by the LORD'S hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death." And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. |

● 때에 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 보라 내가 너희를 爲(위)하여 하늘에서
ㅜ糧食(양식)을 비 같이 내리리니 百姓(백성)이 나가서 日用(일용)할 것을 날마다 거둘 것이라 이같이 하여 그들이 나의 律法(율법)을 遵行(준행)하나 아니하나 내가 ㅠ試驗(시험)하리라
Then the LORD said to Moses, "I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions. Then said the LORD unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no. |

第(제) 六日(육일)에는 그들이 그 거둔 것을 豫備(예비)할지니 날마다 거두던 것의 으갑절이 되리라

On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days." And it shall come to pass, that on the sixth day they shall prepare that which they bring in; and it shall be twice as much as they gather daily. |

모세와 아론이 온 이스라엘 子孫(자손)에게 이르되 저녁이 되면 너희가 이여호와께서 너희를 애굽
땅에서 引導(인도)하여 내셨음을 ㅐ알 것이요
So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, "In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt, And Moses and Aaron said unto all the children of Israel, At even, then ye shall know that the LORD hath brought you out from the land of Egypt: |

아침에는 너희가 ㄱ여호와의 榮光(영광)을 보리니 이는 여호와께서 너희가 自己(자기)를 向(향)하여 怨望(원망)함을 들으셨음이라 우리가 ㄴ누구관대 너희가 우리를
對(대)하여 怨望(원망)하느냐
and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?" And in the morning, then ye shall see the glory of the LORD; for that he heareth your murmurings against the LORD: and what are we, that ye murmur against us? |

모세가 또 가로되 여호와께서 저녁에는 너희에게 고기를 주어 먹이시고 아침에는 떡으로 배불리시리니 이는 여호와께서 自己(자기)를 向(향)하여 너희의 怨望(원망)하는 그 말을 들으셨음이니라
ㄷ우리가 누구냐 너희의 怨望(원망)은 우리를 向(향)하여 함이 아니요 ㄹ여호와를 向(향)하여 함이로다
Moses also said, "You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD." And Moses said, This shall be, when the LORD shall give you in the evening flesh to eat, and in the morning bread to the full; for that the LORD heareth your murmurings which ye murmur against him: and what are we? your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD. |

모세가 또 ㅁ아론에게 이르되 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 온 會衆(회중)에게 命(명)하기를 ㅂ여호와께 가까이 나아오라 여호와께서 너희의 怨望(원망)함을 들으셨느니라 하라
Then Moses told Aaron, "Say to the entire Israelite community, 'Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling.'" And Moses spake unto Aaron, Say unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, Come near before the LORD: for he hath heard your murmurings. |

아론이 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 온 會衆(회중)에게 말하매 그들이 曠野(광야)를 바라보니 여호와의 榮光(영광)이 구름 속에 나타나더라
While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud. And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the LORD appeared in the cloud. |

여호와께서 모세에게 일러 가라사대
The LORD said to Moses, And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, |
12 |
ㅅ내가 이스라엘 子孫(자손)의 怨望(원망)함을 들었노라 그들에게 告(고)하여 이르기를 너희가 ㅇ해 질 때에는 고기를 먹고 ㅈ아침에는 떡으로
배부르리니 나는 여호와 너희의 하나님인 줄 알리라 하라 하시니라
I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them, 'At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.' I have heard the murmurings of the children of Israel: speak unto them, saying, At even ye shall eat flesh, and in the morning ye shall be filled with bread; and ye shall know that I am the LORD your God. |

● 저녁에는 ㅊ메추라기가 와서 陣(진)에 덮이고 아침에는 ㅋ이슬이 陣(진)
四面(사면)에 있더니
That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp. And it came to pass, that at even the quails came up, and covered the camp: and in the morning the dew lay round about the host. |

그 이슬이 마른 後(후)에 曠野(광야) 地面(지면)에 작고 둥글며 서리 같이 細微(세미)한 것이 있는지라
When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. |

ㅌ이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 보고 그것이 무엇인지 알지 못하여 서로 이르되 이것이 ㅍ무엇이냐 하니 모세가 그들에게 이르되 ㅎ이는 여호와께서 너희에게
주어 먹게 하신 糧食(양식)이라
When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, "What is it?" For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat. And when the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, It is manna: for they wist not what it was. And Moses said unto them, This is the bread which the LORD hath given you to eat. |

여호와께서 이같이 命(명)하시기를 너희 各(각) 사람의 食糧(식량)대로 이것을 거둘지니 곧 너희 人數(인수)대로
每名(매명)에 ㅏ한 오멜씩 取(취)하되 各(각) 사람이 그 帳幕(장막)에 있는 者(자)들을 爲(위)하여 取(취)할찌니라 하셨느니라

This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Each one is to gather as much as he needs. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.'" This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded, Gather of it every man according to his eating, an omer for every man, according to the number of your persons; take ye every man for them which are in his tents. |

이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 그같이 하였더니 그 거둔 것이 많기도 하고 적기도 하나
The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little. And the children of Israel did so, and gathered, some more, some less. |
18 |
오멜로 되어 본즉 ㅑ많이 거둔 者(자)도 남음이 없고 적게 거둔 者(자)도 不足(부족)함이 없이 各其(각기) 食糧(식량)대로 거두었더라

And when they measured it by the omer, he who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as he needed. And when they did mete it with an omer, he that gathered much had nothing over, and he that gathered little had no lack; they gathered every man according to his eating. |

모세가 그들에게 이르기를 아무든지 아침까지 그것을 남겨 두지말라 하였으나
Then Moses said to them, "No one is to keep any of it until morning." And Moses said, Let no man leave of it till the morning. |

그들이 모세의 말을 聽從(청종)치 아니하고 더러는 아침까지 두었더니 ㅓ벌레가 생기고 냄새가 난지라 모세가 그들에게 怒(노)하니라

However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them. Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto Moses; but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and stank: and Moses was wroth with them. |

● 무리가 아침마다 各其(각기) 食糧(식량)대로 거두었고 해가 뜨겁게 쪼이면 그것이 스러졌더라
Each morning everyone gathered as much as he needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away. And they gathered it every morning, every man according to his eating: and when the sun waxed hot, it melted. |

ㅕ第(제) 六日(육일)에는 各(각) 사람이 갑절의 植物(식물) 곧 하나에 두 오멜씩 거둔지라 會衆(회중)의 모든 頭目(두목)이 와서 모세에게 告(고)하매

On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much--two omers for each person--and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses. And it came to pass, that on the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers for one man: and all the rulers of the congregation came and told Moses. |

모세가 그들에게 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 來日(내일)은 休息(휴식)이니 여호와께 거룩한 ㅗ安息日(안식일)이라 너희가 구울 것은 굽고 삶을 것은 삶고 그 나머지는 다 너희를 爲(위)하여 아침까지 看守(간수)하라
He said to them, "This is what the LORD commanded: 'Tomorrow is to be a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.'" And he said unto them, This is that which the LORD hath said, To morrow is the rest of the holy sabbath unto the LORD: bake that which ye will bake to day, and seethe that ye will seethe; and that which remaineth over lay up for you to be kept until the morning. |

그들이 모세의 命(명)대로 아침까지 看守(간수)하였으나 ㅛ냄새도 나지 아니하고 벌레도 생기지 아니한지라

So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it. And they laid it up till the morning, as Moses bade: and it did not stink, neither was there any worm therein. |

모세가 가로되 오늘은 그것을 먹으라 오늘은 여호와께 安息日(안식일)인즉 오늘은 너희가 그것을 들에서 얻지 못하리라
Eat it today, Moses said, "because today is a Sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today. And Moses said, Eat that to day; for to day is a sabbath unto the LORD: to day ye shall not find it in the field. |
26 |
六日(육일) 동안은 너희가 그것을 거두되 第(제) 七日(칠일)은 安息日(안식일)인즉 그날에는 없으리라 하였으나
Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any." Six days ye shall gather it; but on the seventh day, which is the sabbath, in it there shall be none. |
27 |
第(제) 七日(칠일)에 百姓(백성) 中(중) 더러가 거두러 나갔다가 얻지 못하니라
Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none. And it came to pass, that there went out some of the people on the seventh day for to gather, and they found none. |
28 |
여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 어느 때까지 ㅜ너희가 내 誡命(계명)과 내 律法(율법)을 지키지 아니하려느냐
Then the LORD said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions? And the LORD said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws? |

볼찌어다 여호와가 너희에게 安息日(안식일)을 줌으로 第(제) 六日(육일)에는 이틀 糧食(양식)을 너희에게 주는 것이니 너희는 各其(각기) 處所(처소)에 있고 第(제) 七日(칠일)에는 아무도 그
處所(처소)에서 나오지 말찌니라
Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where he is on the seventh day; no one is to go out." See, for that the LORD hath given you the sabbath, therefore he giveth you on the sixth day the bread of two days; abide ye every man in his place, let no man go out of his place on the seventh day. |

그러므로 百姓(백성)이 ㅠ第(제) 七日(칠일)에 安息(안식)하니라

● 이스라엘 族屬(족속)이 그 이름을 1)으만나라 하였으며 2)이깟씨 같고도 희고 맛은 꿀 섞은 菓子(과자) 같았더라
The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey. And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey. |

모세가 가로되 여호와께서 이같이 命(명)하시기를 이것을 오멜에 채워서 너의 代代(대대) 後孫(후손)을 爲(위)하여 看守(간수)하라 이는 내가 너희를 애굽 땅에서 引導(인도)하여 낼 때에 曠野(광야)에서 너희에게 먹인 糧食(양식)을 그들에게 보이기
爲(위)함이니라 하셨다 하고
Moses said, "This is what the LORD has commanded: 'Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.'" And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commandeth, Fill an omer of it to be kept for your generations; that they may see the bread wherewith I have fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt. |

또 아론에게 이르되 항아리를 가져다가 그 속에 만나 ㅐ한 오멜을 담아 여호와 앞에 두어 너희 代代(대대)로 看守(간수)하라

So Moses said to Aaron, "Take a jar and put an omer of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be kept for the generations to come." And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omer full of manna therein, and lay it up before the LORD, to be kept for your generations. |

아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 命(명)하신대로 그것을 ㄱ證據板(증거판) 앞에 두어 看守(간수)하게 하였고
As the LORD commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna in front of the Testimony, that it might be kept. As the LORD commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept. |
35 |
이스라엘 子孫(자손)이 사람 사는 땅에 이르기까지 四十年(사십년) 동안 만나를 먹되 곧 ㄴ가나안 地境(지경)에
이르기까지 그들이 ㄷ만나를 먹었더라
The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan. And the children of Israel did eat manna forty years, until they came to a land inhabited; they did eat manna, until they came unto the borders of the land of Canaan. |
36 |
오멜은 ㄹ에바 十分(십분)의 一(일)이더라
(An omer is one tenth of an ephah.) Now an omer is the tenth part of an ephah. |
