For I do not want you to be ignorant of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud and that they all passed through the sea. Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; |

They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; |

다 같은 ㄴ神靈(신령)한 植物(식물)을 ㄷ먹으며
They all ate the same spiritual food And did all eat the same spiritual meat; |

ㄹ다 같은 神靈(신령)한 飮料(음료)를 마셨으니 이는 저희를 따르는 神靈(신령)한 磐石(반석)으로부터 마셨으매 그 磐石(반석)은 곧 그리스도시라

and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. |

그러나 저희의 多數(다수)를 하나님이 기뻐하지 아니하신故(고)로 저희가 ㅁ曠野(광야)에서 滅亡(멸망)을 받았느니라
Nevertheless, God was not pleased with most of them; their bodies were scattered over the desert. But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. |

그런 일은 우리의 거울이 되어 우리로 하여금 ㅂ저희가 惡(악)을 즐겨한 것 같이 즐겨하는 者(자)가 되지 않게 하려 함이니
Now these things occurred as examples to keep us from setting our hearts on evil things as they did. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. |

ㅅ저희 中(중)에 어떤 이들과 같이 ㅇ너희는 偶像(우상) 崇拜(숭배)하는 者(자)가 되지 말라 記錄(기록)된 바 ㅈ百姓(백성)이 앉아서 먹고
마시며 일어나서 뛰논다 함과 같으니라
Do not be idolaters, as some of them were; as it is written: "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in pagan revelry." Neither be ye idolaters, as were some of them; as it is written, The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play. |

저희 中(중)에 ㅊ어떤 이들이 姦淫(간음)하다가
ㅋ하루에 二萬(이만) 三千(삼천) 名(명)이 죽었나니 우리는 ㅌ저희와 같이 姦淫(간음)하지 말자
We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did--and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. Neither let us commit fornication, as some of them committed, and fell in one day three and twenty thousand. |

저희 中(중)에 ㅍ어떤 이들이 主(주)를 試驗(시험)하다가 ㅎ뱀에게 滅亡(멸망)하였나니 우리는 저희와 같이 試驗(시험)하지 말자
We should not test the Lord, as some of them did--and were killed by snakes. Neither let us tempt Christ, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents. |

저희 中(중)에 ㅏ어떤 이들이 怨望(원망)하다가 ㅑ滅亡(멸망)시키는 者(자)에게 ㅓ滅亡(멸망)하였나니 너희는 저희와 같이 怨望(원망)하지 말라
And do not grumble, as some of them did--and were killed by the destroying angel. Neither murmur ye, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed of the destroyer. |

저희에게 當(당)한 이런 일이 거울이 되고 또한 ㅕ末世(말세)를 만난 우리의 ㅗ警戒(경계)로 記錄(기록)하였느니라
These things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. |

그런즉 ㅛ선 줄로 생각하는 者(자)는 넘어질까 操心(조심)하라
So, if you think you are standing firm, be careful that you don't fall! Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall. |
13 |
사람이 堪當(감당)할 試驗(시험) 밖에는 너희에게 當(당)한 것이 없나니 오직 ㅜ하나님은 미쁘사 ㅠ너희가 堪當(감당)치 못할 試驗(시험) 當(당)함을 許諾(허락)지
아니하시고 試驗(시험) 當(당)할 즈음에 또한 避(피)할 길을 내사 너희로 能(능)히 堪當(감당)하게 하시느니라
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it. There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. |

ㅐ우리가 祝福(축복)하는 바 祝福(축복)의 盞(잔)은 그리스도의 피에 參與(참여)함이 아니며
ㄱ우리가 떼는 떡은 그리스도의 몸에 參與(참여)함이 아니냐
Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ? The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? |

떡이 하나요 많은 우리가 ㄴ한 몸이니 이는 우리가 다 한 떡에 參與(참여)함이라
Because there is one loaf, we, who are many, are one body, for we all partake of the one loaf. For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread. |

ㄷ肉身(육신)을 따라 난 이스라엘을 보라 ㄹ祭物(제물)을 먹는 者(자)들이 祭壇(제단)에 參與(참여)하는 者(자)들이 아니냐
Consider the people of Israel: Do not those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar? Behold Israel after the flesh: are not they which eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? |

그런즉 내가 무엇을 말하느뇨 偶像(우상)의 祭物(제물)은 무엇이며 ㅁ偶像(우상)은 무엇이라 하느뇨

大抵(대저) ㅂ異邦人(이방인)의 祭祀(제사)하는 것은 ㅅ鬼神(귀신)에게 하는 것이요 하나님께 祭祀(제사)하는 것이 아니니 나는 너희가
鬼神(귀신)과 交際(교제)하는 者(자) 되기를 願(원)치 아니하노라
No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils. |

ㅇ너희가 主(주)의 盞(잔)과 ㅈ鬼神(귀신)의 盞(잔)을 兼(겸)하여 마시지 못하고 主(주)의 床(상)과
ㅊ鬼神(귀신)의 床(상)에 兼(겸)하여 參與(참여)치 못하리라
You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons too; you cannot have a part in both the Lord's table and the table of demons. Ye cannot drink the cup of the Lord, and the cup of devils: ye cannot be partakers of the Lord's table, and of the table of devils. |

그러면 ㅋ우리가 主(주)를 怒(노)여워하시게 하겠느냐 ㅌ우리가 主(주)보다 强(강)한 者(자)냐
Are we trying to arouse the Lord's jealousy? Are we stronger than he? Do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? are we stronger than he? |

● ㅍ모든 것이 可(가)하나 모든 것이 有益(유익)한 것이 아니요 모든 것이 可(가)하나 모든 것이 德(덕)을 세우는 것이 아니니
Everything is permissible--but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible"--but not everything is constructive. All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not. |

누구든지 ㅎ自己(자기)의 有益(유익)을 求(구)치 말고 남의 有益(유익)을 求(구)하라
Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others. Let no man seek his own, but every man another's wealth. |

ㅏ무릇 市場(시장)에서 파는 것은 良心(양심)을 爲(위)하여 묻지 말고 먹으라

But if anyone says to you, "This has been offered in sacrifice," then do not eat it, both for the sake of the man who told you and for conscience' sake-- But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that shewed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof: |

내가 말한 良心(양심)은 ㅕ너희의 것이 아니요 남의 것이니 ㅗ어찌하여 내 自由(자유)가 남의 良心(양심)으로 말미암아 判斷(판단)을 받으리요
the other man's conscience, I mean, not yours. For why should my freedom be judged by another's conscience? Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: for why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience? |

萬一(만일) 내가 感謝(감사)함으로 參與(참여)하면 어찌하여 ㅛ내가 感謝(감사)하다 하는 것에 對(대)하여 誹謗(비방)을 받으리요
If I take part in the meal with thankfulness, why am I denounced because of something I thank God for? For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks? |

그런즉 너희가 먹든지 마시든지 ㅜ무엇을 하든지 다 하나님의 榮光(영광)을 爲(위)하여 하라
So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. |

유대人(인)에게나 헬라人(인)에게나 ㅠ하나님의 敎會(교회)에나
으거치는 者(자)가 되지 말고
Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God-- Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God: |

이나와 같이 모든 일에 모든 사람을 기쁘게 하여 ㅐ나의 有益(유익)을 求(구)치 아니하고 많은 사람의 有益(유익)을 求(구)하여 저희로 救援(구원)을 얻게 하라
even as I try to please everybody in every way. For I am not seeking my own good but the good of many, so that they may be saved. 1CO Even as I please all men in all things, not seeking mine own profit, but the profit of many, that they may be saved. |
