Then the whole assembly rose and led him off to Pilate. And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate. |

告訴(고소)하여 가로되 우리가 이 사람을 보매 우리 ㅈ百姓(백성)을 迷惑(미혹)하고 ㅊ가이사에게 ㅋ稅(세) 바치는 것을 禁(금)하며 自稱(자칭)
ㅌ王(왕) 그리스도라 하더이다 하니
And they began to accuse him, saying, "We have found this man subverting our nation. He opposes payment of taxes to Caesar and claims to be Christ, a king." And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King. |

ㅍ빌라도가 예수께 물어 가로되 ㅎ네가 유대인의 王(왕)이냐 對答(대답)하여 가라사대 ㅏ네 말이 옳도다
So Pilate asked Jesus, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied. And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest it. |

빌라도가 大祭司長(대제사장)들과 무리에게 이르되 ㅑ내가 보니 이 사람에게 罪(죄)가 없도다 하니
Then Pilate announced to the chief priests and the crowd, "I find no basis for a charge against this man." Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man. |

무리가 더욱 굳세게 말하되 저가 온 유대에서 가르치고 ㅓ갈릴리에서부터 始作(시작)하여 여기까지 와서 百姓(백성)을 騷動(소동)케 하나이다
But they insisted, "He stirs up the people all over Judea by his teaching. He started in Galilee and has come all the way here." And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place. |

빌라도가 듣고 묻되 저가 갈릴리 사람이냐 하여
On hearing this, Pilate asked if the man was a Galilean. When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean. |

ㅕ헤롯의 管轄(관할)에 屬(속)한 줄을 알고 헤롯에게 보내니 때에 헤롯이 예루살렘에 있더라

When he learned that Jesus was under Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem at that time. And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time. |

● 헤롯이 예수를 보고 甚(심)히 기뻐하니 이는 그의 ㅗ所聞(소문)을 들었으므로 ㅛ보고자 한 지 오래였고 또한 무엇이나
1)ㅜ異蹟(이적) 行(행)하심을 볼까 바랐던 緣故(연고)러라
When Herod saw Jesus, he was greatly pleased, because for a long time he had been wanting to see him. From what he had heard about him, he hoped to see him perform some miracle. And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him. |

여러 말로 물으나 아무 말도 對答(대답)지 아니하시니
He plied him with many questions, but Jesus gave him no answer. Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing. |

大祭司長(대제사장)들과 書記官(서기관)들이 서서 힘써 告訴(고소)하더라
The chief priests and the teachers of the law were standing there, vehemently accusing him. And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him. |
11 |
헤롯이 그 軍兵(군병)들과 함께 ㅠ예수를 업신여기며 으戱弄(희롱)하고 이빛난 옷을 입혀 빌라도에게 도로 보내니
Then Herod and his soldiers ridiculed and mocked him. Dressing him in an elegant robe, they sent him back to Pilate. And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate. |

ㅐ헤롯과 빌라도가 前(전)에는 怨讐(원수)이었으나 當日(당일)에 서로 親舊(친구)가 되니라
That day Herod and Pilate became friends--before this they had been enemies. And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves. |

● 빌라도가 大祭司長(대제사장)들과 ㄱ官員(관원)들과 百姓(백성)을 불러 모으고

이르되 너희가 이 사람을 ㄴ百姓(백성)을 迷惑(미혹)하는 者(자)라 하여 내게 끌어왔도다 보라 내가 너희 앞에서 ㄷ事實(사실)하였으되 너희의 告訴(고소)하는 일에 對(대)하여 이 사람에게 ㄹ罪(죄)를 찾지 못하였고
and said to them, "You brought me this man as one who was inciting the people to rebellion. I have examined him in your presence and have found no basis for your charges against him. Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined him before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him: |

헤롯이 또한 그렇게 하여 저를 ㅁ우리에게 도로 보내었도다 보라 저의 行(행)한 것은 죽일 일이 없느니라

Neither has Herod, for he sent him back to us; as you can see, he has done nothing to deserve death. No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him. |

With one voice they cried out, "Away with this man! Release Barabbas to us!" And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this man, and release unto us Barabbas: |

이 바라바는 城中(성중)에서 일어난 民亂(민란)과 ㅈ殺人(살인)을 因(인)하여 獄(옥)에 갇힌 者(자)러라

빌라도는 예수를 놓고자 하여 다시 저희에게 말하되
Wanting to release Jesus, Pilate appealed to them again. Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them. |
21 |
저희는 소리질러 가로되 저를 十字架(십자가)에 못박게 하소서 十字架(십자가)에 못박게 하소서 하는지라
But they kept shouting, "Crucify him! Crucify him!" But they cried, saying, Crucify him, crucify him. |
22 |
빌라도가 세 번째 말하되 이 사람이 ㅊ무슨 惡(악)한 일을 하였느냐 ㅋ나는 그 죽일 罪(죄)를 찾지 못하였나니 ㅌ때려서 놓으리라한대
For the third time he spoke to them: "Why? What crime has this man committed? I have found in him no grounds for the death penalty. Therefore I will have him punished and then release him." And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let him go. |

저희가 큰 소리로 재촉하여 十字架(십자가)에 못 박기를 求(구)하니 저희의 소리가 이긴지라
But with loud shouts they insistently demanded that he be crucified, and their shouts prevailed. And they were instant with loud voices, requiring that he might be crucified. And the voices of them and of the chief priests prevailed. |

이에 빌라도가 저희의 求(구)하는 대로 하기를 言渡(언도)하고
So Pilate decided to grant their demand. And Pilate gave sentence that it should be as they required. |
25 |
저희의 求(구)하는 者(자) 곧 ㅍ民亂(민란)과 殺人(살인)을 因(인)하여 獄(옥)에 갇힌 者(자)를 놓고 ㅎ예수를 넘겨 주어 저희 뜻대로 하게 하니라
He released the man who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, the one they asked for, and surrendered Jesus to their will. And he released unto them him that for sedition and murder was cast into prison, whom they had desired; but he delivered Jesus to their will. |

● 저희가 ㅏ예수를 끌고 갈 때에 시몬이라는 구레네 사람이 시골로서 오는 것을 잡아 그에게 十字架(십자가)를 지워 예수를 좇게 하더라
As they led him away, they seized Simon from Cyrene, who was on his way in from the country, and put the cross on him and made him carry it behind Jesus. And as they led him away, they laid hold upon one Simon, a Cyrenian, coming out of the country, and on him they laid the cross, that he might bear it after Jesus. |
27 |
또 百姓(백성)과 및 그를 爲(위)하여 ㅑ가슴을 치며 슬피 우는 女子(여자)의 큰 무리가 따라 오는지라
A large number of people followed him, including women who mourned and wailed for him. And there followed him a great company of people, and of women, which also bewailed and lamented him. |

예수께서 돌이켜 그들을 向(향)하여 가라사대 ㅓ예루살렘의 딸들아 나를 爲(위)하여 울지 말고 너희와 너희 子女(자녀)를 爲(위)하여 울라

보라 ㅕ날이 이르면 사람이 말하기를 ㅗ受胎(수태) 못하는 이와 解産(해산)하지 못한 배와 먹이지 못한 젖이 福(복)이 있다 하리라
For the time will come when you will say, 'Blessed are the barren women, the wombs that never bore and the breasts that never nursed!' For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck. |
30 |
ㅛ그 때에 사람이 山(산)들을 對(대)하여 우리 위에 무너지라 하며 작은 山(산)들을 對(대)하여 우리를 덮으라 하리라
Then "'they will say to the mountains, "Fall on us!" and to the hills, "Cover us!"' Then shall they begin to say to the mountains, Fall on us; and to the hills, Cover us. |
31 |
ㅜ푸른 나무에도 ㅠ이같이 하거든 마른 나무에는 어떻게 되리요 하시니라
For if men do these things when the tree is green, what will happen when it is dry?" For if they do these things in a green tree, what shall be done in the dry? |
32 |
또 으다른 두 行惡者(행악자)도 死刑(사형)을 받게 되어 예수와 함께 끌려 가니라
Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. And there were also two other, malefactors, led with him to be put to death. |
33 |
이骸骨(해골)이라 하는 곳에 이르러 거기서 예수를 十字架(십자가)에 못 박고 두 行惡者(행악자)도 그렇게 하니 하나는 右便(우편)에, 하나는 左便(좌편)에 있더라
When they came to the place called the Skull, there they crucified him, along with the criminals--one on his right, the other on his left. And when they were come to the place, which is called Calvary, there they crucified him, and the malefactors, one on the right hand, and the other on the left. |

이에 3)예수께서 가라사대 아버지여 ㅐ저희를 赦(사)하여 주옵소서 ㄱ自己(자기)의 하는 것을 알지 못함이니이다 하시더라 저희가
ㄴ그의 옷을 나눠 제비 뽑을쌔
Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing." And they divided up his clothes by casting lots. Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots. |
35 |
ㄷ百姓(백성)은 서서 구경하며 ㄹ官員(관원)들도 ㅁ비웃어 가로되 ㅂ저가 남을
ㅅ救援(구원)하였으니 ㅇ萬一(만일) 하나님의 ㅈ擇(택)하신 者(자) ㅊ그리스도여든 ㅋ自己(자기)도 救援(구원)할찌어다하고
The people stood watching, and the rulers even sneered at him. They said, "He saved others; let him save himself if he is the Christ of God, the Chosen One." And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Christ, the chosen of God. |

軍兵(군병)들도 戱弄(희롱)하면서 나아와 ㅌ신葡萄酒(포도주)를 주며
The soldiers also came up and mocked him. They offered him wine vinegar And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar, |
37 |
가로되 ㅍ네가 萬一(만일) ㅎ유대人(인)의 王(왕)이어든 네가 너를 救援(구원)하라하더라
and said, "If you are the king of the Jews, save yourself." And saying, If thou be the king of the Jews, save thyself. |
38 |
ㅏ그의 위에 이는 유대人(인)의 王(왕)이라 쓴 牌(패)가 있더라
There was a written notice above him, which read: THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. And a superscription also was written over him in letters of Greek, and Latin, and Hebrew, THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS. |

● ㅑ달린 行惡者(행악자) 中(중) 하나는 ㅓ誹謗(비방)하여 가로되 ㅕ네가 그리스도가 아니냐 너와 우리를 救援(구원)하라 하되
One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If thou be Christ, save thyself and us. |
40 |
하나는 그 사람을 꾸짖어 가로되 네가 同一(동일)한 定罪(정죄)를 받고서도 하나님을 두려워 아니하느냐
But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? |
41 |
우리는 우리의 行(행)한 일에 相當(상당)한 報應(보응)을 받는 것이니 이에 當然(당연)하거니와 이 사람의 行(행)한 것은 옳지 않은 것이 없느니라 하고
We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss. |
42 |
가로되 예수여 ㅗ當身(당신)의 나라에 臨(임)하실 때에 나를 생각하소서 하니

Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. |

예수께서 이르시되 내가 眞實(진실)로 네게 이르노니 오늘 네가 나와 함께 ㅛ樂園(낙원)에 있으리라 하시니라
Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise. |

● ㅜ때가 第(제) 六時(육시)쯤 되어 해가 빛을 잃고 온 땅에 어두움이 臨(임)하여 第(제) 九時(구시)까지 繼續(계속)하며
It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour, And it was about the sixth hour, and there was a darkness over all the earth until the ninth hour. |
45 |
ㅠ聖所(성소)의 揮帳(휘장)이 한가운데가 찢어지더라
for the sun stopped shining. And the curtain of the temple was torn in two. And the sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was rent in the midst. |
46 |
으예수께서 큰 소리로 불러 가라사대 아버지여 내 靈魂(영혼)을 이아버지 손에 ㅐ付託(부탁)하나이다 하고 이 말씀을 하신 後(후) ㄱ殞命(운명)하시다
Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last. And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost. |

ㄴ백부장이 그 된 일을 보고 ㄷ하나님께 榮光(영광)을 돌려 가로되 이 사람은 丁寧(정녕) 義人(의인)이었도다 하고
The centurion, seeing what had happened, praised God and said, "Surely this was a righteous man." Now when the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man. |
48 |
이를 구경하러 모인 무리도 그 된 일을 보고 다 ㄹ가슴을 두드리며 돌아가고
When all the people who had gathered to witness this sight saw what took place, they beat their breasts and went away. And all the people that came together to that sight, beholding the things which were done, smote their breasts, and returned. |
49 |
ㅁ예수의 아는 者(자)들과 및 ㅂ갈릴리로부터 따라온 女子(여자)들도 ㅅ다 멀리 서서 이 일을 보니라
But all those who knew him, including the women who had followed him from Galilee, stood at a distance, watching these things. And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off, beholding these things. |

● ㅇ公會(공회) 議員(의원)으로 善(선)하고 義(의)로운
요셉이라 하는 사람이 있으니
Now there was a man named Joseph, a member of the Council, a good and upright man, And, behold, there was a man named Joseph, a counsellor; and he was a good man, and a just: |

저희의 決議(결의)와 行事(행사)에 可(가)타 하지 아니한 者(자)라 그는 유대人(인)의 洞里(동리) 아리마대 사람이요
ㅈ하나님의 나라를 기다리는 者(자)러니
who had not consented to their decision and action. He came from the Judean town of Arimathea and he was waiting for the kingdom of God. (The same had not consented to the counsel and deed of them;) he was of Arimathaea, a city of the Jews: who also himself waited for the kingdom of God. |

빌라도에게 가서 예수의 屍體(시체)를 달라 하여
Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body. This man went unto Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. |
53 |
이를 내려 細麻布(세마포)로 싸고 ㅊ아직 사람을 장사한 일이 없는 ㅋ바위에 판 무덤에 넣어 두니
Then he took it down, wrapped it in linen cloth and placed it in a tomb cut in the rock, one in which no one had yet been laid. And he took it down, and wrapped it in linen, and laid it in a sepulchre that was hewn in stone, wherein never man before was laid. |

이 날은 ㅌ豫備日(예비일)이요 安息日(안식일)이 거의 되었더라

ㅍ갈릴리에서 예수와 함께 온 ㅎ女子(여자)들이 뒤를 좇아 그 무덤과 그의 屍體(시체)를 어떻게 둔 것을 보고
The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed Joseph and saw the tomb and how his body was laid in it. And the women also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld the sepulchre, and how his body was laid. |

돌아가 ㅏ香品(향품)과 香油(향유)를 豫備(예비)하더라 ● ㅑ誡命(계명)을 좇아 安息日(안식일)에 쉬더라 Then they went home and prepared spices and perfumes. But they rested on the Sabbath in obedience to the commandment. And they returned, and prepared spices and ointments; and rested the sabbath day according to the commandment. |
