사람이 소나 羊(양)을 盜賊(도적)질하여 잡거나 팔면 그는 소 하나에 소 다섯으로 갚고 ㅛ羊(양) 하나에 羊(양) 넷으로 갚을찌니라
If a man steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells it, he must pay back five head of cattle for the ox and four sheep for the sheep. If a man shall steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it; he shall restore five oxen for an ox, and four sheep for a sheep. |

ㅜ盜賊(도적)이 뚫고 들어옴을 보고 그를 쳐 죽이면 ㅠ피 흘린 罪(죄)가 없으나
If a thief is caught breaking in and is struck so that he dies, the defender is not guilty of bloodshed; If a thief be found breaking up, and be smitten that he die, there shall no blood be shed for him. |

해 돋은 後(후)이면 피 흘린 罪(죄)가 있으리라 盜賊(도적)은 반드시 賠償(배상)할 것이나 賠償(배상)할 것이 없으면 으그 몸을 팔아 그 盜賊(도적)질한 것을 賠償(배상)할 것이요

but if it happens after sunrise, he is guilty of bloodshed. "A thief must certainly make restitution, but if he has nothing, he must be sold to pay for his theft. If the sun be risen upon him, there shall be blood shed for him; for he should make full restitution; if he have nothing, then he shall be sold for his theft. |

盜賊(도적)질한 것이 살아 그 손에 있으면 이소나 나귀나 羊(양)을 無論(무론)하고 ㅐ갑절을 賠償(배상)할찌니라
If the stolen animal is found alive in his possession--whether ox or donkey or sheep--he must pay back double. If the theft be certainly found in his hand alive, whether it be ox, or ass, or sheep; he shall restore double. |

● 사람이 밭에서나 葡萄園(포도원)에서 먹이다가 그 짐승을 놓아서 남의 밭에서 먹게 하면 自己(자기) 밭의 第一(제일) 좋은 것과 自己(자기) 葡萄園(포도원)의 第一(제일) 좋은 것으로 賠償(배상)할찌니라
If a man grazes his livestock in a field or vineyard and lets them stray and they graze in another man's field, he must make restitution from the best of his own field or vineyard. If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man's field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution. |

● 불이 나서 가시나무에 미쳐 낟가리나 거두지 못한 穀食(곡식)이나 田園(전원)을 태우면 불 놓은 者(자)가 반드시 賠償(배상)할찌니라
If a fire breaks out and spreads into thornbushes so that it burns shocks of grain or standing grain or the whole field, the one who started the fire must make restitution. If fire break out, and catch in thorns, so that the stacks of corn, or the standing corn, or the field, be consumed therewith; he that kindled the fire shall surely make restitution. |

● 사람이 돈이나 物品(물품)을 이웃에게 맡겨 지키게 하였다가 그 이웃의 집에서 逢賊(봉적)하였는데 그 盜賊(도적)이 잡히면 갑절을 賠償(배상)할 것이요
If a man gives his neighbor silver or goods for safekeeping and they are stolen from the neighbor's house, the thief, if he is caught, must pay back double. If a man shall deliver unto his neighbour money or stuff to keep, and it be stolen out of the man's house; if the thief be found, let him pay double. |

盜賊(도적)이 잡히지 아니하면 그 집 主人(주인)이 1)ㄱ裁判長(재판장) 앞에 가서 自己(자기)가 그 이웃의 物品(물품)에 손 댄 與否(여부)의 調査(조사)를 받을 것이며

But if the thief is not found, the owner of the house must appear before the judges to determine whether he has laid his hands on the other man's property. If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall be brought unto the judges, to see whether he have put his hand unto his neighbour's goods. |

어떠한 過失(과실)에든지, 소에든지, 나귀에든지, 羊(양)에든지, 衣服(의복)에든지, 또는 아무 잃은 物件(물건)에든지, 그것에 對(대)하여 或(혹)이 이르기를 이것이 그것이라 하면 두 便(편)이
裁判長(재판장) 앞에 나아갈 것이요 裁判長(재판장)이 罪(죄) 있다고 하는 者(자)가 그 相對便(상대편)에게 갑절을 賠償(배상)할찌니라
In all cases of illegal possession of an ox, a donkey, a sheep, a garment, or any other lost property about which somebody says, 'This is mine,' both parties are to bring their cases before the judges. The one whom the judges declare guilty must pay back double to his neighbor. For all manner of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, which another challengeth to be his, the cause of both parties shall come before the judges; and whom the judges shall condemn, he shall pay double unto his neighbour. |

● 사람이 나귀나 소나 羊(양)이나 다른 짐승을 이웃에게 맡겨 지키게 하였다가 죽거나 傷(상)하거나 몰려가도 본 사람이 없으면
If a man gives a donkey, an ox, a sheep or any other animal to his neighbor for safekeeping and it dies or is injured or is taken away while no one is looking, If a man deliver unto his neighbour an ass, or an ox, or a sheep, or any beast, to keep; and it die, or be hurt, or driven away, no man seeing it: |

두 사람 사이에 맡은 者(자)가 이웃의 것에 손을 대지 아니하였다고 여호와로 ㄴ盟誓(맹세)할 것이요 그 임자는 그대로

the issue between them will be settled by the taking of an oath before the LORD that the neighbor did not lay hands on the other person's property. The owner is to accept this, and no restitution is required. Then shall an oath of the LORD be between them both, that he hath not put his hand unto his neighbour's goods; and the owner of it shall accept thereof, and he shall not make it good. |

萬一(만일) 自己(자기)에게서 ㄷ逢賊(봉적)하였으면 그 임자에게 賠償(배상)할 것이며

萬一(만일) 찢겼으면 그것을 가져다가 證據(증거)할 것이요 그 찢긴 것에 對(대)하여 賠償(배상)하지 않을찌니라
If it was torn to pieces by a wild animal, he shall bring in the remains as evidence and he will not be required to pay for the torn animal. If it be torn in pieces, then let him bring it for witness, and he shall not make good that which was torn. |

● 萬一(만일) 이웃에게 빌어온 것이 그 임자가 함께 있지 아니할 때에 傷(상)하거나 죽으면 반드시 賠償(배상)하려니와
If a man borrows an animal from his neighbor and it is injured or dies while the owner is not present, he must make restitution. And if a man borrow ought of his neighbour, and it be hurt, or die, the owner thereof being not with it, he shall surely make it good. |

그 임자가
그것과 함께 하였으면 賠償(배상)하지 않을지며 貰(세) 낸것도 貰(세)를 爲(위)하여 왔은즉 賠償(배상)하지 않을찌니라
But if the owner is with the animal, the borrower will not have to pay. If the animal was hired, the money paid for the hire covers the loss. But if the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be an hired thing, it came for his hire. |

● ㄹ사람이 定婚(정혼)하지 아니한 處女(처녀)를 꾀어 同寢(동침)하였으면 聘幣(빙폐)를 드려 아내로 삼을 것이요
If a man seduces a virgin who is not pledged to be married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride-price, and she shall be his wife. And if a man entice a maid that is not betrothed, and lie with her, he shall surely endow her to be his wife. |
17 |
萬一(만일) 그 아비가 그로 그에게 주기를 拒絶(거절)하면 그는 ㅁ處女(처녀)에게 聘幣(빙폐)하는 一例(일례)로 돈을 낼찌니라
If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he must still pay the bride-price for virgins. If her father utterly refuse to give her unto him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins. |
18 |
● 너는 ㅂ무당을 살려 두지 말찌니라
Do not allow a sorceress to live. Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live. |
19 |
● ㅅ짐승과 行淫(행음)하는 者(자)는 반드시 죽일찌니라
Anyone who has sexual relations with an animal must be put to death. Whosoever lieth with a beast shall surely be put to death. |
20 |
● 여호와 外(외)에 ㅇ다른 神(신)에게 犧牲(희생)을 드리는 者(자)는 滅(멸)할찌니라
Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the LORD must be destroyed. He that sacrificeth unto any god, save unto the LORD only, he shall be utterly destroyed. |
21 |
너는 ㅈ異邦(이방) 나그네를 壓制(압제)하지 말며 그들을 虐待(학대)하지 말라 너희도 애굽
땅에서 나그네이었었음이니라
Do not mistreat an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in Egypt. Thou shalt neither vex a stranger, nor oppress him: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt. |
22 |
너는 ㅊ寡婦(과부)나 孤兒(고아)를 害(해)롭게 하지 말라
Do not take advantage of a widow or an orphan. Ye shall not afflict any widow, or fatherless child. |
23 |
네가 萬一(만일) 그들을 害(해)롭게 하므로 그들이 내게 부르짖으면 ㅋ내가 반드시 그 부르짖음을 들을찌라
If you do and they cry out to me, I will certainly hear their cry. If thou afflict them in any wise, and they cry at all unto me, I will surely hear their cry; |
24 |
나의 ㅌ怒(노)가 猛烈(맹렬)하므로 내가 칼로 너희를 죽이리니 ㅍ너희 아내는 寡婦(과부)가 되고 너희 子女(자녀)는 孤兒(고아)가 되리라
My anger will be aroused, and I will kill you with the sword; your wives will become widows and your children fatherless. And my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless. |
25 |
네가 萬一(만일) 너와 함께한 ㅎ나의 百姓(백성) 中(중) 가난한 者(자)에게 돈을 꾸이거든 너는
그에게 債主(채주)같이 하지 말며 邊利(변리)를 받지 말 것이며
If you lend money to one of my people among you who is needy, do not be like a moneylender; charge him no interest. If thou lend money to any of my people that is poor by thee, thou shalt not be to him as an usurer, neither shalt thou lay upon him usury. |
26 |
네가 萬一(만일) ㅏ이웃의 옷을 典當(전당)잡거든 해가 지기 前(전)에 그에게 돌려보내라
If you take your neighbor's cloak as a pledge, return it to him by sunset, If thou at all take thy neighbour's raiment to pledge, thou shalt deliver it unto him by that the sun goeth down: |
27 |
그 몸을 가릴 것이 이뿐이라 이는 그 살의 옷인즉 그가 무엇을 입고 자겠느냐 그가 내게 부르짖으면 내가 들으리니 ㅑ나는 慈悲(자비)한 者(자)임이니라
because his cloak is the only covering he has for his body. What else will he sleep in? When he cries out to me, I will hear, for I am compassionate. For that is his covering only, it is his raiment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? and it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious. |

● 너는 ㅓ裁判長(재판장)을 ㅕ辱(욕)하지 말며 百姓(백성)의 有司(유사)를
詛呪(저주)하지 말찌니라
Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people. Thou shalt not revile the gods, nor curse the ruler of thy people. |

너는 너의 秋收(추수)한 것과 너의 짜낸 汁(즙)을 드리기에 더디게 말찌며 너의 ㅗ처음 난 아들들을 내게 줄찌며

Do not hold back offerings from your granaries or your vats. You must give me the firstborn of your sons. Thou shalt not delay to offer the first of thy ripe fruits, and of thy liquors: the firstborn of thy sons shalt thou give unto me. |

너의 ㅛ소와 羊(양)도 그 一例(일례)로 하되 ㅜ七日(칠일) 동안 어미와 함께 있게 하다가 八日(팔일)만에 내게 줄찌니라
Do the same with your cattle and your sheep. Let them stay with their mothers for seven days, but give them to me on the eighth day. Likewise shalt thou do with thine oxen, and with thy sheep: seven days it shall be with his dam; on the eighth day thou shalt give it me. |
31 |
ㅠ너희는 내게 거룩한 사람이 될지니 으들에서 짐승에게 찢긴 것의 고기를 먹지 말고 이개에게 던질찌니라
You are to be my holy people. So do not eat the meat of an animal torn by wild beasts; throw it to the dogs. And ye shall be holy men unto me: neither shall ye eat any flesh that is torn of beasts in the field; ye shall cast it to the dogs. |
