After this, Jesus went around in Galilee, purposely staying away from Judea because the Jews there were waiting to take his life. After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Jewry, because the Jews sought to kill him. |

ㅓ유대人(인)의 名節(명절)인 ㅕ草幕節(초막절)이 가까운지라
But when the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles was near, Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand. |

ㅗ그 兄弟(형제)들이 예수께 이르되 當身(당신)의 行(행)하는 일을 ㅛ弟子(제자)들도 보게 여기를 떠나 유대로 가소서
Jesus' brothers said to him, "You ought to leave here and go to Judea, so that your disciples may see the miracles you do. His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea, that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest. |

스스로 나타나기를 求(구)하면서 묻혀서 일하는 사람이 없나니 이 일을 行(행)하려 하거든 ㅜ自身(자신)을 世上(세상)에 나타내소서 하니
No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world." For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the world. |

이는 ㅠ그 兄弟(형제)들이라도 으예수를 믿지 아니함이러라
For even his own brothers did not believe in him. For neither did his brethren believe in him. |

예수께서 가라사대 이내 때는 아직 이르지 아니 하였거니와 너희 때는 늘 準備(준비)되어 있느니라
Therefore Jesus told them, "The right time for me has not yet come; for you any time is right. Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. |

世上(세상)이 너희를 미워하지 못하되 ㅐ나를 미워하나니 이는 내가 ㄱ世上(세상)의 行事(행사)를
惡(악)하다 證據(증거)함이라
The world cannot hate you, but it hates me because I testify that what it does is evil. The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil. |

너희는 名節(명절)에 올라가라 ㄴ나는 내 때가 아직 차지 못하였으니 이 名節(명절)에 아직 올라가지 아니하노라

You go to the Feast. I am not yet going up to this Feast, because for me the right time has not yet come." Go ye up unto this feast: I go not up yet unto this feast; for my time is not yet full come. |

이 말씀을 하시고 갈릴리에 머물러 계시니라
Having said this, he stayed in Galilee. When he had said these words unto them, he abode still in Galilee. |

● ㄷ그 兄弟(형제)들이 名節(명절)에 올라간後(후) 自己(자기)도 올라가시되 나타내지 않고 秘密(비밀)히 하시니라
However, after his brothers had left for the Feast, he went also, not publicly, but in secret. But when his brethren were gone up, then went he also up unto the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret. |

名節(명절) 中(중)에 ㄹ유대人(인)들이 ㅁ예수를 찾으면서 그가 어디 있느냐 하고
Now at the Feast the Jews were watching for him and asking, "Where is that man?" Then the Jews sought him at the feast, and said, Where is he? |
12 |
예수께 對(대)하여 무리 中(중)에서 ㅂ수군거림이 많아 ㅅ或(혹)은 좋은 사람이라 하며 或(혹)은 아니라 ㅇ무리를 迷惑(미혹)하게 한다 하나
Among the crowds there was widespread whispering about him. Some said, "He is a good man." Others replied, "No, he deceives the people." And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people. |

그러나 ㅈ유대人(인)들을 두려워하므로 드러나게 그를 말하는 者(자)가 없더라
But no one would say anything publicly about him for fear of the Jews. Howbeit no man spake openly of him for fear of the Jews. |

● 이미 名節(명절)의 中間(중간)이 되어 예수께서 ㅊ聖殿(성전)에 올라가사 가르치시니

Not until halfway through the Feast did Jesus go up to the temple courts and begin to teach. Now about the midst of the feast Jesus went up into the temple, and taught. |

유대人(인)들이 ㅋ奇異(기이)히 여겨 가로되 이 사람은 배우지 아니하였거늘 어떻게 글을 아느냐 하니
The Jews were amazed and asked, "How did this man get such learning without having studied?" And the Jews marvelled, saying, How knoweth this man letters, having never learned? |

예수께서 對答(대답)하여 가라사대 ㅌ내 敎訓(교훈)은 내 것이 아니요 ㅍ나를 보내신 이의 것이니라
Jesus answered, "My teaching is not my own. It comes from him who sent me. Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. |
17 |
ㅎ사람이 하나님의 뜻을 行(행)하려 하면 ㅏ이 敎訓(교훈)이 하나님께로서 왔는지 ㅑ내가 스스로 말함인지 알리라
If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own. If any man will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or whether I speak of myself. |

스스로 말하는 者(자)는 ㅓ自己(자기) 榮光(영광)만 求(구)하되 보내신 이의 榮光(영광)을 求(구)하는 者(자)는 참되니 그 속에 不義(불의)가 없느니라
He who speaks on his own does so to gain honor for himself, but he who works for the honor of the one who sent him is a man of truth; there is nothing false about him. He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. |

ㅕ모세가 너희에게 律法(율법)을 주지 아니하였느냐 너희 中(중)에 律法(율법)을 지키는 者(자)가 없도다 너희가 ㅗ어찌하여 나를 죽이려 하느냐
Has not Moses given you the law? Yet not one of you keeps the law. Why are you trying to kill me?" Did not Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keepeth the law? Why go ye about to kill me? |

무리가 對答(대답)하되 ㅛ當身(당신)은 鬼神(귀신)이 들렸도다 누가 當身(당신)을 죽이려 하나이까
You are demon-possessed, the crowd answered. "Who is trying to kill you?" The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil: who goeth about to kill thee? |

예수께서 對答(대답)하여 가라사대 내가 ㅜ한 가지 일을 行(행)하매 너희가 다 이를 因(인)하여 怪異(괴이)히
여기는도다
Jesus said to them, "I did one miracle, and you are all astonished. Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel. |

ㅠ모세가 너희에게 割禮(할례)를 주었으니 그러나 割禮(할례)는 모세에게서 난 것이 아니요 으祖上(조상)들에게서 난 것이라 그러므로 너희가
安息日(안식일)에도 사람에게 割禮(할례)를 주느니라
Yet, because Moses gave you circumcision (though actually it did not come from Moses, but from the patriarchs), you circumcise a child on the Sabbath. Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man. |

모세의 律法(율법)을 廢(폐)하지 아니하려고 사람이 安息日(안식일)에도 割禮(할례)를 받는 일이 있거든 내가 安息日(안식일)에 사람의 全身(전신)을 健全(건전)케 한 것으로 이너희가 나를 怒(노)여워하느냐
Now if a child can be circumcised on the Sabbath so that the law of Moses may not be broken, why are you angry with me for healing the whole man on the Sabbath? If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day? |

ㅐ外貌(외모)로 判斷(판단)하지 말고 公義(공의)의 判斷(판단)으로 判斷(판단)하라 하시니라
Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment." Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. |
25 |
● 예루살렘 사람 中(중)에서 或(혹)이 말하되 이는 ㄱ저희가 죽이고자 하는 그 사람이 아니냐

At that point some of the people of Jerusalem began to ask, "Isn't this the man they are trying to kill? Then said some of them of Jerusalem, Is not this he, whom they seek to kill? |

보라 ㄴ드러나게 말하되 저희가 아무 말도 아니하는도다 ㄷ當局者(당국자)들은 이 사람을 참으로 그리스도인줄 알았는가
Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Christ? But, lo, he speaketh boldly, and they say nothing unto him. Do the rulers know indeed that this is the very Christ? |

그러나 우리는 ㄹ이 사람이 어디서 왔는지 ㅁ아노라 그리스도께서 오실 때에는 ㅂ어디서 오시는지 아는 者(자)가 없으리라 하는지라
But we know where this man is from; when the Christ comes, no one will know where he is from." Howbeit we know this man whence he is: but when Christ cometh, no man knoweth whence he is. |

예수께서 ㅅ聖殿(성전)에서 가르치시며 외쳐 가라사대 너희가 나를 알고 내가 어디서 온 것도 알거니와 ㅇ내가 스스로 온 것이 아니로라
ㅈ나를 보내신 이는 참이시니 ㅊ너희는 그를 알지 못하나
Then Jesus, still teaching in the temple courts, cried out, "Yes, you know me, and you know where I am from. I am not here on my own, but he who sent me is true. You do not know him, Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Ye both know me, and ye know whence I am: and I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not. |

ㅋ나는 아노니 이는 ㅌ내가 그에게서 났고 ㅍ그가 나를 보내셨음이니라 하신대
but I know him because I am from him and he sent me." But I know him: for I am from him, and he hath sent me. |
30 |
ㅎ저희가 예수를 잡고자 하나 ㅏ손을 대는 者(자)가 없으니 이는 그의 ㅑ때가 아직 이르지 아니하였음이러라
At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come. Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. |

ㅓ무리 中(중)에 많은 사람이 예수를 믿고 말하되 ㅕ그리스도께서 오실찌라도 그 行(행)하실 1)標蹟(표적)이 이 사람의 行(행)한 것보다 더 많으랴 하니
Still, many in the crowd put their faith in him. They said, "When the Christ comes, will he do more miraculous signs than this man?" And many of the people believed on him, and said, When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these which this man hath done? |

예수께 對(대)하여 ㅗ무리의 수군거리는 것이 바리새人(인)들에게 들린지라 大祭司長(대제사장)들과 바리새人(인)들이 그를 잡으려고 ㅛ下屬(하속)들을 보내니
The Pharisees heard the crowd whispering such things about him. Then the chief priests and the Pharisees sent temple guards to arrest him. The Pharisees heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Pharisees and the chief priests sent officers to take him. |
33 |
예수께서 이르시되 ㅜ내가 너희와 함께 조금 더 있다가 ㅠ나를 보내신 이에게로 돌아가겠노라
Jesus said, "I am with you for only a short time, and then I go to the one who sent me. Then said Jesus unto them, Yet a little while am I with you, and then I go unto him that sent me. |
34 |
으너희가 나를 찾아도 만나지 못할 터이요 나 있는 곳에 오지도 못하리라 하신대
You will look for me, but you will not find me; and where I am, you cannot come." Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come. |
35 |
이에 유대人(인)들이 서로 묻되 이 사람이 어디로 가기에 우리가 저를 만나지 못하리요 이헬라人(인) 中(중)에 ㅐ흩어져 사는 者(자)들에게로 ㄱ가서 헬라人(인)을 가르칠 터인가
The Jews said to one another, "Where does this man intend to go that we cannot find him? Will he go where our people live scattered among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks? Then said the Jews among themselves, Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles, and teach the Gentiles? |

ㄴ나를 찾아도 만나지 못할 터이요 나 있는 곳에 오지도 못하리라 한 이 말이 무슨 말이냐 하니라

What did he mean when he said, 'You will look for me, but you will not find me,' and 'Where I am, you cannot come'?" What manner of saying is this that he said, Ye shall seek me, and shall not find me: and where I am, thither ye cannot come? |

● 名節(명절) ㄷ끝날 곧 큰날에 예수께서 서서 외쳐 가라사대 ㄹ누구든지 목마르거든 ㅁ내게로 와서 마시라
On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. |

나를 믿는 者(자)는 ㅂ聖經(성경)에 이름과 같이 ㅅ그 배에서 ㅇ生水(생수)의 江(강)이 흘러나리라 하시니
Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. |

ㅈ이는 그를 믿는 者(자)의 받을 ㅊ聖靈(성령)을
가리켜 말씀하신 것이라 (ㅋ예수께서 아직 ㅌ榮光(영광)을 받지 못하신故(고)로 ㅍ聖靈(성령)이
아직 ㅎ저희에게 계시지 아니하시더라)
By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) |

ㅏ이 말씀을 들은 무리 中(중)에서 或(혹)은 이가 참으로 그 ㅑ先知者(선지자)라 하며
On hearing his words, some of the people said, "Surely this man is the Prophet." Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. |

或(혹)은 ㅓ그리스도라 하며 어떤 이들은 ㅕ그리스도가 어찌 갈릴리에서 나오겠느냐
Others said, "He is the Christ." Still others asked, "How can the Christ come from Galilee? Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee? |

聖經(성경)에 이르기를 그리스도는 ㅗ다윗의 씨로 또
ㅛ다윗의 살던 村(촌) ㅜ베들레헴에서 나오리라 하지 아니하였느냐 하며
Does not the Scripture say that the Christ will come from David's family and from Bethlehem, the town where David lived?" Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? |

Thus the people were divided because of Jesus. So there was a division among the people because of him. |

으그 中(중)에는 그를 잡고자 하는 者(자)들도 있으나 손을 대는 者(자)가 없었더라

Some wanted to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him. And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him. |

● 이下屬(하속)들이 大祭司長(대제사장)들과 바리새人(인)들에게로 오니 저희가 묻되 어찌하여 잡아오지 아니하였느냐

No! But this mob that knows nothing of the law--there is a curse on them." But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed. |

그 中(중)에 한 사람 곧 前(전)에 예수께 왔던 ㄷ니고데모가 저희에게 말하되
Nicodemus, who had gone to Jesus earlier and who was one of their own number, asked, Nicodemus saith unto them, (he that came to Jesus by night, being one of them,) |

ㄹ우리 律法(율법)은 ㅁ사람의 말을 듣고 그 行(행)한 것을 알기 前(전)에 判決(판결)하느냐
Does our law condemn anyone without first hearing him to find out what he is doing? Doth our law judge any man, before it hear him, and know what he doeth? |

저희가 對答(대답)하여 가로되 ㅂ너도 갈릴리에서 왔느냐 詳考(상고)하여 보라 ㅅ갈릴리에서는 先知者(선지자)가 나지 못하느니라 하였더라
They replied, "Are you from Galilee, too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet does not come out of Galilee." They answered and said unto him, Art thou also of Galilee? Search, and look: for out of Galilee ariseth no prophet. |
