Now the tax collectors and "sinners" were all gathering around to hear him. Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. |

ㅁ怨望(원망)하여 가로되 ㅂ이 사람이 罪人(죄인)을 迎接(영접)하고 ㅅ飮食(음식)을 같이 먹는다 하더라
But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, "This man welcomes sinners and eats with them." And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them. |

● 예수께서 저희에게 이 譬喩(비유)로 이르시되
Then Jesus told them this parable: And he spake this parable unto them, saying, |

너희 中(중)에 ㅇ어느 사람이 羊(양) 一百(일백) 마리가 있는데 그 中(중)에 ㅈ하나를 잃으면 아흔 아홉 마리를 ㅊ들에 두고
ㅋ그 잃은 것을 찾도록 찾아 다니지 아니하느냐
Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? |

또 찾은즉 즐거워 ㅌ어깨에 메고
And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. |

집에 와서 그 벗과 이웃을 불러 모으고 말하되 나와 함께 즐기자 ㅍ나의 잃은 羊(양)을 찾았노라 하리라

and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.' And when he cometh home, he calleth together his friends and neighbours, saying unto them, Rejoice with me; for I have found my sheep which was lost. |

내가 너희에게 이르노니 이와 같이 罪人(죄인) 하나가 ㅎ悔改(회개)하면 하늘에서는 悔改(회개)할 것 없는 ㅏ義人(의인) 아흔 아홉을
因(인)하여 기뻐하는 것보다 더하리라
I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent. I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. |

● 어느 女子(여자)가 열 1)드라크마가 있는데 하나를 잃으면 燈(등)불을 켜고 집을 쓸며 찾도록 부지런히
찾지 아니하겠느냐

Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Does she not light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light a candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? |

또 찾은즉 벗과 이웃을 불러 모으고 말하되 나와 함께 즐기자 잃은 드라크마를 찾았노라 하리라
And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' And when she hath found it, she calleth her friends and her neighbours together, saying, Rejoice with me; for I have found the piece which I had lost. |

내가 너희에게 이르노니 이와 같이 罪人(죄인) 하나가 悔改(회개)하면 ㅑ하나님의 使者(사자)들 앞에 기쁨이
되느니라

In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth. |

● 또 가라사대 어떤 사람이 두 아들이 있는데
Jesus continued: "There was a man who had two sons. And he said, A certain man had two sons: |

그 둘째가 아비에게 말하되 아버지여 ㅓ財産(재산) 中(중)에서 내게 돌아올 분깃을 내게 주소서
하는지라 아비가 그 ㅕ살림을 各各(각각) 나눠 주었더니
The younger one said to his father, 'Father, give me my share of the estate.' So he divided his property between them. And the younger of them said to his father, Father, give me the portion of goods that falleth to me. And he divided unto them his living. |

그 後(후) 며칠이 못되어 둘째 아들이 財産(재산)을 다 모아 가지고 먼 나라에 가 거기서 ㅗ虛浪放蕩(허랑방탕)하여 그 財産(재산)을 虛費(허비)하더니
Not long after that, the younger son got together all he had, set off for a distant country and there squandered his wealth in wild living. And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into a far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. |

다 없이한 後(후) 그 나라에 크게 凶年(흉년)이 들어 저가 비로소 窮乏(궁핍)한지라
After he had spent everything, there was a severe famine in that whole country, and he began to be in need. And when he had spent all, there arose a mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. |
15 |
가서 그 나라 百姓(백성) 中(중) 하나에게 붙여 사니 그가 저를 들로 보내어 돼지를 치게 하였는데
So he went and hired himself out to a citizen of that country, who sent him to his fields to feed pigs. And he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. |

저가 ㅛ돼지 먹는 쥐엄 열매로 배를 채우고자 하되 주는 者(자)가 없는지라

He longed to fill his stomach with the pods that the pigs were eating, but no one gave him anything. And he would fain have filled his belly with the husks that the swine did eat: and no man gave unto him. |

이에 ㅜ스스로 돌이켜 ㅠ가로되 내 아버지에게는 糧食(양식)이 豊足(풍족)한 품군이 얼마나 많은고 나는 여기서 주려 죽는구나
When he came to his senses, he said, 'How many of my father's hired men have food to spare, and here I am starving to death! And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! |

내가 일어나 아버지께 가서 이르기를 아버지여 내가 으하늘과 아버지께 이罪(죄)를 얻었사오니
I will set out and go back to my father and say to him: Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee, |

ㅐ지금부터는 아버지의 아들이라 일컬음을 堪當(감당)치 못하겠나이다 나를 품군의
하나로 보소서 하리라 하고

I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me like one of your hired men.' And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. |

이에 일어나서 아버지께 돌아 가니라 아직도 相距(상거)가 먼데 아버지가 저를 보고 惻隱(측은)히 여겨 ㄱ달려가 ㄴ목을 안고 ㄷ입을
맞추니
So he got up and went to his father. "But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him. And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. |

아들이 가로되 아버지여 내가 하늘과 아버지께 罪(죄)를 얻었사오니 지금부터는 아버지의 아들이라 일컬음을 堪當(감당)치 못하겠나이다

The son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.' And the son said unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in thy sight, and am no more worthy to be called thy son. |

아버지는 종들에게 이르되 ㄹ第一(제일) 좋은 옷을 내어다가 입히고 ㅁ손에 가락지를 끼우고 발에
ㅂ신을 신기라
But the father said to his servants, 'Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: |

그리고 ㅅ살진 송아지를 끌어다가 잡으라 우리가 먹고 ㅇ즐기자
Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let's have a feast and celebrate. And bring hither the fatted calf, and kill it; and let us eat, and be merry: |
24 |
이 내 아들은 ㅈ죽었다가 다시 살아났으며 내가
잃었다가 다시 얻었노라 하니 저희가 즐거워하더라
For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' So they began to celebrate. For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found. And they began to be merry. |

맏아들은 밭에 있다가 돌아와 집에 가까왔을 때에 風流(풍류)와
춤추는 소리를 듣고
Meanwhile, the older son was in the field. When he came near the house, he heard music and dancing. Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing. |

한 종을 불러 이 무슨 일인가 물은대
So he called one of the servants and asked him what was going on. And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant. |
27 |
對答(대답)하되 當身(당신)의 同生(동생)이 돌아왔으매 當身(당신)의 아버지가 그의 健康(건강)한 몸을 다시 맞아 들이게 됨을 因(인)하여 살진 송아지를 잡았나이다 하니
'Your brother has come,' he replied, 'and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has him back safe and sound.' And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound. |

저가 怒(노)하여 들어가기를 즐겨 아니하거늘 아버지가 나와서 勸(권)한대
The older brother became angry and refused to go in. So his father went out and pleaded with him. And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him. |
29 |
아버지께 對答(대답)하여 가로되 내가 여러 해 아버지를 섬겨 命(명)을 어김이 없거늘 내게는 염소 새끼라도 주어 나와 내 벗으로 즐기게 하신 일이 없더니
But he answered his father, 'Look! All these years I've been slaving for you and never disobeyed your orders. Yet you never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends. And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me a kid, that I might make merry with my friends: |

ㅊ아버지의 살림을 ㅋ娼妓(창기)와 함께 먹어버린 이 아들이 돌아오매 이를 爲(위)하여 살진 송아지를
잡으셨나이다
But when this son of yours who has squandered your property with prostitutes comes home, you kill the fattened calf for him!' But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf. |

아버지가 이르되 얘 ㅌ너는 恒常(항상) 나와 함께 있으니 내 것이 다 네 것이로되

'My son,' the father said, 'you are always with me, and everything I have is yours. And he said unto him, Son, thou art ever with me, and all that I have is thine. |

이 네 同生(동생)은 ㅍ죽었다가 살았으며 내가 잃었다가 얻었기로 우리가 ㅎ즐거워하고 기뻐하는 것이 마땅하다 하니라
But we had to celebrate and be glad, because this brother of yours was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.'" It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this thy brother was dead, and is alive again; and was lost, and is found. |
