아담이 그 아내 하와와 同寢(동침)하매 하와가 孕胎(잉태)하여 가인을 낳고 이르되 내가 여호와로 말미암아 得男(득남)하였다 하니라
Adam lay with his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. She said, "With the help of the LORD I have brought forth a man." And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD. |

그가 또 가인의 아우 아벨을 낳았는데 아벨은 羊(양) 치는 者(자)이었고,
1)가인은 農事(농사)하는 者(자)이었더라

Later she gave birth to his brother Abel. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground. |

歲月(세월)이 지난 後(후)에 가인은 이땅의 所産(소산)으로 祭物(제물)을 삼아 여호와께 드렸고
In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD. |

아벨은 自己(자기)도 羊(양)의 ㅐ첫 새끼와 그 기름으로 드렸더니 여호와께서 ㄱ아벨과 그
祭物(제물)은 悅納(열납)하셨으나
But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: |

ㄴ가인과 그 祭物(제물)은 悅納(열납)하지 아니하신지라 가인이 甚(심)히 忿(분)하여 顔色(안색)이 變(변)하니

but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast. But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. |

여호와께서 가인에게 이르시되 네가 忿(분)하여 함은 어찜이며 顔色(안색)이 變(변)함은 어찜이뇨
Then the LORD said to Cain, "Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast? And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen? |

네가 ㄷ善(선)을 行(행)하면 어찌 낯을 들지 못하겠느냐 善(선)을 行(행)치 아니하면 罪(죄)가 門(문)에
엎드리느니라 罪(죄)의 2)所願(소원)은 ㄹ네게 있으나 너는 罪(죄)를 다스릴찌니라
If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. |

가인이 그 아우 아벨에게 告(고)하니라 그 後(후) 그들이 들에 있을때에 가인이 그 아우 ㅁ아벨을 쳐 죽이니라
Now Cain said to his brother Abel, "Let's go out to the field." And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him. And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him. |

여호와께서 가인에게 이르시되 네 아우 아벨이 어디 있느냐 그가 가로되 내가 ㅂ알지 못하나이다 내가 내 아우를 지키는 者(자)니이까

Then the LORD said to Cain, "Where is your brother Abel?" "I don't know," he replied. "Am I my brother's keeper?" And the LORD said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper? |

가라사대 네가 무엇을 하였느냐 네 아우의 핏ㅅ소리가 땅에서부터 내게 呼訴(호소)하느니라
The LORD said, "What have you done? Listen! Your brother's blood cries out to me from the ground. And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground. |

땅이 그 입을 벌려 네 손에서부터
네 아우의 피를 받았은즉 네가 ㅇ땅에서 詛呪(저주)를 받으리니
Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand. And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand; |

네가 밭 갈아도 땅이 다시는 그 效力(효력)을
네게 주지 아니할 것이요 너는 땅에서 避(피)하며 流離(유리)하는 者(자)가 되리라
When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth." When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth. |

가인이 여호와께 告(고)하되 ㅈ내 罪罰(죄벌)이 너무 重(중)하여 견딜 수 없나이다

Cain said to the LORD, "My punishment is more than I can bear. And Cain said unto the LORD, My punishment is greater than I can bear. |

ㅊ主(주)께서 오늘 이 地面(지면)에서 나를 쫓아 내시온즉 내가 ㅋ主(주)의 낯을 뵈옵지 못하리니 내가 땅에서 避(피)하며 流離(유리)하는 者(자)가 될찌라 무릇 나를
ㅌ만나는 者(자)가 나를 죽이겠나이다
Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me." Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me. |

여호와께서 그에게 이르시되 그렇지 않다 가인을 죽이는 者(자)는 ㅍ罰(벌)을 七倍(칠배)나 받으리라 하시고 ㅎ가인에게 標(표)를
주사 만나는 누구에게든지 죽임을 免(면)케 하시니라
But the LORD said to him, "Not so; if anyone kills Cain, he will suffer vengeance seven times over." Then the LORD put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him. And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him. |
16 |
● 가인이 여호와의 앞을 떠나 나가 에덴 東便(동편) 3)놋 땅에 居(거)하였더니
3) 유리함
So Cain went out from the LORD'S presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden. And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. |
17 |
아내와 同寢(동침)하니 그가 孕胎(잉태)하여 에녹을 낳은지라 가인이 城(성)을 쌓고 그 아들의 이름으로 城(성)을 이름하여 에녹이라 하였더라
Cain lay with his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch: and he builded a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch. |
18 |
에녹이 이랏을 낳았고 이랏은 므후야엘을 낳았고 므후야엘은 므드사엘을 낳았고 므드사엘은 라멕을 낳았더라
To Enoch was born Irad, and Irad was the father of Mehujael, and Mehujael was the father of Methushael, and Methushael was the father of Lamech. And unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech. |

라멕이 두 아내를 取(취)하였으니 하나의 이름은 아다요 하나의 이름은 씰라며
Lamech married two women, one named Adah and the other Zillah. And Lamech took unto him two wives: the name of the one was Adah, and the name of the other Zillah. |
20 |
아다는 야발을 낳았으니 그는 帳幕(장막)에 居(거)하여 六畜(육축) 치는 者(자)의 祖上(조상)이 되었고
Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who live in tents and raise livestock. And Adah bare Jabal: he was the father of such as dwell in tents, and of such as have cattle. |

그 아우의 이름은 유발이니 그는 竪琴(수금)과 洞簫(퉁소)를 잡는 모든 者(자)의 祖上(조상)이 되었으며
His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all who play the harp and flute. And his brother's name was Jubal: he was the father of all such as handle the harp and organ. |
22 |
씰라는 두발가인을 낳았으니 그는 銅鐵(동철)로 各樣(각양) 날카로운 機械(기계)를
만드는 者(자)요 두발가인의 누이는 나아마이었더라
Zillah also had a son, Tubal-Cain, who forged all kinds of tools out of bronze and iron. Tubal-Cain's sister was Naamah. And Zillah, she also bare Tubalcain, an instructer of every artificer in brass and iron: and the sister of Tubalcain was Naamah. |
23 |
라멕이 아내들에게 이르되 아다와 씰라여 내 소리를 들으라 라멕의 아내들이여 내 말을 들으라 나의 創傷(창상)을 因(인)하여 내가 사람을 죽였고 나의 傷(상)함을 因(인)하여 少年(소년)을 죽였도다
Lamech said to his wives, "Adah and Zillah, listen to me; wives of Lamech, hear my words. I have killed a man for wounding me, a young man for injuring me. And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt. |

ㅏ가인을 爲(위)하여는 罰(벌)이 七(칠) 倍(배)일찐대 라멕을 爲(위)하여는 罰(벌)이 七十七(칠십칠) 倍(배)이리로다 하였더라

If Cain is avenged seven times, then Lamech seventy-seven times." If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold. |

● 아담이 다시 아내와 同寢(동침)하매 그가 아들을 낳아 그 이름을 셋이라 하였으니 이는 하나님이 내게 가인의 죽인 아벨 代身(대신)에 다른 씨를 주셨다
함이며
Adam lay with his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, "God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him." And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. |

ㅑ셋도 아들을 낳고 그 이름을 ㅓ에노스라 하였으며 그 때에 사람들이 비로소 ㅕ여호와의 이름을 불렀더라
Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh. At that time men began to call on the name of the LORD. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD. |
