To man belong the plans of the heart, but from the LORD comes the reply of the tongue. The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from the LORD. |

ㅛ사람의 行爲(행위)가 ㅜ自己(자기) 보기에는 모두 깨끗하여도 여호와는 ㅠ心靈(심령)을 監察(감찰)하시느니라
All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits. |

으너의 行事(행사)를 여호와께 맡기라 그리하면 너의 經營(경영)하는 것이 이루리라

이여호와께서 온갖 것을 그 1)씌움에 適當(적당)하게 지으셨나니 ㅐ惡人(악인)도 惡(악)한 날에 適當(적당)하게 하셨느니라
The LORD works out everything for his own ends--even the wicked for a day of disaster. The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. |

무릇 마음이
驕慢(교만)한 者(자)를 ㄱ여호와께서 미워하시나니 2)彼此(피차)
ㄴ손을 잡을찌라도 罰(벌)을 免(면)치 못하리라
The LORD detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. |

ㄷ仁慈(인자)와 眞理(진리)로 因(인)하여 罪惡(죄악)이 贖(속)하게 되고 ㄹ여호와를 敬畏(경외)함으로 因(인)하여 ㅁ惡(악)에서 떠나게 되느니라
Through love and faithfulness sin is atoned for; through the fear of the LORD a man avoids evil. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil. |

사람의 行爲(행위)가 여호와를 기쁘시게 하면 ㅂ그 사람의 怨讐(원수)라도 그로 더불어 和睦(화목)하게 하시느니라
When a man's ways are pleasing to the LORD, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him. When a man's ways please the LORD, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. |

ㅅ적은 所得(소득)이 義(의)를 兼(겸)하면 많은 所得(소득)이 不義(불의)를 兼(겸)한 것보다 나으니라

In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps. |

惡(악)을 行(행)하는 것은 王(왕)의 미워할 바니 이는 ㅌ그 寶座(보좌)가 公義(공의)로 말미암아 굳게 섬이니라
Kings detest wrongdoing, for a throne is established through righteousness. It is an abomination to kings to commit wickedness: for the throne is established by righteousness. |

ㅍ義(의)로운 입술은 王(왕)들의 기뻐하는 것이요 正直(정직)히 말하는 者(자)는 그들의 사랑을 입느니라
Kings take pleasure in honest lips; they value a man who speaks the truth. Righteous lips are the delight of kings; and they love him that speaketh right. |

ㅎ王(왕)의 震怒(진노)는 殺戮(살륙)의 使者(사자)와 같아도 智慧(지혜)로운 사람은 ㅏ그것을 쉬게 하리라
A king's wrath is a messenger of death, but a wise man will appease it. The wrath of a king is as messengers of death: but a wise man will pacify it. |

ㅑ王(왕)의 喜色(희색)에 生命(생명)이 있나니 그 恩澤(은택)이 3)ㅓ늦은 비를 내리는 구름과 같으니라
When a king's face brightens, it means life; his favor is like a rain cloud in spring. In the light of the king's countenance is life; and his favour is as a cloud of the latter rain. |

ㅕ智慧(지혜)를 얻는 것이 ㅗ金(금)을 얻는 것보다 얼마나 나은고 明哲(명철)을 얻는 것이 ㅛ銀(은)을 얻는
것보다 더욱 나으니라
How much better to get wisdom than gold, to choose understanding rather than silver! How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver! |

ㅜ惡(악)을 떠나는 것은 正直(정직)한 사람의 大路(대로)니 그 길을 지키는 者(자)는 自己(자기)의 靈魂(영혼)을 保全(보전)하느니라

으謙遜(겸손)한 者(자)와 함께하여 마음을 낮추는 것이 이驕慢(교만)한 者(자)와 함께 하여 奪取物(탈취물)을 나누는 것보다 나으니라
Better to be lowly in spirit and among the oppressed than to share plunder with the proud. Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. |

삼가 4)말씀에 注意(주의)하는 者(자)는 ㅐ좋은 것을 얻나니 ㄱ여호와를 依支(의지)하는 者(자)가 福(복)이 있느니라
Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good: and whoso trusteth in the LORD, happy is he. |

마음이 智慧(지혜)로운 者(자)가 明哲(명철)하다 일컬음을 받고 입이 善(선)한 者(자)가 남의 ㄴ學識(학식)을 더하게 하느니라

Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. |

어떤 길은 사람의 보기에 바르나 畢竟(필경)은 死亡(사망)의 길이니라
There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death. There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. |

努力(노력)하는 者(자)는 食慾(식욕)을 因(인)하여 애쓰나니 이는 그 ㅇ입이 自己(자기)를 督促(독촉)함이니라

A scoundrel plots evil, and his speech is like a scorching fire. An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire. |

ㅋ悖戾(패려)한 者(자)는 다툼을 일으키고 ㅌ말장이는 ㅍ親(친)한 벗을 離間(이간)하느니라
A perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends. A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends. |

强暴(강포)한 사람은 ㅎ그 이웃을 꾀어 不善(불선)한 길로 引導(인도)하느니라

눈을 감는 者(자)는 ㅏ悖逆(패역)한 일을 圖謀(도모)하며 ㅑ입술을 닫는 者(자)는 惡(악)한 일을 이루느니라
He who winks with his eye is plotting perversity; he who purses his lips is bent on evil. He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth evil to pass. |

ㅓ白髮(백발)은 榮華(영화)의 ㅕ冕旒冠(면류관)이라 ㅗ義(의)로운 길에서 얻으리라
Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained by a righteous life. The hoary head is a crown of glory, if it be found in the way of righteousness. |

ㅛ怒(노)하기를 더디하는 者(자)는 勇士(용사)보다 낫고 自己(자기)의 마음을 다스리는 者(자)는 城(성)을 빼앗는 者(자)보다 나으니라
Better a patient man than a warrior, a man who controls his temper than one who takes a city. He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city. |

사람이 ㅜ제비는 뽑으나 일을 作定(작정)하기는 ㅠ여호와께 있느니라
The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD. The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD. |
