1 예수께서 그 열 두 弟子(제자)를 부르사 더러운 鬼神(귀신)을 쫓아내며 모든 病(병)과 모든 弱(약)한 것을 고치는 權能(권능)을 주시니라

He called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out evil spirits and to heal every disease and sickness.

And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

2 열 두 使徒(사도)의 이름은 이러하니 베드로라 하는 시몬을 비롯하여 그의 兄弟(형제) 안드레와 세베대의 아들 야고보와 그의 兄弟(형제) 요한,

These are the names of the twelve apostles: first, Simon (who is called Peter) and his brother Andrew; James son of Zebedee, and his brother John;

Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

Philip and Bartholomew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James son of Alphaeus, and Thaddaeus;

Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;

4 가나안人(인) 시몬과 및 가룟 유다 곧 예수를 판 者(자)라

Simon the Zealot and Judas Iscariot, who betrayed him.

Simon the Canaanite, and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

5 예수께서 이 열 둘을 내어 보내시며 命(명)하여 가라사대 異邦人(이방인)의 길로도 가지 말고 사마리아人(인)의 고을에도 들어가지 말고

These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: "Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.

These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:

6 차라리 이스라엘 집의 잃어버린 羊(양)에게로 가라

Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.

But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

7 가면서 傳播(전파)하여 말하되 天國(천국)이 가까왔다 하고

As you go, preach this message: 'The kingdom of heaven is near.'

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

8 病(병)든 者(자)를 고치며 죽은 者(자)를 살리며 문둥이를 깨끗하게 하며 鬼神(귀신)을 쫓아내되 너희가 거저 받았으니 거저 주어라

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

9 너희 纏袋(전대)에 金(금)이나 銀(은)이나 銅(동)이나 가지지 말고

Do not take along any gold or silver or copper in your belts;

Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,

10 旅行(여행)을 爲(위)하여 주머니나 두 벌 옷이나 신이나 지팡이를 가지지 말라 이는 일군이 저 먹을 것 받는 것이 마땅함이니라

take no bag for the journey, or extra tunic, or sandals or a staff; for the worker is worth his keep.

Nor scrip for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: for the workman is worthy of his meat.

11 아무 城(성)이나 村(촌)에 들어가든지 그 中(중)에 合當(합당)한 者(자)를 찾아내어 너희 떠나기까지 거기서 머물라

Whatever town or village you enter, search for some worthy person there and stay at his house until you leave.

And into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, enquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence.

12 또 그 집에 들어가면서 平安(평안)하기를 빌라

As you enter the home, give it your greeting.

And when ye come into an house, salute it.

13 그 집이 이에 合當(합당)하면 너희 빈 平安(평안)이 거기 臨(임)할 것이요 萬一(만일) 合當(합당)치 아니하면 그 平安(평안)이 너희에게 돌아올 것이니라

If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.

And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.

14 누구든지 너희를 迎接(영접)도 아니하고 너희 말을 듣지도 아니하거든 그 집이나 城(성)에서 나가 너희 발의 먼지를 떨어 버리라

If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, shake the dust off your feet when you leave that home or town.

And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.

15 내가 眞實(진실)로 너희에게 이르노니 審判(심판)날에 소돔과 고모라 땅이 그 城(성)보다 견디기 쉬우리라

I tell you the truth, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

16 ● 보라 내가 너희를 보냄이 羊(양)을 이리 가운데 보냄과 같도다 그러므로 너희는 같이 智慧(지혜)롭고 비둘기같이 純潔(순결)하라

I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.

Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

17 사람들을 삼가라 저희가 너희를 公會(공회)에 넘겨 주겠고 저희 會堂(회당)에서 채찍질하리라

Be on your guard against men; they will hand you over to the local councils and flog you in their synagogues.

But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues;

18 또 너희가 나를 因(인)하여 總督(총독)들과 임금들 앞에 끌려 가리니 이는 저희와 異邦人(이방인)들에게 證據(증거)가 되게 하려 하심이라
마8:4

On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles.

And ye shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles.

19 너희를 넘겨 줄 때에 어떻게 또는 무엇을 말할까 念慮(염려)치 말라 그때에 무슨 말할 것을 주시리니

But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say,

But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

20 말하는 이는 너희가 아니라 너희 속에서 말씀하시는 者(자) 곧 너희 아버지聖靈(성령)이시니라

for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

21 將次(장차) 兄弟(형제)가 兄弟(형제)를 아비가 子息(자식)을 죽는 데 내어주며 子息(자식)들이 父母(부모)를 對敵(대적)하여 죽게 하리라

Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death.

And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death.

22 너희가 내 이름을 因(인)하여 모든 사람에게 미움을 받을 것이나 나중까지 견디는 者(자)는 救援(구원)을 얻으리라

All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

23 이 洞里(동리)에서 너희를 逼迫(핍박)하거든 저 洞里(동리)로 避(피)하라 내가 眞實(진실)로 너희에게 이르노니 이스라엘의 모든 洞里(동리)를 다 다니지 못하여서 人子(인자)가 오리라

When you are persecuted in one place, flee to another. I tell you the truth, you will not finish going through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.

But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.

24 弟子(제자)가 그 先生(선생)보다, 또는 종이 그 上典(상전)보다 높지 못하나니

A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.

The disciple is not above his master, nor the servant above his lord.

25 弟子(제자)가 그 先生(선생) 같고 종이 그 上典(상전) 같으면 足(족)하도다 집 主人(주인)을 바알세불이라 하였거든 하물며 그 집 사람들이랴

It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, how much more the members of his household!

It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

26 그런즉 저희를 두려워하지 말라 감추인 것이 드러나지 않을 것이 없고 숨은 것이 알려지지 않을 것이 없느니라

So do not be afraid of them. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.

Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.

27 내가 너희에게 어두운 데서 이르는 것을 光明(광명)한 데서 말하며 너희가 귓속으로 듣는 것을 집 위에서 傳播(전파)하라

What I tell you in the dark, speak in the daylight; what is whispered in your ear, proclaim from the roofs.

What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops.

28 몸은 죽여도 靈魂(영혼)은 能(능)히 죽이지 못하는 者(자)들을 두려워하지 말고 오직 몸과 靈魂(영혼)을 能(능)히 地獄(지옥)에 滅(멸)하시는 者(자)를 두려워하라

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

29 참새 두 마리가 한 1)앗사리온에 팔리는 것이 아니냐 그러나 너희 아버지께서 許諾(허락)지 아니하시면 그 하나라도 땅에 떨어지지 아니하리라
    1) 동전의 명칭

Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.

Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father.

30 너희에게는 머리털까지 다 세신바 되었나니

And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

31 두려워하지 말라 너희는 많은 참새보다 貴(귀)하니라

So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.

Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.

32 누구든지 사람 앞에서 나를 是認(시인)하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 저를 是認(시인)할 것이요

Whoever acknowledges me before men, I will also acknowledge him before my Father in heaven.

Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

33 누구든지 사람 앞에서 나를 否認(부인)하면 나도 하늘에 계신 내 아버지 앞에서 저를 否認(부인)하리라

But whoever disowns me before men, I will disown him before my Father in heaven.

But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

34 내가 世上(세상)에 和平(화평)을 주러 온 줄로 생각지 말라 和平(화평)이 아니요 劍(검)을 2)주러 왔노라
눅12:51~53 계6:4     2) 헬, 던지러

Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.

Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.

35 내가 온 것은 사람이 그 아비와 딸이 어미와 며느리가 시어미와 不和(불화)하게 하려 함이니

For I have come to turn "'a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--

For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

36 사람의 怨讐(원수)가 自己(자기) 집안 食口(식구)리라

a man's enemies will be the members of his own household.'

And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

37 아비나 어미를 나보다 더 사랑하는 者(자)는 내게 合當(합당)치 아니하고 아들이나 딸을 나보다 더 사랑하는 者(자)도 내게 合當(합당)치 아니하고

Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me;

He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.

38 自己(자기) 十字架(십자가)를 지고 나를 좇지 않는 者(자)도 내게 合當(합당)치 아니하니라

and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.

And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.

39 自己(자기) 목숨얻는 者(자)는 잃을 것이요 나를 爲(위)하여 自己(자기) 목숨잃는 者(자)는 얻으리라

Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.

He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

40 너희를 迎接(영접)하는 者(자)는 나를 迎接(영접)하는 것이요 나를 迎接(영접)하는 者(자)는 나 보내신 이를 迎接(영접)하는 것이니라

He who receives you receives me, and he who receives me receives the one who sent me.

He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

41 先知者(선지자)의 이름으로 先知者(선지자)를 迎接(영접)하는 者(자)는 先知者(선지자)의 賞(상)을 받을 것이요 義人(의인)의 이름으로 義人(의인)을 迎接(영접)하는 者(자)는 義人(의인)의 賞(상)을 받을 것이요

Anyone who receives a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet's reward, and anyone who receives a righteous man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man's reward.

He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

42 또 누구든지 弟子(제자)의 이름으로 이 小子(소자) 中(중) 하나에게 冷水(냉수) 한 그릇이라도 주는 者(자)는 내가 眞實(진실)로 너희에게 이르노니 그 사람이 決斷(결단)코 賞(상)을 잃지 아니하리라 하시니라

And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward." MAT

And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward.
