1 [다윗의 詩(시)] 行惡者(행악자)를 因(인)하여 不平(불평)하여 하지 말며 不義(불의)를 行(행)하는 者(자)를 妬忌(투기)하지 말찌어다

Of David. Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong;

{A Psalm of David.} Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

2 저희는 풀과 같이 速(속)히 베임을 볼 것이며 푸른 菜蔬(채소) 같이 衰殘(쇠잔)할 것임이로다

for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.

For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

3 여호와를 依賴(의뢰)하여 善(선)을 行(행)하라 1)땅에 居(거)하여 그의 誠實(성실)로 植物(식물)을 삼을찌어다

Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

4 여호와를 기뻐하라 저가 네 마음의 所願(소원)을 이루어 주시리로다

Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

5 너의 길을 여호와께 맡기라 저를 依支(의지)하면 저가 이루시고

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:

Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.

6 네 義(의)를 빛같이 나타내시며 네 公義(공의)正午(정오)의 빛같이 하시리로다

He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.

7 2)여호와 앞에 潛潛(잠잠)하고 참아 기다리라 自己(자기) 길이 亨通(형통)하며 惡(악)한 꾀를 이루는 者(자)를 因(인)하여 不平(불평)하여 말찌어다

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 忿(분)을 그치고 怒(노)를 버리라 不平(불평)하여 말라 行惡(행악)에 치우칠 뿐이라

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret--it leads only to evil.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 大抵(대저) 行惡(행악)하는 者(자)는 끊어질 것이나 여호와를 企待(기대)하는 者(자)는 땅을 차지하리로다

For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth.

10 暫時(잠시) 後(후)에 惡人(악인)이 없어지리니 네가 그곳을 仔細(자세)히 살필찌라도 없으리로다

A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.

For yet a little while, and the wicked shall not be: yea, thou shalt diligently consider his place, and it shall not be.

11 오직 溫柔(온유)한 者(자)는 땅을 차지하며 豊富(풍부)한 和平(화평)으로 즐기리로다

But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy great peace.

But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace.

12 惡人(악인)이 義人(의인) 치기를 꾀하고 向(향)하여 그 이를 가는도다

The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them;

The wicked plotteth against the just, and gnasheth upon him with his teeth.

13 主(주)께서 저를 웃으시리니 그 날의 이름을 보심이로다

but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.

The Lord shall laugh at him: for he seeth that his day is coming.

14 惡人(악인)이 칼을 빼고 활을 당기어 가난하고 窮乏(궁핍)한 者(자)를 엎드러뜨리며 行爲(행위)가 正直(정직)한 者(자)를 죽이고자 하나

The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.

The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.

15 그 칼은 自己(자기)의 마음을 찌르고 그 활은 부러지리로다

But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

Their sword shall enter into their own heart, and their bows shall be broken.

16 義人(의인)의 적은 所有(소유)가 많은 惡人(악인)의 豊富(풍부)함보다 勝(승)하도다

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked;

A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked.

17 惡人(악인)의 팔은 부러지나 義人(의인)은 여호와께서 붙드시는도다

for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.

For the arms of the wicked shall be broken: but the LORD upholdeth the righteous.

18 여호와께서 完全(완전)한 者(자)의 날을 아시니 저희 基業(기업)은 永遠(영원)하리로다

The days of the blameless are known to the LORD, and their inheritance will endure forever.

The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

19 저희는 患難(환난) 때에 부끄럽지 아니하며 饑饉(기근)의 날에도 豊足(풍족)하려니와

In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.

They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.

20 惡人(악인)은 滅亡(멸망)하고 여호와의 怨讐(원수)는 어린 羊(양)의 기름 같이 타서 煙氣(연기)되어 없어지리로다

But the wicked will perish: The LORD'S enemies will be like the beauty of the fields, they will vanish--vanish like smoke.

But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.

21 惡人(악인)은 꾸고 갚지 아니하나 義人(의인)은 恩惠(은혜)를 베풀고 주는도다

The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously;

The wicked borroweth, and payeth not again: but the righteous sheweth mercy, and giveth.

22 主(주)의 福(복)을 받은 者(자)는 땅을 차지하고 主(주)의 詛呪(저주)를 받은 者(자)는 끊어지리로다

those the LORD blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be cut off.

For such as be blessed of him shall inherit the earth; and they that be cursed of him shall be cut off.

23 여호와께서 사람의 걸음定(정)하시고 그 을 기뻐하시나니

If the LORD delights in a man's way, he makes his steps firm;

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

24 저는 넘어지나 아주 엎드러지지 아니함은 여호와께서 손으로 붙드심이로다

though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.

25 내가 어려서부터 늙기까지 義人(의인)이 버림을 當(당)하거나 그 子孫(자손)이 乞食(걸식)함을 보지 못하였도다

I was young and now I am old, yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken or their children begging bread.

I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

26 저는 終日(종일)토록 恩惠(은혜)를 베풀고 꾸어 주니 그 子孫(자손)이 福(복)을 받는도다

They are always generous and lend freely; their children will be blessed.

He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

27 惡(악)에서 떠나 善(선)을 行(행)하라 그리하면 永永(영영)히 居(거)하리니

Turn from evil and do good; then you will dwell in the land forever.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.

28 여호와께서 公義(공의)를 사랑하시고 그 聖徒(성도)를 버리지 아니하심이로다 저희는 永永(영영)히 保護(보호)를 받으나 惡人(악인)의 子孫(자손)은 끊어지리로다

For the LORD loves the just and will not forsake his faithful ones. They will be protected forever, but the offspring of the wicked will be cut off;

For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.

29 義人(의인)이 땅을 차지함이여 거기 永永(영영)히 居(거)하리로다

the righteous will inherit the land and dwell in it forever.

The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

30 義人(의인)의 입은 智慧(지혜)를 말하고 그 혀는 公義(공의)를 이르며

The mouth of the righteous man utters wisdom, and his tongue speaks what is just.

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

31 그 마음에는 하나님의 法(법)이 있으니 그 걸음에 失足(실족)함이 없으리로다

The law of his God is in his heart; his feet do not slip.

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

32 惡人(악인)이 義人(의인)을 엿보아 殺害(살해)할 機會(기회)를 찾으나

The wicked lie in wait for the righteous, seeking their very lives;

The wicked watcheth the righteous, and seeketh to slay him.

33 여호와는 저를 그 손에 버려두지 아니하시고 裁判(재판) 때에도 定罪(정죄)치 아니하시리로다

but the LORD will not leave them in their power or let them be condemned when brought to trial.

The LORD will not leave him in his hand, nor condemn him when he is judged.

34 여호와를 바라고 그 道(도)를 지키라 그리하면 너를 들어 땅을 차지하게 하실 것이라 惡人(악인)이 끊어질 때에 네가 目覩(목도)하리로다

Wait for the LORD and keep his way. He will exalt you to inherit the land; when the wicked are cut off, you will see it.

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.

35 내가 惡人(악인)의 큰 勢力(세력)을 본즉 그 本土(본토)에 선 푸른나무의 茂盛(무성)함 같으나

I have seen a wicked and ruthless man flourishing like a green tree in its native soil,

I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

36 사람이 지날 때에 저가 없어졌으니 내가 찾아도 發見(발견)치 못하였도다

but he soon passed away and was no more; though I looked for him, he could not be found.

Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

37 完全(완전)한 사람을 살피고 正直(정직)한 者(자)를 볼찌어다 3)和平(화평)한 者(자)의 結局(결국)平安(평안)이로다
시37:11 시119:165 사57:2     3) 그 사람의 후예는

Consider the blameless, observe the upright; there is a future for the man of peace.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.

38 犯罪者(범죄자)들은 함께 滅亡(멸망)하리니 惡人(악인)의 4)結局(결국)은 끊어질 것이나

But all sinners will be destroyed; the future of the wicked will be cut off.

But the transgressors shall be destroyed together: the end of the wicked shall be cut off.

39 義人(의인)의 救援(구원)은 여호와께 있으니 그는 患難(환난) 때에 저희 山城(산성)이시로다

The salvation of the righteous comes from the LORD; he is their stronghold in time of trouble.

But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble.

40 여호와께서 저희를 도와 건지시되 惡人(악인)에게서 건져 救援(구원)하심은 를 依支(의지)한 緣故(연고)로다

The LORD helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.

And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him.
