So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Then cometh he to a city of Samaria, which is called Sychar, near to the parcel of ground that Jacob gave to his son Joseph. |

거기 또 야곱의 우물이 있더라 예수께서 行路(행로)에 ㅕ困(곤)하여 ㅗ우물 곁에 그대로 앉으시니 때가 第(제) 六時(육시)쯤 되었더라
Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour. Now Jacob's well was there. Jesus therefore, being wearied with his journey, sat thus on the well: and it was about the sixth hour. |

사마리아 女子(여자) 하나가 물을 길러 왔으매 예수께서 물을 좀 달라 하시니
When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?" There cometh a woman of Samaria to draw water: Jesus saith unto her, Give me to drink. |

이는 弟子(제자)들이 먹을 것을 사러 洞里(동리)에 들어갔음이러라
(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) (For his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat.) |

사마리아 女子(여자)가 가로되 當身(당신)은 유대人(인)으로서 어찌하여 사마리아 女子(여자) 나에게 물을 달라 하나이까 하니 ㅛ이는 유대人(인)이 사마리아人(인)과 相從(상종)치 아니함이러라
The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.) Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans. |

예수께서 對答(대답)하여 가라사대 네가 萬一(만일) 하나님의 膳物(선물)과 또 네게 물좀 달라 하는 이가 누구인줄 알았더면 네가 그에게 求(구)하였을 것이요 그가 ㅜ生水(생수)를 네게 주었으리라
Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water." Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water. |

女子(여자)가 가로되 主(주)여 물 길을 그릇도 없고 이 우물은 깊은데 어디서 이 生水(생수)를 얻겠삽나이까
Sir, the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water? |

우리 祖上(조상) ㅠ야곱이 이 우물을 우리에게 주었고 또 여기서 自己(자기)와 自己(자기) 아들들과 짐승이 다 먹었으니 으當身(당신)이 야곱보다 더 크니이까
Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?" Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle? |

예수께서 對答(대답)하여 가라사대 이 물을 먹는 者(자)마다 다시 목마르려니와
Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: |

이내가 주는 물을 먹는 者(자)는 永遠(영원)히 ㅐ목마르지 아니하리니 나의 주는 물은 그 ㄱ속에서 永生(영생)하도록 솟아나는 샘물이 되리라
but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life." But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. |

女子(여자)가 가로되 主(주)여 ㄴ이런 물을 내게 주사 목마르지도 않고 또 여기 물 길러 오지도 않게 하옵소서

The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water." The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw. |

女子(여자)가 對答(대답)하여 가로되 나는 男便(남편)이 없나이다 예수께서 가라사대 네가 男便(남편)이 없다 하는 말이 옳도다
I have no husband, she replied. Jesus said to her, "You are right when you say you have no husband. The woman answered and said, I have no husband. Jesus said unto her, Thou hast well said, I have no husband: |

네가 男便(남편) 다섯이 있었으나 지금 있는 者(자)는 네 男便(남편)이 아니니 네 말이 참되도다
The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true." For thou hast had five husbands; and he whom thou now hast is not thy husband: in that saidst thou truly. |

女子(여자)가 가로되 ㄹ主(주)여 내가 보니 ㅁ先知者(선지자)로소이다
Sir, the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet. The woman saith unto him, Sir, I perceive that thou art a prophet. |
20 |
ㅂ우리 祖上(조상)들은 ㅅ이 山(산)에서 禮拜(예배)하였는데 當身(당신)들의 말은 ㅇ禮拜(예배) 할 곳이 ㅈ예루살렘에 있다 하더이다
Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem." Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. |

예수께서 가라사대 ㅊ女子(여자)여 내말을 믿으라 이 山(산)에서도 말고 예루살렘에서도 말고 너희가 ㅋ아버지께 禮拜(예배)할 ㅌ때가 이르리라
Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. |

ㅍ너희는 알지 못하는 것을 禮拜(예배)하고 ㅎ우리는 아는 것을 禮拜(예배)하노니 이는 救援(구원)이 ㅏ유대人(인)에게서 남이니라
You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. |

아버지께 참으로 禮拜(예배)하는 者(자)들은 ㅑ神靈(신령)과 ㅓ眞情(진정)으로 禮拜(예배)할
ㅕ때가 오나니 곧 이 때라 아버지께서는 ㅗ이렇게 自己(자기)에게 禮拜(예배)하는 者(자)들을 찾으시느니라
Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. |

하나님은
靈(영)이시니 禮拜(예배)하는 者(자)가 神靈(신령)과 眞情(진정)으로 禮拜(예배)할찌니라
God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. |

女子(여자)가 가로되 ㅛ메시야 곧 그리스도라 하는 이가 오실 줄을 내가 아노니 그가 오시면 ㅜ모든 것을 우리에게 告(고)하시리이다
The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us." The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. |

● 이 때에 弟子(제자)들이 으돌아와서 예수께서 女子(여자)와 말씀하시는 것을 異常(이상)히 여겼으나 무엇을 求(구)하시나이까 어찌하여 저와 말씀하시나이까 묻는 이가 없더라

Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, "What do you want?" or "Why are you talking with her?" And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her? |

女子(여자)가 물동이를 버려두고 洞里(동리)에 들어가서 사람들에게 이르되
Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men, |

이나의 行(행)한 모든 일을 내게 말한 사람을 와 보라 이는 그리스도가 아니냐 하니
Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Christ? Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ? |

저희가 洞里(동리)에서 나와 예수께로 오더라
They came out of the town and made their way toward him. Then they went out of the city, and came unto him. |

그 사이에 弟子(제자)들이 請(청)하여 가로되 ㅐ랍비여 잡수소서

Meanwhile his disciples urged him, "Rabbi, eat something." In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. |

가라사대 내게는 너희가 알지 못하는 먹을 糧食(양식)이 있느니라
But he said to them, "I have food to eat that you know nothing about." But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. |
33 |
弟子(제자)들이 서로 말하되 ㄱ누가 잡수실 것을 갖다 드렸는가 한대
Then his disciples said to each other, "Could someone have brought him food?" Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? |

예수께서 이르시되 ㄴ나의 糧食(양식)은 ㄷ나를 보내신 이의 뜻을 行(행)하며 ㄹ그의 일을 穩全(온전)히
이루는 이것이니라
My food, said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work. |

너희가 넉 달이 지나야 秋收(추수)할 때가 이르겠다 하지 아니하느냐 내가 너희에게 이르노니 눈을 들어 밭을 보라 ㅁ희어져 秋收(추수)하게 되었도다
Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. |

거두는 者(자)가 이미 삯도 받고 永生(영생)에 이르는 열매를 모으나니 이는 ㅂ뿌리는 者(자)와 ㅅ거두는 者(자)가 함께
ㅇ즐거워 하게 하려 함이니라
Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together. |

그런즉 ㅈ한 사람이 심고 다른 사람이 거둔다 하는 말이 옳도다

욥31:8
Thus the saying 'One sows and another reaps' is true. And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth. |

내가 너희로 ㅊ努力(노력)지 아니한 것을 거두러 보내었노니 다른 사람들은 努力(노력)하였고 ㅋ너희는 그들의 努力(노력)한 것에 參與(참여)하였느니라
I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor." I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours. |

● ㅌ女子(여자)의 말이 ㅍ그가 나의 行(행)한 모든 것을 내게 말하였다 證據(증거)하므로 그 ㅎ洞里(동리) 中(중)에 많은 사마리아人(인)이
예수를 믿는지라
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman's testimony, "He told me everything I ever did." And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did. |

사마리아人(인)들이 예수께 와서 自己(자기)들과 함께 留(유)하기를 請(청)하니 거기서 이틀을 留(유)하시매
So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days. So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days. |

ㅏ예수의 말씀을 因(인)하여 믿는 者(자)가 더욱 많아

And because of his words many more became believers. And many more believed because of his own word; |

그 女子(여자)에게 말하되 이제 우리가 믿는 것은 네 말을 因(인)함이 아니니 이는 우리가 親(친)히 듣고 그가 참으로 ㅑ世上(세상)의 ㅓ救主(구주)신 줄
ㅕ앎이니라 하였더라
They said to the woman, "We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world." And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world. |

● ㅗ이틀이 지나매 예수께서 거기를 떠나 갈릴리로 가시며

After the two days he left for Galilee. Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee. |

갈릴리에 이르시매 갈릴리人(인)들이 그를 迎接(영접)하니 이는 自己(자기)들도 名節(명절)에 갔다가 예수께서 名節(명절) 中(중) ㅜ예루살렘에서 하신
ㅠ모든 일을 보았음이더라
When he arrived in Galilee, the Galileans welcomed him. They had seen all that he had done in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, for they also had been there. Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast. |

● 예수께서 다시 갈릴리 으가나에 이르시니 이前(전)에 물로 葡萄酒(포도주)를 만드신 곳이라 王(왕)의 臣下(신하)가 있어 그 아들이 가버나움에서 病(병)들었더니
Once more he visited Cana in Galilee, where he had turned the water into wine. And there was a certain royal official whose son lay sick at Capernaum. So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum. |

그가 ㅐ예수께서 유대로부터 갈릴리에 오심을 듣고 가서 請(청)하되 내려오셔서 내 아들의 病(병)을 고쳐 주소서 하니 저가 거의 죽게 되었음이라
When this man heard that Jesus had arrived in Galilee from Judea, he went to him and begged him to come and heal his son, who was close to death. When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death. |

예수께서 가라사대 ㄱ너희는 1)標蹟(표적)과 奇事(기사)를 보지 못하면 도무지 믿지
아니하리라
Unless you people see miraculous signs and wonders, Jesus told him, "you will never believe." Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. |

臣下(신하)가 가로되 ㄴ主(주)여 내 아이가 죽기 前(전)에 내려오소서
The royal official said, "Sir, come down before my child dies." The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. |
50 |
예수께서 가라사대 가라 네 아들이 살았다 하신대 그 사람이 예수의 하신 말씀을 믿고 가더니
Jesus replied, "You may go. Your son will live." The man took Jesus at his word and departed. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way. |

내려가는 길에서 그 종들이 오다가 만나서 아이가 살았다 하거늘
While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living. And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth. |
52 |
그 낫기 始作(시작)한 때를 물은즉 어제 第(제) 七時(칠시)에 熱氣(열기)가 떨어졌나이다 하는지라
When he inquired as to the time when his son got better, they said to him, "The fever left him yesterday at the seventh hour." Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him. |

아비가 예수께서 네 아들이 살았다 말씀하신 그 때인 줄 알고 自己(자기)와 그 ㄷ온 집이 다 믿으니라
Then the father realized that this was the exact time at which Jesus had said to him, "Your son will live." So he and all his household believed. So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house. |
54 |
ㄹ이것은 예수께서 유대에서 갈릴리로 오신 後(후) 行(행)하신 두 번째 標蹟(표적)이니라
This was the second miraculous sign that Jesus performed, having come from Judea to Galilee. This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee. |
