前(전)에 苦痛(고통)하던 者(자)에게는 으黑暗(흑암)이 없으리로다 옛적에는 여호와께서 이스불론 땅과 납달리 땅으로
ㅐ蔑視(멸시)를 當(당)케 하셨더니 後(후)에는 海邊(해변)길과 요단 저便(편) 異邦(이방)의 1)갈릴리를
ㄱ榮華(영화)롭게 하셨느니라
Nevertheless, there will be no more gloom for those who were in distress. In the past he humbled the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, but in the future he will honor Galilee of the Gentiles, by the way of the sea, along the Jordan-- Nevertheless the dimness shall not be such as was in her vexation, when at the first he lightly afflicted the land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, and afterward did more grievously afflict her by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, in Galilee of the nations. |

ㄴ黑暗(흑암)에 行(행)하던 百姓(백성)이 큰 빛을 보고 ㄷ死亡(사망)의 그늘진 땅에 居(거)하던 者(자)에게 빛이 비취도다
The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned. The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined. |

ㄹ主(주)께서 이 나라를 昌盛(창성)케 하시며 그 즐거움을 더하게 하셨으므로 ㅁ秋收(추수)하는 즐거움과 ㅂ奪取物(탈취물)을 나누는
때의 ㅅ즐거움 같이 그들이 主(주)의 앞에서 즐거워하오니
You have enlarged the nation and increased their joy; they rejoice before you as people rejoice at the harvest, as men rejoice when dividing the plunder. Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil. |

이는 그들의 무겁게 멘 ㅇ멍에와 그 ㅈ어깨의 채찍과 그 壓制者(압제자)의 막대기를 꺾으시되 ㅊ미디안의 날과 같이 하셨음이니이다
For as in the day of Midian's defeat, you have shattered the yoke that burdens them, the bar across their shoulders, the rod of their oppressor. For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian. |

어지러이 ㅋ싸우는 軍人(군인)의 甲(갑)옷과 피묻은 服裝(복장)이 불에 섶 같이 살라지리니

Every warrior's boot used in battle and every garment rolled in blood will be destined for burning, will be fuel for the fire. For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire. |

ㅌ이는 한 아기가 우리에게 났고 한 ㅍ아들을 우리에게 주신바 되었는데 그 ㅎ어깨에는 ㅏ政事(정사)를 메었고 그 이름은 奇妙者(기묘자)라 ㅑ謀士(모사)라 ㅓ全能(전능)하신 하나님이라 ㅕ永存(영존)하시는 ㅗ아버지라
ㅛ平康(평강)의 王(왕)이라 할것임이라
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. |

그 政事(정사)와 平康(평강)의 더함이 ㅜ無窮(무궁)하며 또 다윗의 位(위)에
앉아서 그 나라를 굳게 세우고 自今(자금) 이 後(후) 永遠(영원)토록 ㅠ公平(공평)과 正義(정의)로 그것을 保存(보존)하실 것이라 萬軍(만군)의 여호와의
으熱心(열심)이 이를 이루시리라
Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this. Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this. |

● 主(주)께서 야곱에게 말씀을 보내시며 그것을 이스라엘에게 臨(임)하게 하셨은즉
The Lord has sent a message against Jacob; it will fall on Israel. The Lord sent a word into Jacob, and it hath lighted upon Israel. |

모든 百姓(백성) 곧 이에브라임과 사마리아 居民(거민)이 알 것이어늘 그들이 驕慢(교만)하고 頑惡(완악)한 마음으로 말하기를
All the people will know it--Ephraim and the inhabitants of Samaria--who say with pride and arrogance of heart, And all the people shall know, even Ephraim and the inhabitant of Samaria, that say in the pride and stoutness of heart, |

벽돌이 무너졌으나 우리는 다듬은 돌로 쌓고 뽕나무들이 찍혔으나 우리는 柏香木(백향목)으로 그것을 代身(대신)하리라 하도다
The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild with dressed stone; the fig trees have been felled, but we will replace them with cedars. The bricks are fallen down, but we will build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, but we will change them into cedars. |

그러므로 여호와께서 르신의 對敵(대적)을 일으켜 그를 치게 하시며 그 怨讐(원수)들을 激動(격동)시키시리니
But the LORD has strengthened Rezin's foes against them and has spurred their enemies on. Therefore the LORD shall set up the adversaries of Rezin against him, and join his enemies together; |

앞에는 ㅐ아람 사람이요 뒤에는 ㄱ블레셋 사람이라 그들이 그 입을 벌려 이스라엘을 삼키리라 ㄴ그럴찌라도 여호와의 怒(노)가 쉬지 아니하며 그 손이
如前(여전)히 펴지리라
Arameans from the east and Philistines from the west have devoured Israel with open mouth. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. The Syrians before, and the Philistines behind; and they shall devour Israel with open mouth. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. |

● 이 百姓(백성)이 오히려 自己(자기)들을 ㄷ치시는 者(자)에게로 돌아오지 아니하며 萬軍(만군)의 여호와를 찾지 아니하도다
But the people have not returned to him who struck them, nor have they sought the LORD Almighty. For the people turneth not unto him that smiteth them, neither do they seek the LORD of hosts. |
14 |
이러므로 여호와께서 하루 사이에 이스라엘 中(중)에서 ㄹ머리와 꼬리며 棕櫚(종려) 가지와 갈대를 끊으시리니
So the LORD will cut off from Israel both head and tail, both palm branch and reed in a single day; Therefore the LORD will cut off from Israel head and tail, branch and rush, in one day. |

머리는 곧 ㅁ長老(장로)와 尊貴(존귀)한 者(자)요 꼬리는 곧 ㅂ거짓말을 가르치는 先知者(선지자)라
the elders and prominent men are the head, the prophets who teach lies are the tail. The ancient and honourable, he is the head; and the prophet that teacheth lies, he is the tail. |

百姓(백성)을 引導(인도)하는 者(자)가 그들로 迷惑(미혹)케 하니 引導(인도)를 받는 者(자)가 滅亡(멸망)을 當(당)하는도다
Those who guide this people mislead them, and those who are guided are led astray. For the leaders of this people cause them to err; and they that are led of them are destroyed. |

이 百姓(백성)이 各其(각기) ㅅ褻慢(설만)하며 惡(악)을 行(행)하며 입으로 ㅇ妄靈(망령)되이 말하니 그러므로 主(주)께서 ㅈ그 壯丁(장정)을 기뻐 아니하시며 그 孤兒(고아)와 寡婦(과부)를 矜恤(긍휼)히 여기지 아니하시리라 그럴찌라도 여호와의 怒(노)가 쉬지 아니하며 그 손이 如前(여전)히 펴지리라
Therefore the Lord will take no pleasure in the young men, nor will he pity the fatherless and widows, for everyone is ungodly and wicked, every mouth speaks vileness. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. Therefore the Lord shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their fatherless and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. |

● 大抵(대저) 惡行(악행)은 ㅊ불 태우는것 같으니 곧 질려와 荊棘(형극)을
삼키며 빽빽한 수풀을 살라서 煙氣(연기)로 위로 올라가게 함과 같은 것이라
Surely wickedness burns like a fire; it consumes briers and thorns, it sets the forest thickets ablaze, so that it rolls upward in a column of smoke. For wickedness burneth as the fire: it shall devour the briers and thorns, and shall kindle in the thickets of the forest, and they shall mount up like the lifting up of smoke. |

萬軍(만군)의 여호와의 震怒(진노)로 因(인)하여 이 땅이 燒火(소화)되리니 ㅋ百姓(백성)은 불에 타는 섶나무와 같을 것이라 ㅌ사람이 그 兄弟(형제)를 아끼지 아니하며
By the wrath of the LORD Almighty the land will be scorched and the people will be fuel for the fire; no one will spare his brother. Through the wrath of the LORD of hosts is the land darkened, and the people shall be as the fuel of the fire: no man shall spare his brother. |

ㅍ右便(우편)으로 움킬찌라도 주리고 左便(좌편)으로 먹을찌라도 배부르지 못하여 ㅎ各各(각각) 自己(자기) 팔의 고기를 먹을 것이며
On the right they will devour, but still be hungry; on the left they will eat, but not be satisfied. Each will feed on the flesh of his own offspring: And he shall snatch on the right hand, and be hungry; and he shall eat on the left hand, and they shall not be satisfied: they shall eat every man the flesh of his own arm: |

므낫세는 에브라임을 에브라임은 므낫세를 먹을 것이요 또 그들이 合(합)하여 ㅏ유다를 치리라 ㅑ그럴찌라도 여호와의 怒(노)가 쉬지 아니하며 그 손이 如前(여전)히 펴지리라
Manasseh will feed on Ephraim, and Ephraim on Manasseh; together they will turn against Judah. Yet for all this, his anger is not turned away, his hand is still upraised. Manasseh, Ephraim; and Ephraim, Manasseh: and they together shall be against Judah. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. |
