智慧(지혜) 있는 者(자)의 혀는 知識(지식)을 善(선)히 베풀고 ㅈ미련한 者(자)의 입은 미련한 것을 쏟느니라
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouth of the fool gushes folly. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness. |

The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good. The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good. |

ㅋ溫良(온량)한 혀는 곧 ㅌ生命(생명)나무라도 ㅍ悖戾(패려)한 혀는 ㅎ마음을 傷(상)하게 하느니라
The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit. A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit. |

ㅏ아비의 訓戒(훈계)를 업신여기는 者(자)는 ㅑ미련한 者(자)요 ㅓ警戒(경계)를 받는 者(자)는 슬기를 얻을 者(자)니라
A fool spurns his father's discipline, but whoever heeds correction shows prudence. A fool despiseth his father's instruction: but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. |

義人(의인)의 집에는 많은 寶物(보물)이 있어도 惡人(악인)의 所得(소득)은 苦痛(고통)이 되느니라
The house of the righteous contains great treasure, but the income of the wicked brings them trouble. In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble. |

ㅕ智慧(지혜)로운 者(자)의 입술은 知識(지식)을 傳播(전파)하여도 미련한 者(자)의 마음은 定(정)함이 없느니라
The lips of the wise spread knowledge; not so the hearts of fools. The lips of the wise disperse knowledge: but the heart of the foolish doeth not so. |

ㅗ惡人(악인)의 祭祀(제사)는 여호와께서 미워하셔도 ㅛ正直(정직)한 者(자)의 祈禱(기도)는 그가 기뻐하시느니라
The LORD detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but the prayer of the upright pleases him. The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD: but the prayer of the upright is his delight. |

惡人(악인)의 길은 여호와께서 미워하셔도 ㅜ義(의)를 따라가는 者(자)는 그가 사랑하시느니라
The LORD detests the way of the wicked but he loves those who pursue righteousness. The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. |

ㅠ道(도)를 背叛(배반)하는 者(자)는 嚴(엄)한 懲戒(징계)를 받을 것이요 으譴責(견책)을 싫어하는 者(자)는 죽을 것이니라
Stern discipline awaits him who leaves the path; he who hates correction will die. Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die. |

이陰府(음부)와 1)幽冥(유명)도 여호와의 앞에 드러나거든 하물며 ㅐ人生(인생)의 마음이리요
Death and Destruction lie open before the LORD--how much more the hearts of men! Hell and destruction are before the LORD: how much more then the hearts of the children of men? |

ㄱ倨慢(거만)한 者(자)는 ㄴ譴責(견책) 받기를 좋아하지 아니하며 智慧(지혜) 있는 者(자)에게로 가지도 아니하느니라
A mocker resents correction; he will not consult the wise. A scorner loveth not one that reproveth him: neither will he go unto the wise. |

ㄷ마음의 즐거움은 얼굴을 빛나게 하여도 ㄹ마음의 근심은 心靈(심령)을 ㅁ傷(상)하게 하느니라
A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit. A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken. |

ㅂ明哲(명철)한 者(자)의 마음은 知識(지식)을 要求(요구)하고 미련한 者(자)의 입은 미련한 것을 즐기느니라
The discerning heart seeks knowledge, but the mouth of a fool feeds on folly. The heart of him that hath understanding seeketh knowledge: but the mouth of fools feedeth on foolishness. |

苦難(고난) 받는 者(자)는 그 날이 다 險惡(험악)하나 ㅅ마음이 즐거운 者(자)는 恒常(항상) 잔치하느니라

ㅇ家産(가산)이 적어도 여호와를 敬畏(경외)하는 것이 크게 富(부)하고 煩惱(번뇌)하는 것보다 나으니라
Better a little with the fear of the LORD than great wealth with turmoil. Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith. |

如干(여간) ㅈ菜蔬(채소)를 먹으며 서로 사랑하는 것이 ㅊ살진 소를 먹으며 서로 미워하는 것보다 나으니라
Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred. Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith. |

ㅋ忿(분)을 쉽게 내는 者(자)는 다툼을 일으켜도 ㅌ怒(노)하기를 더디하는 者(자)는 是非(시비)를 그치게 하느니라
A hot-tempered man stirs up dissension, but a patient man calms a quarrel. A wrathful man stirreth up strife: but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife. |

ㅍ게으른 者(자)의 길은 ㅎ가시 울타리 같으나 正直(정직)한 者(자)의 길은 ㅏ大路(대로)니라
The way of the sluggard is blocked with thorns, but the path of the upright is a highway. The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain. |

ㅑ智慧(지혜)로운 아들은 아비를 즐겁게 하여도 미련한 者(자)는 어미를 업신여기느니라

無知(무지)한 者(자)는 ㅓ미련한 것을 즐겨하여도 明哲(명철)한 者(자)는 그 ㅕ길을 바르게 하느니라
Folly delights a man who lacks judgment, but a man of understanding keeps a straight course. Folly is joy to him that is destitute of wisdom: but a man of understanding walketh uprightly. |

ㅗ議論(의논)이 없으면 經營(경영)이 破(파)하고 謀士(모사)가 많으면 經營(경영)이
成立(성립)하느니라
Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed. Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are established. |

사람은 그 입의 對答(대답)으로 말미암아 기쁨을 얻나니 ㅛ때에 맞은 말이 얼마나 아름다운고
A man finds joy in giving an apt reply--and how good is a timely word! A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it! |

ㅜ智慧(지혜)로운 者(자)는 위로 向(향)한 生命(생명)길로 말미암음으로 그 아래 있는 陰府(음부)를 떠나게 되느니라
The path of life leads upward for the wise to keep him from going down to the grave. The way of life is above to the wise, that he may depart from hell beneath. |

여호와는 ㅠ驕慢(교만)한 者(자)의 집을 허시며 으寡婦(과부)의 地界(지계)를
이定(정)하시느니라
The LORD tears down the proud man's house but he keeps the widow's boundaries intact. The LORD will destroy the house of the proud: but he will establish the border of the widow. |

ㅐ惡(악)한 꾀는 여호와의 미워하시는 것이라도 ㄱ善(선)한 말은 淨潔(정결)하니라
The LORD detests the thoughts of the wicked, but those of the pure are pleasing to him. The thoughts of the wicked are an abomination to the LORD: but the words of the pure are pleasant words. |

ㄴ利(이)를 貪(탐)하는 者(자)는 ㄷ自己(자기) 집을 害(해)롭게 하나 ㄹ賂物(뇌물)을 싫어하는 者(자)는
사느니라
A greedy man brings trouble to his family, but he who hates bribes will live. He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live. |

義人(의인)의 마음은 ㅁ對答(대답)할 말을 깊이 생각하여도 ㅂ惡人(악인)의 입은 惡(악)을 쏟느니라
The heart of the righteous weighs its answers, but the mouth of the wicked gushes evil. The heart of the righteous studieth to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things. |

여호와는 ㅅ惡人(악인)을 멀리 하시고 ㅇ義人(의인)의 祈禱(기도)를 들으시느니라
The LORD is far from the wicked but he hears the prayer of the righteous. The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous. |
30 |
ㅈ눈의 밝은 것은 마음을 기쁘게 하고 ㅊ좋은 奇別(기별)은 뼈를 潤澤(윤택)하게 하느니라
A cheerful look brings joy to the heart, and good news gives health to the bones. The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart: and a good report maketh the bones fat. |

ㅋ生命(생명)의 警戒(경계)를 듣는 ㅌ귀는 智慧(지혜)로운 者(자) 가운데 있느니라
He who listens to a life-giving rebuke will be at home among the wise. The ear that heareth the reproof of life abideth among the wise. |
32 |
ㅍ訓戒(훈계) 받기를 싫어하는 者(자)는 ㅎ自己(자기)의 靈魂(영혼)을 輕(경)히
여김이라 譴責(견책)을 달게 받는 者(자)는 ㅏ知識(지식)을 얻느니라
He who ignores discipline despises himself, but whoever heeds correction gains understanding. He that refuseth instruction despiseth his own soul: but he that heareth reproof getteth understanding. |
33 |
ㅑ여호와를 敬畏(경외)하는 것은 智慧(지혜)의 訓戒(훈계)라 ㅓ謙遜(겸손)은 尊貴(존귀)의 앞잡이니라
The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor. The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility. |
