1 [聖殿(성전)으로 올라가는 노래] 내가 患難(환난) 中(중)에 여호와께 부르짖었더니 내게 應答(응답)하셨도다

A song of ascents. I call on the LORD in my distress, and he answers me.

{A Song of degrees.} In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.

2 여호와여 거짓된 입술과 詭詐(궤사)한 혀에서 내 生命(생명)을 건지소서

Save me, O LORD, from lying lips and from deceitful tongues.

Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

3 詭詐(궤사)한 혀여 무엇으로 네게 주며 무엇으로 네게 더할꼬

What will he do to you, and what more besides, O deceitful tongue?

What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?

4 壯士(장사)날카로운 로뎀나무 숯불이리로다

He will punish you with a warrior's sharp arrows, with burning coals of the broom tree.

Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

5 메섹에 留(유)하며 게달의 帳幕(장막) 中(중)에 居(거)하는 것이 내게 禍(화)로다

Woe to me that I dwell in Meshech, that I live among the tents of Kedar!

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

6 내가 和平(화평)을 미워하는 者(자)와 함께 오래 居(거)하였도다

Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.

My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.

7 나는 和平(화평)을 願(원)할찌라도 내가 말할 때에 저희는 싸우려 하는도다

I am a man of peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
