ㅗ智慧(지혜)로운 者(자)가 어찌 ㅛ헛된 知識(지식)으로 對答(대답)하겠느냐 어찌 ㅜ東風(동풍)으로 그 ㅠ품에 채우겠느냐
Would a wise man answer with empty notions or fill his belly with the hot east wind? Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind? |

어찌 有助(유조)치 아니한 이야기, 無益(무익)한 말로 辯論(변론)하겠느냐
Would he argue with useless words, with speeches that have no value? Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good? |

참으로 네가 하나님 敬畏(경외)하는 일을 廢(폐)하여 으하나님 앞에 默禱(묵도)하기를 그치게 하는구나

But you even undermine piety and hinder devotion to God. Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God. |

네 罪惡(죄악)이 네 입을 가르치나니 네가 奸詐(간사)한 者(자)의 혀를 擇(택)하였구나
Your sin prompts your mouth; you adopt the tongue of the crafty. For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty. |

이너를 定罪(정죄)한 것은 내가 아니요 네 입이라 ㅐ네 입술이 너를 쳐서 證據(증거)하느니라
Your own mouth condemns you, not mine; your own lips testify against you. Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee. |

● ㄱ네가 第一(제일) 처음 난 사람이냐 ㄴ山(산)들이 있기 前(전)에
ㄷ네가 出生(출생)하였느냐
Are you the first man ever born? Were you brought forth before the hills? Art thou the first man that was born? or wast thou made before the hills? |

ㄹ하나님의 謀議(모의)를 네가 들었느냐 智慧(지혜)를 홀로 가졌느냐
Do you listen in on God's council? Do you limit wisdom to yourself? Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself? |
9 |
ㅁ너의 아는 것이 무엇이기로 우리가 알지 못하겠느냐 너의 깨달은 것이 무엇이기로 우리에게는 없겠느냐
What do you know that we do not know? What insights do you have that we do not have? What knowest thou, that we know not? what understandest thou, which is not in us? |

ㅂ우리 中(중)에는 머리가 세기도 하고 年老(연로)하기도 하여 네 父親(부친)보다 나이 많은 者(자)가 있느니라
The gray-haired and the aged are on our side, men even older than your father. With us are both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father. |
11 |
하나님의 慰勞(위로)와 네게 溫柔(온유)하게 하시는 말씀을 네가 어찌 작다 하느냐
Are God's consolations not enough for you, words spoken gently to you? Are the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee? |
12 |
어찌하여 네가 마음에 끌리며 네 눈을 번쩍여
Why has your heart carried you away, and why do your eyes flash, Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at, |
13 |
ㅅ네 靈(영)으로 하나님을 反對(반대)하고 네 입으로 말들을 내느냐

욥21:4
so that you vent your rage against God and pour out such words from your mouth? That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest such words go out of thy mouth? |
14 |
ㅇ사람이 무엇이관대 ㅈ깨끗하겠느냐 ㅊ女人(여인)에게서 난 者(자)가 무엇이관대 義(의)롭겠느냐
What is man, that he could be pure, or one born of woman, that he could be righteous? What is man, that he should be clean? and he which is born of a woman, that he should be righteous? |

하나님은 그 ㅋ거룩한 者(자)들을 ㅌ믿지 아니 하시나니 하늘이라도 그의 보시기에
不淨(부정)하거든
If God places no trust in his holy ones, if even the heavens are not pure in his eyes, Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. |

ㅍ하물며 ㅎ惡(악)을 짓기를 물 마심 같이 하는 可憎(가증)하고 ㅏ腐敗(부패)한 사람이겠느냐
how much less man, who is vile and corrupt, who drinks up evil like water! How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water? |

● 내가 네게 보이리니 나를 들으라 내가 본 것을 說明(설명)하리라
Listen to me and I will explain to you; let me tell you what I have seen, I will shew thee, hear me; and that which I have seen I will declare; |
18 |
이는 곧 智慧(지혜)로운 者(자)들이 ㅑ그 列祖(열조)에게서 받아 숨기지 아니하고 傳(전)하여 온 것이라
what wise men have declared, hiding nothing received from their fathers Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid it: |
19 |
이 땅은 그들에게만 주셨으므로 ㅓ外人(외인)은 그들 中(중)에 往來(왕래)하지 못하였었느니라

(to whom alone the land was given when no alien passed among them): Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them. |
20 |
그 말에 이르기를 惡人(악인)은 그 一平生(일평생)에 苦痛(고통)을 當(당)하며 ㅕ强暴者(강포자)의 ㅗ햇수는 作定(작정)되었으므로
All his days the wicked man suffers torment, the ruthless through all the years stored up for him. The wicked man travaileth with pain all his days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor. |
21 |
ㅛ그 귀에는 놀라운 소리가 들리고 ㅜ그 亨通(형통)할 때에 滅亡(멸망)시키는 者(자)가 그에게 臨(임)하리니
Terrifying sounds fill his ears; when all seems well, marauders attack him. A dreadful sound is in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him. |
22 |
그가 어두운 데서 나오기를 바라지 못하고 칼날의 기다림이 되느니라
He despairs of escaping the darkness; he is marked for the sword. He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword. |
23 |
그는 ㅠ流離(유리)하며 植物(식물)을 求(구)하여 이르기를 어디 있느냐 하며 黑暗(흑암)한 날이 가까운 줄을 스스로 아느니라
He wanders about--food for vultures; he knows the day of darkness is at hand. He wandereth abroad for bread, saying, Where is it? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand. |

患難(환난)과 苦痛(고통)이 그를 두렵게 하며 싸움을 準備(준비)한 王(왕)처럼 으그를 쳐서 이기리니

Distress and anguish fill him with terror; they overwhelm him, like a king poised to attack, Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle. |
25 |
이는 그 손을 들어 하나님을 對敵(대적)하며 驕慢(교만)하여 全能者(전능자)를 背叛(배반)함이니라
because he shakes his fist at God and vaunts himself against the Almighty, For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty. |
26 |
그는 이목을 굳게 하고 두터운 防牌(방패)로 하나님을 치려고 ㅐ달려가나니
defiantly charging against him with a thick, strong shield. He runneth upon him, even on his neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers: |
27 |
ㄱ그 얼굴에는 살이 찌고 허리에는 기름이 엉기었고
ㄱ

Though his face is covered with fat and his waist bulges with flesh, Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on his flanks. |
28 |
그는 荒蕪(황무)한 城邑(성읍), 사람이 살지 아니하는 집, 돌 무더기가 될 곳에 居(거)하였음이니라
he will inhabit ruined towns and houses where no one lives, houses crumbling to rubble. And he dwelleth in desolate cities, and in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps. |
29 |
그는 富饒(부요)하지 못하고 財産(재산)이 恒常(항상) 있지 못하며 그 産業(산업)이 땅에서 增殖(증식)하지 못할 것이며
He will no longer be rich and his wealth will not endure, nor will his possessions spread over the land. He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth. |
30 |
黑暗(흑암)한 데를 떠나지 못하리니 불꽃이 그 가지를 말릴 것이라 ㄴ하나님의 입김에 그가 떠나리라

욥4:9
He will not escape the darkness; a flame will wither his shoots, and the breath of God's mouth will carry him away. He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away. |

그는 스스로 속아 虛妄(허망)한 것을 믿지 말 것은 ㄷ虛妄(허망)한 것이 그의 報應(보응)이 될 것임이라

사59:4
Let him not deceive himself by trusting what is worthless, for he will get nothing in return. Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompence. |
32 |
ㄹ그의 날이 이르기 前(전)에 그 일이 이룰 것인즉 그 가지가 푸르지 못하리니
Before his time he will be paid in full, and his branches will not flourish. It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green. |
33 |
葡萄(포도)열매가 익기 前(전)에 떨어짐 같고 橄欖(감람)꽃이 곧 떨어짐 같으리라
He will be like a vine stripped of its unripe grapes, like an olive tree shedding its blossoms. He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive. |
34 |
ㅁ邪曲(사곡)한 무리는 結實(결실)이 없고 ㅂ賂物(뇌물)을 받는 者(자)의 帳幕(장막)은 불탈 것이라
For the company of the godless will be barren, and fire will consume the tents of those who love bribes. For the congregation of hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. |
35 |
그들은 ㅅ惡(악)한 생각을 배고 不義(불의)를 낳으며 ㅇ마음에 詭譎(궤휼)을 豫備(예비)한다 하였느니라
They conceive trouble and give birth to evil; their womb fashions deceit." They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit. |
