스데반이 가로되 여러분 ㄷ父兄(부형)들이여 들으소서 우리 祖上(조상) 아브라함이 ㄹ하란에 있기 前(전) 메소보다미아에 있을 때에
ㅁ榮光(영광)의 ㅂ하나님이 그에게 보여
To this he replied: "Brothers and fathers, listen to me! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran. And he said, Men, brethren, and fathers, hearken; The God of glory appeared unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran, |

가라사대 네 ㅅ故鄕(고향)과 親戚(친척)을 떠나 내가 네게 보일 땅으로 가라 하시니

'Leave your country and your people,' God said, 'and go to the land I will show you.' And said unto him, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and come into the land which I shall shew thee. |

아브라함이 갈대아 사람의 땅을 떠나 하란에 居(거)하다가 그 ㅇ아비가 죽으매 ㅈ하나님이 그를 거기서 너희
時方(시방)
居(거)하는 이 땅으로 옮기셨느니라
So he left the land of the Chaldeans and settled in Haran. After the death of his father, God sent him to this land where you are now living. Then came he out of the land of the Chaldaeans, and dwelt in Charran: and from thence, when his father was dead, he removed him into this land, wherein ye now dwell. |

그러나 여기서 발 붙일 만큼도 遺業(유업)을 주지 아니하시고 다만 이 땅을 ㅊ아직 子息(자식)도 없는 ㅋ저와 저의 씨에게
所有(소유)로 주신다고 約束(약속)하셨으며
He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground. But God promised him that he and his descendants after him would possess the land, even though at that time Abraham had no child. And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child. |

하나님이 또 이같이 말씀하시되 ㅌ그 씨가 ㅍ다른 땅에 나그네 되리니 그 땅
사람이 종을 삼아 ㅎ四百(사백) 年(년) 동안을 괴롭게 하리라 하시고
God spoke to him in this way: 'Your descendants will be strangers in a country not their own, and they will be enslaved and mistreated four hundred years. And God spake on this wise, That his seed should sojourn in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat them evil four hundred years. |

또 가라사대 종
삼는 나라를 ㅏ내가 審判(심판)하리니 그 後(후)에 저희가 나와서 ㅑ이 곳에서 나를 섬기리라 하시고
But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves,' God said, 'and afterward they will come out of that country and worship me in this place.' And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place. |

ㅓ割禮(할례)의 言約(언약)을 아브라함에게 주셨더니 ㅕ그가 이삭을 낳아 여드레만에 ㅗ割禮(할례)를 行(행)하고 ㅛ이삭이 야곱을 ㅜ야곱이 우리 열 두 祖上(조상)을 낳으니
Then he gave Abraham the covenant of circumcision. And Abraham became the father of Isaac and circumcised him eight days after his birth. Later Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs. And he gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat the twelve patriarchs. |

여러 祖上(조상)이 ㅠ요셉을 猜忌(시기)하여 으애굽에 팔았더니 이하나님이 저와 함께 계셔
Because the patriarchs were jealous of Joseph, they sold him as a slave into Egypt. But God was with him And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, |

그 모든 患難(환난)에서 건져내사 애굽 王(왕) 바로 앞에서 ㅐ恩寵(은총)과 智慧(지혜)를 주시매 ㄱ바로가 저를 애굽과
自己(자기) 온 집의 治理者(치리자)로 세웠느니라
and rescued him from all his troubles. He gave Joseph wisdom and enabled him to gain the goodwill of Pharaoh king of Egypt; so he made him ruler over Egypt and all his palace. And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house. |

그 때에 ㄴ애굽과 가나안 온 땅에 凶年(흉년) 들어 큰 患難(환난)이 있을새 우리 祖上(조상)들이 糧食(양식)이 없는지라
Then a famine struck all Egypt and Canaan, bringing great suffering, and our fathers could not find food. Now there came a dearth over all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance. |

ㄷ야곱이 애굽에 穀食(곡식)있다는 말을 듣고 먼저 우리 祖上(조상)들을 보내고

When Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent our fathers on their first visit. But when Jacob heard that there was corn in Egypt, he sent out our fathers first. |

ㄹ또 再次(재차) 보내매 ㅁ요셉이 自己(자기) 兄弟(형제)들에게 알게 되고 또 ㅂ요셉의 親族(친족)이 바로에게 드러나게 되니라
On their second visit, Joseph told his brothers who he was, and Pharaoh learned about Joseph's family. And at the second time Joseph was made known to his brethren; and Joseph's kindred was made known unto Pharaoh. |

ㅅ요셉이 보내어 그 父親(부친) 야곱과 온 親族(친족) ㅇ일흔 다섯 사람을 請(청)하였더니
After this, Joseph sent for his father Jacob and his whole family, seventy-five in all. Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, threescore and fifteen souls. |

ㅈ야곱이 애굽으로 내려가 自己(자기)와 ㅊ우리 祖上(조상)들이 거기서 ㅋ죽고
Then Jacob went down to Egypt, where he and our fathers died. So Jacob went down into Egypt, and died, he, and our fathers, |
16 |
ㅌ세겜으로 옮기워 ㅍ아브라함이 세겜 하몰의 子孫(자손)에게서 銀(은)으로 값주고 산 무덤에 葬事(장사)되니라
Their bodies were brought back to Shechem and placed in the tomb that Abraham had bought from the sons of Hamor at Shechem for a certain sum of money. And were carried over into Sychem, and laid in the sepulchre that Abraham bought for a sum of money of the sons of Emmor the father of Sychem. |
17 |
ㅎ하나님이 아브라함에게 約束(약속)하신 때가 가까우매 ㅏ이스라엘 百姓(백성)이 애굽에서 蕃盛(번성)하여 많아졌더니
As the time drew near for God to fulfill his promise to Abraham, the number of our people in Egypt greatly increased. But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt, |

ㅑ요셉을 알지 못하는 새 임금이 애굽 王位(왕위)에 오르매

Then another king, who knew nothing about Joseph, became ruler of Egypt. Till another king arose, which knew not Joseph. |

ㅓ그가 우리 族屬(족속)에게 詭計(궤계)를 써서 祖上(조상)들을 괴롭게 하여 ㅕ그 어린 아이들을 내어버려 살지
못하게 하려 할새
He dealt treacherously with our people and oppressed our forefathers by forcing them to throw out their newborn babies so that they would die. The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and evil entreated our fathers, so that they cast out their young children, to the end they might not live. |

ㅗ그 때에 모세가 났는데 하나님 보시기에 ㅛ아름다운지라 그 父親(부친)의 집에서 석 달을 길리우더니
At that time Moses was born, and he was no ordinary child. For three months he was cared for in his father's house. In which time Moses was born, and was exceeding fair, and nourished up in his father's house three months: |

ㅜ버리운 後(후)에 바로의 딸이 가져다가 自己(자기) 아들로 기르매

When he was placed outside, Pharaoh's daughter took him and brought him up as her own son. And when he was cast out, Pharaoh's daughter took him up, and nourished him for her own son. |

모세가 ㅠ애굽 사람의 學術(학술)을 다 으배워 이그 말과 行事(행사)가
能(능)하더라
Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in speech and action. And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds. |

나이 四十(사십)이 되매 ㅐ그 兄弟(형제) 이스라엘 子孫(자손)을 돌아볼 생각이 나더니

When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his fellow Israelites. And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel. |

한 사람의 寃痛(원통)한 일 當(당)함을 보고 保護(보호)하여 壓制(압제)받는 者(자)를 爲(위)하여 怨讐(원수)를 갚아 애굽
사람을 쳐 죽이니라
He saw one of them being mistreated by an Egyptian, so he went to his defense and avenged him by killing the Egyptian. And seeing one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and avenged him that was oppressed, and smote the Egyptian: |
25 |
저는 그 兄弟(형제)들이 하나님께서 自己(자기)의 손을 빌어 救援(구원)하여 주시는 것을 깨달으리라고 생각하였으나 저희가 깨닫지 못하였더라
Moses thought that his own people would realize that God was using him to rescue them, but they did not. For he supposed his brethren would have understood how that God by his hand would deliver them: but they understood not. |
26 |
ㄱ이튿날 이스라엘 사람이 싸울 때에 모세가 와서 和睦(화목)시키려 하여 가로되 너희는 兄弟(형제)라 어찌 서로 害(해)하느냐 하니

The next day Moses came upon two Israelites who were fighting. He tried to reconcile them by saying, 'Men, you are brothers; why do you want to hurt each other?' And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another? |

그 동무를 害(해)하는 사람이 모세를 밀뜨려 가로되 ㄴ누가 너를 官員(관원)과 裁判長(재판장)으로 우리 위에 세웠느냐
But the man who was mistreating the other pushed Moses aside and said, 'Who made you ruler and judge over us? But he that did his neighbour wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us? |
28 |
네가 어제 애굽 사람을 죽임과 같이 또 나를 죽이려느냐 하니
Do you want to kill me as you killed the Egyptian yesterday?' Wilt thou kill me, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday? |
29 |
ㄷ모세가 이 말을 因(인)하여 逃走(도주)하여 ㄹ미디안 땅에서 나그네 되어 거기서 아들 둘을 낳으니라
When Moses heard this, he fled to Midian, where he settled as a foreigner and had two sons. Then fled Moses at this saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begat two sons. |
30 |
四十年(사십년)이 차매 ㅁ天使(천사)가 ㅂ시내山(산) 曠野(광야) 가시나무 떨기 불꽃 가운데서 그에게 보이거늘
After forty years had passed, an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai. And when forty years were expired, there appeared to him in the wilderness of mount Sina an angel of the Lord in a flame of fire in a bush. |

모세가 이 光景(광경)을 보고 奇異(기이)히 여겨 알아보려고 가까이 가니 主(주)의 소리 있어
When he saw this, he was amazed at the sight. As he went over to look more closely, he heard the Lord's voice: When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him, |
32 |
ㅅ나는 네 祖上(조상)의 하나님 즉 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱의 하나님이로라 하신대 모세가 무서워 敢(감)히 알아 보지 못하더라

'I am the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.' Moses trembled with fear and did not dare to look. Saying, I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold. |

主(주)께서 가라사대 ㅇ네 발에 신을 벗으라 너 섰는 곳은 거룩한 땅이니라
Then the Lord said to him, 'Take off your sandals; the place where you are standing is holy ground. Then said the Lord to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feet: for the place where thou standest is holy ground. |
34 |
내 百姓(백성)이 애굽에서 괴로움 받음을 ㅈ내가 丁寧(정녕)히 보고 ㅊ그 歎息(탄식)하는 소리를 듣고 ㅋ저희를 救援(구원)하려고 내려 왔노니 ㅌ時方(시방) 내가 너를 애굽으로 보내리라 하시니라
I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.' I have seen, I have seen the affliction of my people which is in Egypt, and I have heard their groaning, and am come down to deliver them. And now come, I will send thee into Egypt. |
35 |
저희 말이 ㅍ누가 너를 官員(관원)과 裁判長(재판장)으로 세웠느냐 하며 拒絶(거절)하던 그 모세를 하나님은
ㅎ가시나무 떨기 가운데서 보이던 天使(천사)의 손을 依託(의탁)하여 官員(관원)과 贖良(속량)하는 者(자)로 보내셨으니
This is the same Moses whom they had rejected with the words, 'Who made you ruler and judge?' He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush. This Moses whom they refused, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge? the same did God send to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel which appeared to him in the bush. |
36 |
ㅏ이 사람이 百姓(백성)을 引導(인도)하여 나오게 하고 ㅑ애굽과
ㅓ紅海(홍해)와 ㅕ曠野(광야)에서 ㅗ四十年間(사십년간) ㅛ奇事(기사)와
1)標蹟(표적)을 行(행)하였느니라
He led them out of Egypt and did wonders and miraculous signs in Egypt, at the Red Sea and for forty years in the desert. He brought them out, after that he had shewed wonders and signs in the land of Egypt, and in the Red sea, and in the wilderness forty years. |

이스라엘 子孫(자손)을 對(대)하여 하나님이 너희 兄弟(형제) 가운데서 ㅜ나와 같은 先知者(선지자)를 세우리라 하던 者(자)가 곧 이 모세라
This is that Moses who told the Israelites, 'God will send you a prophet like me from your own people.' This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. |
38 |
시내山(산)에서 말하던 ㅠ그 天使(천사)와 및 우리 祖上(조상)들과 함께 으曠野(광야) 敎會(교회)에 있었고
2)또 이生命(생명)의 ㅐ道(도)를 ㄱ받아 우리에게 주던 者(자)가 ㄴ이 사람이라
He was in the assembly in the desert, with the angel who spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers; and he received living words to pass on to us. This is he, that was in the church in the wilderness with the angel which spake to him in the mount Sina, and with our fathers: who received the lively oracles to give unto us: |

우리 祖上(조상)들이 모세에게 服從(복종)치 아니하고자 하여 拒絶(거절)하며 ㄷ그 마음이 도리어 애굽으로 行(행)하여
But our fathers refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt. To whom our fathers would not obey, but thrust him from them, and in their hearts turned back again into Egypt, |
40 |
아론더러 이르되 ㄹ우리를 引導(인도)할 神(신)들을 우리를 爲(위)하여 만들라 애굽 땅에서 우리를 引導(인도)하던 이 모세는 어떻게 되었는지 알지 못하노라 하고
They told Aaron, 'Make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who led us out of Egypt--we don't know what has happened to him!' Saying unto Aaron, Make us gods to go before us: for as for this Moses, which brought us out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him. |
41 |
그 때에 ㅁ저희가 송아지를 만들어 그 偶像(우상) 앞에 祭祀(제사)하며 ㅂ自己(자기) 손으로 만든 것을 ㅅ기뻐하더니
That was the time they made an idol in the form of a calf. They brought sacrifices to it and held a celebration in honor of what their hands had made. And they made a calf in those days, and offered sacrifice unto the idol, and rejoiced in the works of their own hands. |
42 |
ㅇ하나님이 돌이키사 저희를 그 하늘의 ㅈ軍隊(군대) 섬기는 일에 ㅊ버려 두셨으니 이는 先知者(선지자)의 冊(책)에 記錄(기록)된 바 이스라엘의
집이여 ㅋ四十年(사십년)을 曠野(광야)에서 너희가 ㅌ犧牲(희생)과 祭物(제물)을 내게 드린 일이 있었느냐
But God turned away and gave them over to the worship of the heavenly bodies. This agrees with what is written in the book of the prophets: "'Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the desert, O house of Israel? Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets, O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness? |

ㅍ몰록의 帳幕(장막)과 神(신) 레판의 별을 받들었음이여 이것은 너희가 절하고자 하여 만든 形像(형상)이로다 내가 너희를 바벨론 밖에 옮기리라함과 같으니라

You have lifted up the shrine of Molech and the star of your god Rephan, the idols you made to worship. Therefore I will send you into exile' beyond Babylon. Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon. |

ㅎ曠野(광야)에서 우리 祖上(조상)들에게 證據(증거)의 帳幕(장막)이 있었으니 ㅏ이것은 모세에게 말씀하신 이가 命(명)하사 저가 본 그
式(식)대로 만들게 하신 것이라
Our forefathers had the tabernacle of the Testimony with them in the desert. It had been made as God directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen. Our fathers had the tabernacle of witness in the wilderness, as he had appointed, speaking unto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seen. |
45 |
우리 祖上(조상)들이 ㅑ그것을 받아 하나님이 ㅓ저희 앞에서 쫓아내신 ㅕ異邦人(이방인)의 땅을 占領(점령)할 때에 ㅗ여호수아와 함께 가지고 들어가사 ㅛ다윗 때까지 이르니라
Having received the tabernacle, our fathers under Joshua brought it with them when they took the land from the nations God drove out before them. It remained in the land until the time of David, Which also our fathers that came after brought in with Jesus into the possession of the Gentiles, whom God drave out before the face of our fathers, unto the days of David; |
46 |
ㅜ다윗이 하나님 앞에서 恩惠(은혜)를 받아 3)ㅠ야곱의 집을 爲(위)하여 하나님의 으處所(처소)를 準備(준비)케 하여 달라 하더니
who enjoyed God's favor and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob. Who found favour before God, and desired to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob. |
47 |
이솔로몬이 그를 爲(위)하여 집을 지었느니라
But it was Solomon who built the house for him. But Solomon built him an house. |
48 |
ㅐ그러나 至極(지극)히 높으신 이는 ㄱ손으로 지은 곳에 계시지 아니하시나니 先知者(선지자)의 말한 바
However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. As the prophet says: Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet, |

主(주)께서 가라사대 ㄴ하늘은 나의 寶座(보좌)요 땅은
나의 발등상이니 너희가 나를 爲(위)하여 무슨 집을 짓겠으며 나의 安息(안식)할 處所(처소)가 어디뇨
'Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be? Heaven is my throne, and earth is my footstool: what house will ye build me? saith the Lord: or what is the place of my rest? |

이 모든 것이 다 내 손으로 지은 것이 아니냐 함과 같으니라
Has not my hand made all these things?' Hath not my hand made all these things? |
51 |
ㄷ목이 곧고 ㄹ마음과 귀에 割禮(할례)를 받지 못한 사람들아 너희가 恒常(항상) 聖靈(성령)을
거스려 ㅁ너희 祖上(조상)과 같이 너희도 하는도다
You stiff-necked people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are just like your fathers: You always resist the Holy Spirit! Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye. |

ㅂ너희 祖上(조상)들은 先知者(선지자) 中(중)에 누구를 逼迫(핍박)지 아니하였느냐 ㅅ義人(의인)이 오시리라 豫告(예고)한 者(자)들을 저희가 죽였고 이제 너희는 그
ㅇ義人(의인)을 잡아준 者(자)요 殺人(살인)한 者(자)가 되나니
Was there ever a prophet your fathers did not persecute? They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One. And now you have betrayed and murdered him-- Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: |

너희가 ㅈ天使(천사)의 傳(전)한 律法(율법)을 받고도 ㅊ지키지 아니하였도다 하니라
you who have received the law that was put into effect through angels but have not obeyed it." Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it. |
54 |
● 저희가 이 말을 듣고 ㅋ마음에 찔려 저를 向(향)하여 ㅌ이를 갈거늘
When they heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth. |
55 |
스데반이 ㅍ聖靈(성령)이
充滿(충만)하여 하늘을 우러러 注目(주목)하여
ㅎ하나님의 榮光(영광)과 및 예수께서 하나님 ㅏ右便(우편)에 서신 것을 보고
But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, |

말하되 보라 ㅑ하늘이 열리고
ㅓ人子(인자)가 하나님 右便(우편)에 서신 것을 보노라 한대
Look, he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God." And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. |

저희가 큰 소리를 지르며 귀를 막고 一心(일심)으로 그에게 달려들어
At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him, Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, |

ㅕ城(성) 밖에 내치고 ㅗ돌로 칠새 ㅛ證人(증인)들이 옷을 벗어 ㅜ사울이라 하는 靑年(청년)의 발 앞에 두니라
dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul. And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's feet, whose name was Saul. |

저희가 돌로 스데반을 치니 스데반이 ㅠ부르짖어 가로되 主(주) 예수여 으내 靈魂(영혼)을 받으시옵소서 하고
While they were stoning him, Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit." And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit. |

이무릎을 꿇고 크게 불러 가로되 ㅐ主(주)여 이 罪(죄)를 저들에게 돌리지 마옵소서 이 말을 하고 ㄱ자니라
